Still seems like it'd make more sense to just do a Thurs-Sat series (or leave Monday open for both teams). Skipping Friday only helps you if there is a weather issue on Thursday whereas skipping Sunday or Monday can help if any of the games are rained/snowed out.
I would have presumed an extra four days off would mean more off Mondays and Thursdays, not Fridays.
And if the point is to accommodate weather issues, it only makes sense to put off days at the end of a series, not after the first game of it.
It's not nearly as bad as 290 west but that stretch of 290 east of Elgin where it's 4 undivided lanes is dangerous as hell too. My best friend was killed out there 3 years ago.
I’m all for disincentivizing mid-inning pitching changes. Holding a guy out for one game also doesn’t really punish teams who need to make a mid-inning change due to injury.
Northbound traffic still has a light for the southbound left turn lane into that office park but they took out the light on the southbound side a little while back.
It's fucking maddening when that lane is still somehow backed up by the exiting traffic, despite the light on 360 being removed so there's nowhere for the exiting traffic to get hung up.
Fortunately this has only thus far been a goal of the suburban megachurch GOP faction and the rural Republicans have been able to fend it off. I’m hopeful the ass kicking Empower Texans took in the GOP primaries will allow that to continue.
I’ve never heard anyone describe the tax code as fair so I’m not sure why you’d expect them to start now. I also don’t know why your taxes were affected by $8000 when the tax credit for a Sonata Plug-in Hybrid is only $4919. (I’m assuming you bought the plug-in hybrid as regular hybrids stopped carrying a tax credit in 2010.)
