  1. We're through three. The Fuck You no Fuck You arguments are noisy and pointless beyond a few seconds. The misery of the workers starts raising questions about why they continue. The good cheer is gone amid the toil. The first episode is like a very well-crafted tone poem. That's hard to do because there is such risk that a single misstep will lose the audience. It's the kind of patient filmmaking you see in the Station Agent and The Visitor (Tom McCarthy movies). Now it's like being plugged into a wall socket. We'll finish because it's been so good, but I'm glad of the warning that it doesn't really go anywhere. Lowered expectations will be a boon.
  2. Non-stars Niles Crain (great all around but brilliant at physical comedy) Ted Baxter (MTM show) Kramer
  3. Welcome to yokelville where homophobia increases your manful manliness quotient. This guy adds an astute observation. I get the feeling this guy wasn't a combat soldier but wants to sound as though he's on a recon in enemy territory. Same guy, very next post Black T shirt. No Aggie gear. Undercover in enemy territory risking heckling should he be found out. This is a land where nobody cares if you can't find the gigantic stadium. Nary a Howdy! Alone on a stealthy bike. Furtive. Coiled like a cobra. Barely got out. Area scoped out; ready for larger incursion in uniform. Iraq2xvet RTB but ready! Yeah, I can't really see this guy covering a sector from a rolling Humvee. (I saw Generation Kill, I think that is probably closer to action than ol' Two Times up there). Congressional Medal of Ugly for this guy (Yeah, I did some time in the 'Nam by seeing Full Metal Jacket.)
  4. They're just misunderstood.
  5. That's evidence that he's not a moron? Interesting opinion considering they hired a HC who was an unpaid assistant just a year ago. Maybe he was sure he could save a million a year from a non-revenue sport and still attract a good coach because of their fabulous facilitiesfacilitiesfacilities, that great Aggie homefield advantage, and his own brilliance as a negotiator salesman. No cherry for you, Aggie.
  6. Yep. They have some great players, but a mass migration of their top talent to Texas wouldn't feel altogether right to me. We seem to be doing just fine, as you say, without them.
  7. Fuck. They keep writing new stupid things. Schlossnagle (POS to the nickname maniacs in College Station) Coached the deciding game for the college NC a week ago. How much has the world changed since then? That's a business man for sure!
  8. How deep is their overdraft protection? Those idiots won't be able to hire a decent head coach. They'll come my way, you just watch. Man, this jersey looks better-- nope don't go there. Think of the money. Still waiting on the names of the two MLB managers William told us about just a few days ago. Still installing his system. I wonder about that, too. The portal guys have a bit of time to decide. Do they really want to play at a school with an untried head baseball coach when they could go to a certain contender? The longer they stay unattached, the better other places will start to look.
  9. Fucker never did anything while he was here. Can't believe anybody would hire him.
  10. Also their self-righteous victimhood and how they're so classy and nice in a mean ol' world. Lying their asses off but believing every word they say. Is that a feedback loop?
  11. From the texags announcement thread: I guess a new Aggie fact also known as a lie has been born. Early was actually the coach last year. Schloss was busy swinging or lying. Sad. This is like standing at a volcano of myth making. More mythology Look out, BCR! Here's one of them highly decorated texags. And, he's got the paranoia to prove why! File under "I'd rather have a 3-star than a snooty 5-star!" and "who gives a shit?" Another guy for the list: Yup.
  12. That one guy is right about OU's SEC party. I'm furious that the SEC is allowing OU to steal attention away from our party. I'm guessing the Sooners weren't any more aware of our party than I was of theirs. Aggies are keeping score.
  13. I've never come here before. This page is very nice. A&M should have tried to be less Aggie and given Schloss everything he needed. The 2%ers must be sick at what they allowed to happen. The non-2%ers think it all happened to them due to us. This talent influx suggests Texas' commitment to returning to the top. Restore the dynasty!
  14. "I'm getting texts from coaches around the country from HS to the NFL Majors saying Jimbo Elko Earley was a homerun hire for football baseball and there's not a better guy to lead a program. "Jimbo Elko Earley gets A&M and this is his dream job. Expect a culture change. Jimbo Elko Earley will bring accountability and a lunch pail work ethic. Attendance at football baseball practice will be absolutely required. Football Baseball coaches and fans all over the SEC are worried about what Jimbo Elko Earley can get done in view of all of our resources, facilities, and the greatest fans in the world."
  15. Checked at Texags not really expecting anything new enough to post. Wrong again. The Early Crisis and what it means for Texas' and Schloss' tarnished reputations. Just how much of a victory is it to persuade an assistant to be head coach? Evidently pretty big and difficult to attain. It would lessen the deflating and crumbling should Earley do so! It took me a moment to get that one. He's talking about Texas offering to take care of A&M. We see what happens when they wander away from that helping hand. Too bad, it will never be extended again.
  16. I can't think of any school other than A&M the above would apply to. Iowa State has made some noise in recent years. They've defeated us more than once and even done it in DKR. I manage to like Iowa State and the fans I've come across here and elsewhere on the internet. They don't crow anymore than anyone else. They don't, as far as I know, pay for national campaigns claiming their fearlessness on every manful manly front. I don't think they care if I like them or hate them. It makes me like them more. You can apply that to any school that I can think of. Nobody is on a jihad against the evil to be found in their most hated rival. Most people don't actually hate their most hated rival. The Aggies commenting on the Schloss welcome press conference noted he seemed very uncomfortable particularly when answering questions about A&M. He was receiving death threats! He was feeling the full force of A&M's jihad with no experience of how lightly one should take it. They're all mouth. Fuck them. We're coming on in football and baseball at just the right moment. Most people are happy about that even if they root against us. Nobody gives a shit about Texas A&M University beyond their annual self-immolations and embarrassing public displays of bizarre traditions. We're Texas. Screw you.
  17. Maybe NBC is angling not to be seized for reporting fake news under the second Trump reign. They'll say it's only fair to balance out some Dem they had on last week. It's the saddest joke ever.
  18. We hired Schlossnagle only because we thought Earley came with him. Earley is the entire key to the whole shootin' match. Schloss is nothing without Earley and the A&M facilitiesfaciltiesfacillities. Curses! We're about to be foiled again!
  19. NPR the day after the debate. Rightfully, they reported the Dem worry about Joe's acuity. Then they beat into the ground for awhile. Trump is mentioned as a contrast to Joe by being more forceful and present as a speaker. Fair that. Oh, they added as an aside, "although much of what he said were falsehoods." That's it. Trump is traitor, liar, amoral narcissist, and a felon. But the hubub is that Joe performed poorly and the Dems, as they do, panicked. You tell me which of the above is the big story in a presidential election? But it's how they always cover the horse race as alluled to above. No salient issues like base qualifications as a person or citizen, instead we get coverage of how the needle moves for the morons from day to day. The biggest news story since WW2 is that the US electorate is considering and may indeed be electing a "man" whose malignant flaws and general malignancy are in plain view. The electronic press are missing it because of the template they can't help but apply. Any American in a coma would be a better choice than Trump who shouldn't be comfortable appearing in public. My whole white male babyboomer run of luck is looking a little shaky. The climate will likely hold up long enough for me, but I doubt my country will. And not an argument in the world will have any impact on the future of a free republic.
  20. You know, I go to regular TexAgs. I see stupid shit that I don't want to post if it's just a single maniac/moron. Then... OMG! They retained an assistant to take over, and all of their players aren't portalling out! Our big party's a bust! Something feels deflated! Schloss is crumbling before our eyes! There's more from two highly decorated Aggies: Then a "rookie" steps in and makes their plan even more diabolical: Later in the thread, some more Aggie observations and planning. Maybe they should be filed under hysterical delusion. They're not as upvoted as those above, but I suspect the slow readers over there haven't got to them yet:
  21. Superman knows the score and whose foot is on whose throat. Classy fans sending poorly worded death threats trump everything in the world. It's like some sort of high wizardy shit in dungeons and dragons and dweebs.
  22. There were about 15 years in there transitioning from Macovic to Mack Brown that our defense would regularly crack open right up the middle for long touchdown plays. I don't want to live those days again. Three questions: 1. We're missing out on star players, but are our players and prospective players at DT worse than average? 2. We're recruiting well at Edge and LB. Why wouldn't the talent imbalance moving to those positions not offset the diminished talent at the DT spots? 3. It seems that great speed and power at Edge and LB offers advantages against the increasing reliance on the pass. Is there no effective defensive scheme that maximizes LB and Edge and relies less on DTs?
  23. Good point. They are the kings of incredulity. They closely examine any presented fact before embracing it as true. You've got to wake up way before the early bird to fool these guys. Schlossnagle's burner phones and him throwing the CWS are truths to be carved in stone. Now they just have to wait awhile to see which "prominent MLB manager" leaves the pros to come to his (and everyone else's) dream job in Destination Station home of the Texas A&M Fightin' Texas Aggies from Texas!
