  1. As I recall, they did try some screen passes. The pressure was so great on one attempt that Johnson had to throw it to the RB who was either out of position or the pass was bad. Incomplete. I think they tried it a few other times and got some yards. "Inches and execution," says Jimbo.
  2. Typical Aggie explanation for their weird shit that they think is perfectly reasonable:
  3. 1. Unintended irony 2. Unsubstantiated claim 3. Nobody does. 4. Oxymoron.
  4. Watched it within the last two weeks, and I had to think pretty hard to remember anything about it. I think you're right about them not knowing exactly what kind of movie they wanted. Barely not bad.
  5. I don't know how the word "worse" enters into a discussion about somebody getting $75MM even if it's $50MM after taxes. Oh, and the receiver is already a multi-millionaire. I'd just be smiling all the time and saying, "This is great!"
  6. But it's no problem. This Aggie is proud of the way they can burn almost a $100MM. They'll always have plenty of money to hire coaches that would rather not go there and only do so if the payout is absurd.
  7. Of course, Jimbo came to A&M out of love for the school. That's why originally he only asked for a ten-year guaranteed contract worth $75,000,000.00. He was gig-em through and through.
  8. Such a display of intellectual prowess. "Hey, Billy, looks like you were wrong. Here's the quote." "Come over here! I'm gonna kick your ass."
  9. On that first try on fourth down when he couldn't make a decision fast enough is where I assumed Miller was an underclassman. Tennessee did a great job with the run. As I said above, it doesn't take long passes to keep that working. Miller wasn't hitting them and it was killing their drives. As the Vols approached the A&M goal line, it appeared to me that they adopted run plays with slow handoffs up the middle. Many of their best runs developed towards the edges with their very good RBs deciding where to cut. Heupel looks like he belongs on a second hand, dented metal fishing boat. You'd find hearing loud Keystone belches and slurred curses at the motor. He'd go well at A&M.
  10. Does he call the plays? He has a solid running game going, but, of course, you need to throw the ball to keep the defense spread out a little bit. But you don't have to throw a bomb every time! Stupid. I'd never seen the Tennessee QB play before. He needs some seasoning. Both teams looked like shit on offense. A&M's d-line is good, but they lost contain quite a bit. Poor Aggies.
  11. Some boys is going to get invited to the office for an ass kicking.
  12. They latch onto something favorable to them and they never let go even when it becomes unfavorable to them. They're unranked. Nobody expects them to finish ranked. They had a miserable losing season last year. But somebody says they have the 4th ranked team in terms of talent. If it were true, how do they explain their performance? They're proving that that ranking is meaningless, yet still they parade it around. The benefit for us is that they will use it to build themselves up every summer in the belief that it's their year.
  13. I know you're not advocating this. You illustrate the problem of giving into immediate emotion. It is hard not to say get rid of every last one of them because it sounds like a simple sweeping solution to the problem. Blood calls for blood. The problem is that it never works. Will the Israelis lament their decision in time as they realize just what kind of slaughter they're responsible for? Will they wish they'd made their decisions in a more sober mood? Again, I know I'm not arguing with any point that you advocate. Yes. My lack of imagination about how to respond to the Hamas attacks is not justification for consigning half of Gaza to the sword. Same as above. Our lack of a solution doesn't justify Israel not exploring solutions other than running a heavy conventional armed force through a dense civilian population. All that is in place here and not working, my friend. Excellent point, IMHO. Palestinian LIves Matter. We've grown as callous to the value of their lives as we have been of those Blacks killed and brutalized by police here. The Mytilenean Debate where the Athenians decide the fate of an island that continually revolts is instructive here, I think. Furious, the Athenians vote terrible punishment for Mytilene. They think it will deter others from revolting. The Athenians were still angry. Cleon made a speech supporting the carrying out of the punishment as a matter of law and the expedience of deterring further aggressions. (I love the pragmatism of the ancients.) Diodotus responds: What are the long-term interests of the state? Diodotus makes his finishing point with the same pragmatism: Will Israel's own interests be served by yielding to understandable blood lust? I doubt it. What should Israel do? Maybe take a beat and try pragmatism.
  14. Moderates and conservatives? What dream world is that guy living in? As always, thanks, Brakeman, for posting these. My remarks are not aimed at the messenger.
  15. I get murderous just hearing the cutesy banjo plunks leading into their cornball stories. I guess their regulars love that shit. I always felt like they used good chicken, but I never felt good after eating there. Oh, and Death to Cheezits!
  16. I actually think he has that backwards. Trump is the elephant keeping the mouse in the chair.
  17. My friend, the two answers below your post answer it quite well. Regarding Islam fundamentalism and Christian fundimentalism, the former has resulted in occasional stochastic terrorist acts while the latter poses an existential threat to the republic as we know it. The Jews are off the hook on this one unless we subject them to the tyranny of lies that has provoked their persecution over the centuries. Travel into the countryside and listen to small town radio which is usually preachers. In store windows, see the flyers announcing a visit by a Spiritual Warrior leader. The movement is huge. New Republic These dangerous idiots, as has been pointed out before, love Israel because they, the idiots, are convinced we are in end days. They have been so convinced for a couple of centuries. That said, would it surprise anyone if these movements turned on American Jews to fire the hate and mistrust such organizations need to generate funds and support?
  18. Would they still be ranked number 4 if Miller and Coleman de-commit? It's a pretty big deal to them to be ranked that high. I'd hate to see the upset if they dropped out of the top ten when they all agree that "at least Jimbo is a great recruiter."
  19. Did Trump promise to obey the laws set forth in the Constitution or any laws for that matter? Trump also didn't promise not to use the Constitution as toilet paper if he has to take a shit while defending it. Someone earlier posted that the word "support" is included in the dictionary definition of defend. I suppose Trump never promised that he would look up anything having to do with the law or his oath. It was just words and lies. Business as usual for him and his party. We're accustomed to it, so it's okay.
  20. Some news organizations still can't bring themselves to call a lie a lie. Pussyfooting.
  21. Timing is everything. Maybe he should asked this back in the winter of 2020. January 2021 would have been another good time to ask that. Or maybe he asked Donald Trump and Sidney Powell and Rudy. Is this guy reflective enough to wonder what the fuck he was thinking?
  22. Efficiency of Egress thy name is Aggy.
