  1. IIRC, some had salad bars and others didn't. You had to choose your Grandy's experience strategically.
  2. Old-timers like me know the best salad bar was at Grandy's. Could feast for days on that thing for only a few bucks.
  3. So what does that mean numbers-wise for Texas?
  4. I don't think Saban has short-term or long-term fears about aggy at all, even with someone like Meyer or Dabo coaching. But let's be real--a high caliber coach is not going to take the aggy job.
  5. Stupid kids fucking up just before Daddy comes home. You hate to see it.
  6. From where I'll have to get up at 0900 tomorrow: TEXAS!
  7. https://slate.com/culture/2021/09/justin-tucker-66-yard-field-goal-woohoo.html?via=rss "Justin Tucker’s record-setting, game-winning field goal was one of the greatest plays in NFL history." "Tucker’s kick marked the first time the record has increased by more than a single yard since Dempsey broke the previous record, set by Bert Rechichar of the Baltimore Colts in 1953, by seven yards." "Plus, Tucker’s kick was aesthetically unforgettable. To get to the goalposts—66 yards is very far away—longer kicks need more line drive than loft; the holder usually tips the ball farther forward than normal, resulting in a lower trajectory. Tucker’s kick, though, had plenty of arc, so it plopped onto the crossbar and ricocheted straight up. It was reminiscent of Kawhi Leonard’s Game 7 buzzer-beater for the Toronto Raptors in the 2019 NBA playoffs, which, like Tucker’s kick, soared high, bounced high, and landed in the right place. There’s nothing like a doink—or a Double Doink. But a doink to win a game and set an all-time record? Amazing." https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/32286586/baltimore-ravens-tucker-wins-game-detroit-lions-record-66-yard-fg "There have been only seven go-ahead field goals of 60-plus yards in the final minute in NFL history, and Tucker is the only kicker with multiple ones, according to the Elias Sports Bureau. Both have come at Ford Field for Tucker." https://www.nfl.com/news/ravens-kicker-justin-tucker-nfl-record-66-yard-field-goal-lions "Tucker's 66-yard field goal was his fourth of the day (39, 50, 32). All in all, he accounted for 13 of Baltimore's 19 points." "Tucker is considered the best kicker of his era and perhaps the most talented placekicker of all time, and his greatest in-game achievement, of what is now almost assuredly a Hall of Fame career, may very well be Sunday's historic kick."
  8. There’s at least one every cycle who makes multiple obviously bad decisions.
  9. I’m no theologian, but that sounds a little wrong. Methodists dance.
  10. That Connor was underrated by the services. He's smart, played tight end until he grew too much, and by all reports has good feet and a nasty disposition. He's a multi-year starter, can play four positions, and is a candidate to leave early if he's not completely invested in astrophysics. Plus, he likes BBQ.
  11. Yeah, we just beat a Top-25 team and never let them get comfortable in any phase of the game while we were at ease and deliberate, dictating the flow of the game. Not a whiff of desperation or uncertainty anywhere. This looked like the first game of a good team with good coaching that will continually get better and more confident mentally which will lead to the team getting better physically. If it plays out like we think and hope, we’ll have a feedback loop of competence and winning. Hook ‘em!
  12. From SeaTac waiting on a delayed plane. TEXAS!
  13. No need. PK inferred it all after watching the first half of their spring game.
  14. Dang handicappers not only get the best parking spots but good seats too? Man, they're lucky.
  15. Emoni Bates to Penny and Memphis. What the hell is the new guy doing?
