  1. This is satire right? They play 44 fucking games in their regular season.
  2. I was thinking he is a completely different from the guy who played in that first preseason game. That can be said for a number of guys and while they still have areas that are question marks it is pretty damn obvious that cutting out the cancers from last years team was the biggest thing they did in the off season starting with Leremy.
  3. According to Google, Purdue has won a men's national title in golf (1961), women's basketball in 1999, and women's golf in 2010, Mississippi State has been competing in intercollegiate athletics for 130 years and when I asked Google AI that question I got LOL as an answer, Vandy has one in women's tennis, two in baseball, and three in bowling, Wake has 11 national titles in women's golf, men's golf, field hockey, men's tennis, and baseball, and finally Rutgers last name team title I think is from 1949 and they claim multiple times from the 1800's. Heck, if winning obscure national titles make you worthy of being in a power conference I believe TCU has 12-13 national titles.
  4. I didn't realize that Jimmy moved to the Willis side of Lake Conroe.
  5. Going with the best of the four in the opener.
  6. Understand the issue can't be fixed, but seems like not only a Rube Goldberg approach to scheduling, but makes it even more cumbersome. The obvious answer is we let Tech just go independent until they get their SEC invite and then let the eastern schools join the ACC. True, we still have Houston, but gets us down to a workable number.
  7. While the Astros need Framber to be competitive, the lynchpin for the Astros making the play offs most likely isn't a guy who is most likely going to make 7 starts in the 35 games the Astros I remaining in the season. That in my mind is their offense because right now they can't score for shit.
  8. Yet, fucking TCU has had a climate controlled indoor facility for well over 10 years and OU can't find someone to do their HVAC work at a good price? Where the hell did the SEC go?
  9. You posed your question as a comparative and the answer is Melton. Yes, Cam is bad right now, but Melton isn't even hitting his fucking body weight. Cam looks tired and to quote Cal Elrod Jr. has pretzel in his head when he comes to bat. Melton just flat sucks and hasn't shown one thing to even keep him on the roster and you might as well DFA him because who is going to take him in a trade after the way they have showcased him this month.
  10. Zac Taylor is a fucking moron. How in the world is he still employed?
  11. This week reminds me of TCU's game with Georgia. After hanging on despite the odds, pulling shit out at the last minute again and again, and then when things go bad it just completely goes to shit.

As a TCU alum I believe Stetson is one of the greatest quarterbacks in college football history. At least that is what I try to tell myself about that game. I do agree and never understood the love for his predecessor. Perfect example of the bump some get based upon their stature and recruiting profile.
  13. Seriously, someone has to give me a legit reason why Melton is in the line up? Marisnick when he was here played good defense and couldn't hit for shit average wise, but at least he had double digit home runs in three consecutive years.
  14. Was curious if it is possible in baseball to get negative offensive numbers.
  15. Because they don't really fix the problem. Why do people want to force freaking pods? The answer has been and will be divisions because they provide continuity in the competition played within that division. Yes, most likely one side is going to be stronger and people are going to bitch about it. So be it, this is price for conferences growing to these ridiculous clusterfucks.

Depends if he plays for the Astros, if so, a lower leg injury starts as minor and develops in to critical.
  18. I don't love the pitchers getting hammered in two games, but that isn't what bothered me the most during this series. The absolute lack of fight at the plate and lack of situational awareness was stunning from a team that has some guys who are supposedly familiar with playing important games this time of year. As far as Espada's lineups, fuck him. Seriously I know McCormick isn't good, but he isn't Melton bad and they don't need to see much more to see he is horribly overmatched.
  19. Metchie was having a good camp, but he just hasn't been the same since coming back and he doesn't have the explosiveness shown by the other receivers. They sent him to a play where he knows some people and if he can make the roster he is going to play in games that matter. Don't know much about the tight end coming back other than he supposedly can catch.
  20. Holy shit...... I just got to where I could see the Astros lineup and it is time for an intervention for Espada. There is no legitimate reason to have Melton batting 8th and Trammell 9th. Wasn't the entire purpose for creating the DH to avoid this type of situation?
  21. 6 years? You mean 6 dog years right?
  22. Contact is for suckers, isn't that we have been told by the analytics crowd.
  23. True, but Matthews also showed some pop in the bat. Tragically his WAR of 0.1 isn't near the bottom for this team. Just a warning for some, do not check the WAR for this roster. Curious what the response would have been in April if I told people Brice would have as many home runs as Alvarez by mid August.
  24. Take it easy, Chas isn't feeling 100% so we can't expect too much from him.
  25. Much like Walker and Altuve, you are just a bit behind.
