  1. Hudson Card plus this OL’s run blocking is a recipe for disaster.
  2. The gist is the QB everyone hated and saw as an unbearable limitation on Shanahan's brilliance is maybe the only thing that has kept him employed. I know he's a Longhorn, but Shanahan is so overrated as an NFL HC.
  3. Ewers extremely relaxed in the pocket while Card immediately shits his pants once he says his first read covered.
  4. If Ewers is suffering a sprain or something to his non-throwing shoulder we should expect him back after half-time, no?
  5. Inspired script by Sark sans the fade. OL holding up surprisingly well.
  6. I think seven wins is a good barometer for the minimum level of acceptable success for the season with neutral luck/injuries. Eight wins would be great.
  7. Texas had around 200 yards at halftime - what is your excuse for that? I wouldn’t trust this offense to find much success against good defenses I agree the defense did play fairly well overall, but with how bad that unit was last season I’m not going to be skeptical until they show some effectiveness against an offense. that’s worth a shit.
  8. Texas outgained ULM by hardy 100 yards. Offense was unable to gain 400 yards. Just a pretty ugly night but it only matters for a few days. Play competitive next week and no one will care although I have little expectations of that happening.
  9. It's a bend don't break mentality that I fully expect to break What I don’t get is that it’s all upper class man with many of them seniors.
  10. I didn’t know nearly the entire OL would comprise underclassmen. I guess I should have followed camp.
  11. What is the deal with the Rockies? I know the GM has only been there this season, but why would you promote him from within the org? What about the Colorado Rockies screams we need to hang on to our own talent and not try to find talent from outside the org? Is the owner retarded?
  12. Urquidy has looked fine since they dropped the new cutter in favor of his old slider. Nothing glamorous but he should be a solid backend starter moving forward. Also, Seth Martinez is maybe the most interesting pitcher on the Astros roster. Has the lowest xwOBA of any pitcher but has pretty mediocre peripherals. Can't decide if he's for real or not but he should definitely receive regular work. It's going to be tough keeping Dusty from running Neris and Montero into the ground before the post-season.
  13. Early '23 draft board. Witt at 39 and Gordon at 85. See any of our recruits on here?
  14. Melendez is destroying AA over the past month at only 20 while allegedly sitting in the mid 90s. By the beginning of next season the Astros could have three TOR prospects ready for the majors in Brown, Whitley, and Melendez.
  15. Imagine how poor off the military would be if it wasn't one of the only avenues available for regular young people to discharge the insane debt loads that are practically required of them in order to compete in the labor market.
  16. Maybe a silver lining of across the board institutional failure is that our military is becoming more and more hollowed out. https://www.nbcnews.com/news/military/every-branch-us-military-struggling-meet-2022-recruiting-goals-officia-rcna35078
  17. Sounds like WV v. EPA is coming down tomorrow? As horrible as Dobbs is, I think that's the case that pretty much ends this country's ability to compete globally and all but resigns our future to the third world. An admin with a spine would ignore the ruling and bring this thing to a head now, but we all know that's not going to happen.
