  1. Gangs of London House Shoot Out This was one of my favorite, wtf scenes. Obviously Spencer would have repelled those attackers in 15-20 seconds factoring in the multiple automatic weapons versus the revolvers and shotguns in the 1923 scene.

Yes, that is what he used to kill John and shot up Jacob. I am not a big gun guy, but I also was a bit surprised that in the show a tommy gun had roughly the same accurate range as a hunting rifle.

A television show that will proudly tell you that they wanted to be so authentic that they did 3D printing of the chandeliers in the train stations in New York and Boston because they couldn't find accurate replicas. Why go Wes Anderson on your site design and throw out the other crap? Series could have been Shogun level quality and it went the way of the Walking Dead.

One of the best? No, I was waiting to see a lighting bolt on the baby's forehead after Alex "sacrificed" herself, but if we are truly being realistic about the difficulty of life in that time what were the odds of her surviving multiple amputations after extreme exposure compounded by potential kidney and/or liver failure and cardiac issues. Before anyone talks about Alex surviving the freezing weather for that long would be unrealistic how realistic is it having Spencer survive jumping off a moving train not once, but twice and from what I can tell didn't pick up any injuries. Hell, the second time he jumps off the back of the train which most likely means he is landing on tracks and ties and not a snow bank and he doesn't even come up with a limp. No need to go into his walking around in freezing weather without a coat and showing no issues of the cold. Maybe I am just disappointed that Sheridan could create a world in which both Monica and Beth survive and get to live with Rip and Kacey and both Faith and Alex end up dead due to the cold. The fight being Whitfield's men, Cara, and the hands was good, though I am not sure why they didn't break out the tommy gun earlier in the fight. Suspected that when Spencer joined the fight it would be over quickly, but damn, that was almost anti-climatic, wouldn't go as far as saying it was night king death anti-climatic and expected the battle hardened Spencer would dispatch of a group of guys who thought they were hard men, but the fight in the house was over in less than 10 seconds. Whitfield was a complete piece of shit, deserved to die, but Spencer says he was going to kill him for killing Alex? What? he didn't kill Alex, hell, he didn't Spencer's brother John. He has been trying to take away the ranch and he has tried to kill his Aunt, Sister in Law, Uncle, Him, etc.....but not Alex. I would have preferred if the blonde had grabbed a knife off the table and stabbed he and the brunette. Finally, Rainwater is released, but she has no idea where she is, has no money, is told to go to California, but does she even know which way she is supposed to travel since we are told two episodes earlier by her Dad that the stars are different and it makes it difficult to travel by them. Both my wife and I felt this final episode was better than the rest of Season 2, but as I said what type of world is it that Tim dies, Faith dies, Alex dies, Jack dies, and Monica and Beth live.
  5. I do, I also know a bit about Schloss, how competitive he is, and he doesn't make any type of decisions without it someone fitting into his overall plan, but I think everyone on this thread should feel to bitch and whine and question a guy who took the program that Lance Brown started and built into something that for a period of time was as good as any program in the State without the resources of the two biggest programs. Plus, if that loss is haunting people I am curious how they got past the loss to Texas State in 2016 or the loss to Lamar that same season. Remind me who was in charge of the Texas program at that time?
  6. We all have crosses that we must carry, but in reality if a mid-week loss to Texas State is something "you must live with for the rest of your life" life ain't too bad for you.

You go that many months wearing the same damn clothes regardless of if you are swimming in the ocean, shoveling coal in a boiler room, dealing with corrupt police, or fighting hobo's and you would be grouchy as well.
  8. Son in the law played cricket and during one of the first conversations we had with him when we met him in London was why we made the damn bats round in baseball.
  9. You are right, Schloss has no fucking clue how to manage a team, build over a season, or establish a program. He was obviously unprepared for this job at simply got the spot due to a friendship with CDC.
  10. Question, aren't college athletes in other sports such as baseball, track, swimming, etc....allowed to transfer without the restrictions that football and basketball once applied and coaches complain are no longer in place?
  11. Based upon your track record of prediction we should anticipate a historic rate in the fall of batting average and home runs along with a surge in broken bats and strike outs in roughly a month or so. Will be very interesting to see how this plays out and I still think as much as the design will benefit the batter it still comes down to whether or not you can consistently make contact with the ball. Don't see Joey Gallo coming back in the league and suddenly hitting over .200 or the above mentioned Jose Siri hitting .250.
  12. Don't you still have to make contact with the ball? You could give Jose Siri one of these and he still is going to miss when he swings at a ball two feet outside. Same with the Yankees in 2017 when McCullers threw the curve ball after curve ball after curve ball. Judge could have gone up there with a canoe paddle and he wasn't touching anything so I am not ready to say this changes the game quite yet until we see how pitchers counter.

True enough and the moral of Sheridan's story is if you have to travel anywhere don't go with Alex, Rainwater, or Spencer unless you want to wind up dead or fighting for your life.

Solid character, one other reaction from Banner I found of interest is how his attitude about Spencer changed when he found out exactly where Spencer fought and not just simply that he got a medal. He tried to explain to Whitfield that Spencer is the one truly hard man of all those who are going to be involved in this showdown. By killing off the one Dutton, Sheridan has basically made Spencer immortal because once again we know the end of the story and we know the significance of the 6 generations of Duttons owning the land.

Yes, life was hard in 1923, people treated others like shit, hubris will get you killed, and people do stupid shit. I am pretty sure that has been going on since there have been people on this earth and will continue forward so I have no clue why the hell Sheridan feels the need to hammer those nails about 10 times and episode. Sad thing is this series, much like "first" part of the story could have been so much better and instead he falls back on this tired shit. Consider that he has now left Rainwater out in the middle of the fucking prairie with no clue where she is, no clue where to find food or water, no money, her dad and her first love dead and we know she somehow survives because decades later we have Thomas Rainwater. So, do you waste more time in your finale explaining how the fuck she survives, does she miraculously cross paths with the female marshal, navigates home, or do we just never really tie off that thread? Why do we need to get reminded no good deal mixed with hubris and fueled with alcohol go unpunished and do we really need to be reminded how unreliable cars and roads were in 1923 during the best of times let alone in a blizzard? Seriously Rip and Beth get their fucking ranch with foster kid and you can't have Rainwater and her love survive on the plain or Alex and the two Britts wait out the storm in Buffalo or take the train? Sheridan has gone full Shondra Rhymes with this shit. Banner is going to turn on Whitfield, you can see it in how he responded when Whitfield make the comment about the girl's mother and Banner realizes that the same pieces of shit who made his life miserable back home are present in the States even if he has a nicer home and better clothes/food for his family. Besides, somehow the Dutton's have to find out about the location of the train station unless everyone has been dumping bodies there for over a century which if the case would draw every damn scavenger in the Rockies.
  16. I am not sure if that is Al Pacino or Sean Penn, but Nick doesn't have a mustache.

I think Sheridan turn over the last few episodes to an AI program and simply asked that every possible stupid decision and peril be included in the script.
  18. TCU did get play South Carolina earlier in the year and that game was about as close as the title game against Georgia a few years back. I have no clue how Texas and South Carolina compare in terms of physicality, but did read that Carolina forced 20 turnovers and did what they wanted on the offensive end so if Texas better than that it has been a nice year for Campbell and his team.
  19. What is the worst that can happen, they look like they have totally fucked up the second driver situation and the team as a whole is in danger of imploding on Helmut?
  20. WTF? $23M a year for a receiver who had lost a step before blowing out his knee? Heck, Tank Dell might get $5M in this market if he can ever walk again.
  21. Not happening, they didn't sign two journeymen tackles with that bit of money they free upped from re-working contracts simply to pay for depth at tackle. Robinson and Fisher start and Titus slides to guard which means they stay put and draft the best available interior offensive linemen to fix one of the other holes in their offensive line and address the tackle situation next year. This isn't a great offensive tackle draft, every prospect has got some issues and I don't see them overpaying for someone they aren't sure about and you don't go get two veteran tackles if you are sure about a prospect.
  22. Not sure what people are watching, but I am damn sure people aren't watching that steaming piece of crap staring the two DeNiro's.

Understand, my wife is all in on any of Sheridan's series, but even she has started to laugh at some of the scenarios that are written for Spencer. Fucking Odysseus had an easier and shorter trip home than Spencer.

There wasn't a tense scene with them in the car with Spencer, merely wasting more fucking time. Who didn't see what was coming the minute they had the conversation about the tax? The tense scene you are talking about was lazy arse writing where Spencer with a straight razor to his throat and a grown man's hand on the barrel, somehow can move around without getting a knick on his face, turn the gun barrel, shoot one guy, and then take care of the other two. I heard Sheridan saw in a podcast that when he writes these episodes he sits down and cranks them out all at one time which makes perfect sense watching these series unfold.
