  1. Ana is the ESPN reporter rationalizing the Doncic trade from a basketball perspective citing Luka’s weight and Mavs improved defense. Meanwhile, a close friend of mine cant help doctors out because our census data has been taken off the internet. Not normal.
  2. Property tax relief hasnt happened in 30 years. Why? Because property values keep ascending, aided in part by the stimulus of lower property taxes. We would get property tax relief if we raised property tax rates while increasing homeowners exemptions. For residential dwellings, families are fighting a losing battle with global investors. One way to tilt it a bit for homeowners is nail investors. Perhaps add landlord exemptions for longterm leases to residents.
  3. Ah “Cotton is King”. Its an oldie but a goodie if you make shit up
  4. Spurs fan/Lakers hater here: AD is really good, but hes a number 2. Hes the guy that spreads the court, plays good defense, gets rebounds, etc. Hes a legit all star and hall of famer. Luka scared the shit out of me. He can beat anyone. Great defense on him. Fuck you, circus shot off one leg. Now that hes a Laker, im apoplectic. Hes a better James Harden.
  5. I liked Buechele but hes not better than Applewhite who was voted the best offensive player in the conference one year. Injuries hampered both players. Hel Id take David Ash over him.
  6. Surly posters exempted of course
  7. Shane was another QB whose talent was mitigated by injuries and bad coaching. When he got planted at Cal he was never the same here.
  8. Thread title change suggestion: Gladiator II: Are You Not Semi-Entertained!
  9. September Quinn was pretty damn good. Wed have 1-2 championships he was sharp out of the gate. Outside of that, I’d take Shane Buechele.
  10. My mother in law
  11. Hes a beast. Both him and Smith make a mockery of the NFLs capricious rules against 19-20 years olds
  12. I know him from the handjob story
  13. The episodes he directed of Twin Peaks were amazing. His best work and cemented his legacy. Ive teared up rewatching it recently. The episodes he didnt write or direct were directionless. They didnt know what to do with it after awhile. Networks. Im not into his movies asmuch. I hope to catch those in the theater so I can be immersed.
  14. The lazy route analysis seems relevant. As was the importance of a strong running game to take teams out the two safety look. Sadly, some of that reminded me of Sark’s struggles.
  15. If Jayden Daniels lasts beyond three years in Washington, he’ll be the first QB to do that there since Joe Theisman. He was born in 1949. Look at the Browns. The Texans best QB of all-time is a debate between Matt Schaub and Diddy Watson.
  16. If you dont test then itll go away
  17. I think Sark made the right decision at the time. But Ewers really needed a more lethal run game and better power game to complement his abilities. But, this offense was really average towards the end. A lot of that was the underperforming run game. Arch could have helped defenses be more honest with his deep ball and athleticism. Or, he could have been obliterated like we saw him vs Georgia and Ohio St in limited action. It kind of goes back to the Major/Simms debate. Mack leaned Simms because he could get it to our high powered receiving corps. But in 2001, we landed Cedric Benson. With Major, he could pick apart defenses that were keying in on the run game. Without a good run game, Major was more limited.
  18. Definitely underwhelmed by the WR unit as a whole after a promising start. As for tight end, we need to get one. While Helm and JT Sanders were big bodies and great receivers, they werent a plus in blocking. Can we get a real tight end please? Someone who can put people on their ass and catch the ball?
  19. Theres a non-zero chance Cowboys hire Deion and his son Shadeur holds out for two years and becomes a free agent and/or threatens to hold out to force a trade to the Cowboys.
  20. Dianes character was a beating. The show was great in its own way with Kirstie and Woody. The flaming viking was great.
  21. Theres a massive gap between Markie Post and Madelyn Smith over Bebe Neuwirth. Prime Kirstie Alley would be hard to overlook. https://ew.com/article/1993/05/14/cheers-farewell-sams-ladies/ Then you got Kirk Camerons wife Chelsea Noble. Thats just the named actresses. With that being said, Lilith kept it tight for decades. I understand your perspective.
  22. That 2nd down play was over before it started.
  23. In 2018, he set a record for 308 passes without an interception. His progression from 2017 where he derped to 2018 was impressive. In 2017, he was the leading rusher on the team. 2018 he was surrounded by serious talent, with Humphrey, Johnson, and a young Duvernay. He had 16 rushing TDs and was used as a battering ram. The leading rusher that year was a guy named Tre Watson. In 2019, he went toe to toe against Joe Burrow’s LSU squad. As that season progressed, the offense regressed, I think with Collin Johnson and maybe Ingram. injured. His #2 receiver was Brennan Fucking Eagles. Jake Smith didnt pan out. In 2020 covid year, he had 25 TDs to 5 ints. Bijan got 86 total carries. And his two leading receivers were Joshua Moore (who was ahead of his time with gun celebrations) and Brennan Fucking Eagles. I thought Sam got worn down, was a baller, worked with recruiting misses at receiver, and had to overcome bad defense, which was really bad in 2019.
  24. Counterpoint: Todd Orlando And how did those top recruiting classes pan out?
