We ship huge amounts of water in household products needlessly. Adds bulk to shipment so we have massive trailers lugged by diesel tractors getting this stuff to stores. Most of your household products are 95% water. Laundry detergent, dish soap, bleach, shampoo, surface cleaner, on and on could be sold in packets of Kool aid envelopes or a lifesaver candy. I’ve been involved in some startups on this ha failed; consumers love the idea and won’t do it. Until P&G does it it won’t ever happen. And reconsider your Amazon purchases and compare. Amazon has quietly increased prices on things it hates shipping. Like paper towels. Why? Because bricks retail and distribution is more efficient generally than dropship to home. (Another reason to bust up Amazon. Free shipping is a mindfuck). Consider Walmart.com and others as pricing is often cheaper. And if you’re buying your meat and nine pound can of tuna at Costco/Sams head over to the paper/household aisle.
