  1. I'm having Manny Diaz flashbacks on basically every usc defensive play.
  2. This was the type of game I thought Yun and crew would take their shot. I know they had some shit calls / noncalls but what I mean is a game altering call that would screw us over and keep us out of the big 12 championship and playoffs. I was expecting Yun to bump into sark and call unsportsmanlike.
  3. That 8th inning calmed everyone. Not even a whiff of fuckery was gonna happen in the 9th.
  4. Fuck ya! Now for the Longhorns and cowboys to hold up their end this weekend. Potential for a special week Rangers leaving no doubt
  5. Voted. I know I voted against the mandatory retirement age increase and the wealth tax issue. Those 2 stuck out. I read this thread before I went as well as read on line. I voted for the property tax deductions increase and the teacher retirement COL raise.
  6. To piggyback off of pato, there is a greater than 50% chance my family goes to stay next summer for 1-2 years at my wife's parents estate in mexico city. We would be looking to rent our home here and we want to have a property manager to look after it. What is a fair price for them to charge monthly? Houses in our area of flower mound around our Sq footage go for about 3k a month. Does anyone know any property management companies who do a good job and won't gouge me. When do I need to get the ball rolling if we want to leave to mexico next july.
  7. Just got back from walking the dog. 45 degrees out, no wind, cloudy and a fine mist coming down. I smelled memories of my childhood it was so glorious. Now for my morning coffee out on the back porch. The anticipation is almost killing me. Putting on the fireplace for shits and giggles cause the heater is staying off no matter how cold it gets today. May cook up a vegetable beef stew.
  8. I am going to use this. It may be next year or a decade from now but Im going to find a way to work this into conversation before I die.
  9. Yea all good. He fixed it and of course there was no charge. The tub looks good and they hope to finish tomorrow and clean up some of Thursday. Thanks for the input
  10. The big 10 should kick them out and the ncaa should make them join the pac 12 starting in 2024.
  11. Is the 1 person motion to vacate rule for all speakers moving forward for this term or was it just for Mccarthy . How many is it normally?
  12. Ive set my expectations incredibly low because I have seen this movie before, and the sequel. I hope it works out but my excitement for the playoffs is gone. 4-1 is probably the best we can hope for unless Quinn comes back for Iowa St. vs BYU - toss up vs KSt - toss up @ TCU - W @Iowa St - L vs Tech - W
  13. Yea I talked to my brother. He does this kind of stuff and he said for sure fix the curb. Thats what it is called. And to show him the video of the tub faucet install, but in a nice way. He told me not to get to anxious or upset. The only thing I am losing is time. If he has to redo the tub intall 50 times, then thats what he will have to do.
  14. Need some advice, Im starting to get some anxiety. Our GC and his team measured the lip (walk in) of our shower incorrectly by about 1/2 an inch and my wife just noticed it yesterday after they had tiled. Its like 26 inches on the right side and 25.5 in on the left from wall to lip. Now that I see it, its noticeably crooked but they have basically finished the shower. The other major issue is they have now had to restart the plumbing for the bath 2x. My wife was concerned about 10 days ago about how the bath tub plumbing would work. She wanted to show the GC a video of our specific bath faucet and how to install and I told her it would be an insult to the GC (my mistake). She ended up just asking him about it that day any way and he ended up redoing the plumbing. She was still concerned a few days ago (after the first redo) and made him look at our tub and now they are in the middle of redoing it again. They had to dig up the new tile that was already completed and are moving the plumbing again. Mind you this is not my wife asking him to redo anything. She just asked him TWICE how the plumbing would work and both times he ended up changing what he had done. And she is STILL concerned and now I am as well. So, what do I need to do? I am a laid back guy and am not a plumber but now I am not only concerned but Im getting more and more pissed off. I did not go behind these guys every fucking step of the way and make sure they were doing it correctly. I didnt want to be that home owner. And now I feel like their laziness/ineptitude has cost me some sanity. We have been displaced for 3 weeks now as one of their guys got covid last week and we were out of town the week before. I want to have them redo the shower lip on their own dime. I want to show this guy that video of the install of our bath faucet and have him verbally tell me EXACTLY how he plans to do it. I want to hire another contractor and have this guy babysit the GC I have now and have our current GC foot the bill or else Im not paying him the remaining 70% of the remodel. Which of these next steps is warranted and which is just me being too pissed off to think right now. We cant even use our master bedroom because of the dust for the past 3 weeks. And her parents are coming in on Tuesday and when we started 4 weeks ago our GC assured me they would be done well before then.
  15. S&P 500 closed below its 200 day moving average today. https://www.wsj.com/livecoverage/stock-market-today-dow-jones-10-20-2023/card/s-p-500-closes-below-200-day-moving-average-uiuwICarQNppSQ1whLOn?mod=finance_lcmarkets_pos1 From Google bard FWIW Since 1950, the S&P 500 has closed below its 200-day moving average 38 times. Of those 38 times, 31 have resulted in a bear market, which is about 80% of the time.
  16. Well I just asked Google bard what texas's odds were to make the playoffs and it told me 38.7% chance and a 98% chance if we win out.

    Colonoscopy

Had my first one done a couple months ago. Im 48. Family history of polyps and colon ca. 1 polyp that was not pre-cancerous. 5 years in from here on out. Very happy I did it. I talked to the MD and once a pre cancerous polyp forms it takes 3-7 years on average for it to 'possibly' turn in to stage 1 cancer. For my first 48 years, Im batting a thousand.
