  1. We were very Missouri like when we started the SEC season 1- 11 We’ve gone 13-2 in the last five SEC series. We also took two of three from FSU, who lives to beat us (in an Aggy-esque way.) it felt good to come back from 5-0 after losing our catcher for the year. Beating Bama is always enjoyable. I was really proud last year that Florida went from one game above .500 to the quarterfinals of Omaha. With all our serious injuries and our 1-11 start, I think I’m even prouder of these guys. If they are 0-2 and barbecue at their tournament that’s fine. Those young men are giving it their all.
  2. It’s like I was drinking. They knocked our starting catcher out for the season and fractured his wrist. One of our best batters and our goddamn field general and pitcher whisperer. Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck
  3. corn dogs haz a sad.
  4. that is a good looking haircut. The smaller bowl was a good choice.
  5. Gata just ended. I just started watching. You are welcome that my saurian Mojo is all in on Texas. fuck these fucks
  6. Jesus. bama knocks our starting pitcher out of the game. Hit batter on his wrist. We have another guy out injured on a fielding injury. Right when we were getting better. we just popped the third Bama batter out after fanning the first two to beat the tide 7-6. so I got that working for me, which is nice.
  7. Jesus people, can we get back on track here? I still crack up about the line - working hard in the library with her big brain studying poli-sci.
  8. Clarence it’s probably already working on overturning that one.
  9. Whizzer. I assume that is a golden shower reference..
  10. There is apparently a bit of a dispute about whether the Texas coral is the same species, but generally the Florida coral snake or eastern coral snake has a range that stops at the Mississippi river, and everything west of there would be the Texas Coral snake. i’ve heard that the eastern coral snakes are slightly smaller. Which makes that 36 inch snek all the more impressive
  11. Gorgeous snek! My always frugal father bought a single wide in a wooded trailer park a few miles from campus. (I think he bought it for 5K for my older brother to live in, and when I went to UF, I was the next resident. After I graduated, he sold it for 5K. ) Anyway, when I exited the trailer to bike to campus I was startled to see a 36 inch coral snake lounging in between the spokes of the wheel of my bike. I put him in an ice chest until I returned from class. I gave him to a friend who had a python, who traded it to a serpentarium (for venom extraction) for a whole bunch of rodents for his python. That was as big a coral snake as I’ve ever seen. Just beautiful.
  12. #team Ferrari. Classic lines weird lips. Skipped triceps day-would not bang.
  13. it’s the new King Cotton. Look how well that worked out.
  14. Just maybe, as a guy who gets dunked on unnecessarily around here, you should not be dunking unnecessarily on a poster whose opinion was not rude or outlandish, simply one you or I might not agree with.
  15. ?? Do you think the Gators should not get a bid to the tourney? That 1 win in the first 4 SEC series (with many injuries) sucked, but we’ve won every series since then - and have a very low RPI. Because I think that turning it around matters. Late good should always weigh more than early good, IMO. We have the second longest bid streak in the country, as we have appeared in the tournament every year since 2007. Last year we had to beat Georgia to get above .500 to accept a bid. We still made it to the quarterfinal. I’m obviously biased, but I don’t think Florida as a three seed would be the worst travesty ever.
  16. Look on the bright side. In a few more years Austinrrakis will be collecting all that sweet spice mining coin.
  17. This. it is astounded to me whenever a business or firm will allow an employee to leave over essentially a pittance difference in benefits/salary when that employee is the holder of institutional knowledge that is incredibly valuable to the business. I really love the movie Margin Call. The one guy in the organization who figured out that they have a huge problem with mortgage securities (that’s about to take out the whole company when folks figure out they have little value) was let go on some stupid cost cutting move. Without giving away the movie, as he’s literally being walked out the door he gives a heads up to his subordinate to look into the issue. The shorter version of the movie would have been if he did not do that - and a month or so later the whole damn firm goes under and loses everything. But, yeah, let’s save some money and fire the older guy or gal who knows a bunch of shit and hire the cheap know-nothing college grad.
