  1. I'm reading on Twitter that Lincoln Riley and Brian Kelly have the same agent. If true, it means LSU football's next decade will be defined by one agent's ability to swindle them.
  2. I don't buy for one fucking second that Riley was seriously considering LSU. I don't know what's going on in Baton Rouge but they have lost the plot.
  3. I don't know. But I don't find anything he's done at ND to be particularly impressive.
  4. This is gonna be a spectacular failure. We are a fucking mess right now, but I'm glad LSU mortgaged their next decade on this overrated asshole.
  5. If it was all about money, then he made the right decision. Everything else looks like a downgrade.
  6. I think this is a bad move by Kelly and a bad fit overall for LSU.
  7. Oak bomb/luden's cherry cough drop. I love it for a special occasions but won't drink more than one in a night.
  8. Why are these guys hitting the transfer portal so quickly? I'm not complaining, but it doesn't make much sense. Are they not interested to see who OU hires?
  9. Agree with all that. But what makes this an interesting situation is the next OU coach is not coming into an ideal situation. You're replacing a coach who is averaging 11 wins a season with multiple trips to the playoffs in a 5 year span. SEC probably starts in 2023. Losing 3-4 games a year is a seriously possibility. Managing the fanbase's expectations will be tough. It's also looks like OU was completely blindsided here, which surprises me a little bit. There have been NFL rumors with Riley for a couple of years. I hate OU but respect their athletic department. I think they'll make a smart hire, but let's see. If they hire someone like Leach or Kiffin that is extremely risky.
  10. I know there's no "good" way for him to take the USC job, but this is The Godfather baptism scene level shit from Lincoln Riley.
  11. This was all about timing and USC benefitted from 1. Texas and OU's move to the SEC and 2. The Pac-12 being weak and ripe for the taking
  12. It's a savvy move by Riley. What competition do you have long term in the Pac-12? Oregon? Most of these West Coast schools don't care enough about football. He can turn around SC in a year or two and immediately enter the playoff discussion.
  13. If Rittenhouse didn't bring an AR-15 to the protest, he wouldn't have to live the rest of his life with the fact that he killed 2 people. Strapping a weapon invites fear. And how strangers react to their own fear is a complete unknown. Going with the assumption that Rittenhouse is a "good kid", then he will probably be dealing with PTSD for the rest of his life. Why even put yourself in that situation? Is it a good thing if someone open carries a handgun into a bar/restaurant, which triggers someone with mental health issues to aggressively approach said gun owner, and the gun owner kills in self defense? Neither party wins in that situation. Does it benefit society? Does it make us safer?
  14. Look, the issue a lot of us have with this is very simple. Regular citizens should not be able to open carry and LARP as militia. Even moreso in these volatile situations. It should not be legal. Seeing a 17 year old do it with an AR-15 in hand is nauseating. It looks like the right verdict was reached. But there is understandable concern that we've opened Pandora's Box. Is looting good? Of course not. Is the answer to have any regular Joe legally open carry? FUCK NO. Feels like a lot of people on the right are actively hoping more citizens open carry in public. This is madness. Use your fucking brains.
  15. Incredible to think how we threw a bomb to go up 28-7 against OU in the first half - where I think the majority of Texas fans at that moment were thinking "shit, we are FUCKING GOOD" - to losing 6 straight games and trying to determine if we've truly hit rock bottom yet. Really shows how fragile this program has been over the last decade. Burning it down and starting over - at every level - is the only way forward. Hopefully everyone involved with the program eats their humble pie and is ready to go back to work next year.

  17. After one user on Patriots.win wrote, “Antifags and BLMKKK gotta be shitting. We have permission to defend ourselves now,” [sic] another responded, “We don’t need fucking permission and never did. But now, it’s a legal precedent.” One boogalooer on Twitter wrote: “WE CAN PROTECT OUR COMMUNITIES NOW REFERENCING RITTENHOUSE V. Wisconsin.” On Telegram, QAnon John wrote, “This case is a MAJOR turning point in the quest for JUSTICE in our country. Especially in terms of the 2nd Amendment, and self-defense cases moving forward…The precedent set in this trial will be one that is revisited, and referenced for the unseeable future.” Also on Telegram, Aaron Chapman, the leader of the neo-Nazi group the Occidental Templars, praised the verdict as giving “good Americans legal precedent and license to kill violent commies without worrying about doing life in prison if we defend ourselves in a riot. This will also show militia types that they don’t have to avoid the riots to protect themselves legally.” One user in the Proud Boys public chatroom on Telegram shared an image of the snake from the Gadsden flag biting the fist from the antifa logo with the caption “YOU WERE WARNED.” Beneath it, the user wrote, “#Kyle #FAFO” (“FAFO” stands for “Fuck around and find out.”)
