Fuck off Arthur Smith
Eh. It was a chickenshit move by the Saints, though I understand it was the players on the field (and not the NO coaches) who made the decision to run a play rather than taking a knee. I don't think I'd be too happy if an opponent pulled something like that. You wanna just run a regular play? Fine -- it's up to me to stop you and I won't bitch at all if you end up scoring. But if you go into victory formation, you better be taking a knee, not trying to score. The next time New Orleans runs victory at the end of a game, they'd better be on the lookout for the defense crashing the line hard, because the opponent will justifiably point to today's game and say, "We can't be sure New Orleans will actually take a knee in that situation after they pulled that bullshit on Atlanta."
That said, Smith is probably gone and he did a shitty job this season, so my guess is that his frustration probably stemmed at least in part from knowing he's a dead man walking and not just the Saints' shenanigans. And he misused Bijan. (And maybe that's what you were referring to.)

Not sure if it has already been mentioned but Full Metal Jacket took a pretty dramatic turn mid movie
Saw thread title and was going to post the same thing.

Also a huge fan of the Cadet, hard to believe anything useful could be slimmer. I am rather a fan of the nail file, which also makes a passable phillips-head.
While the Cadet still rocks, that little Bantam is definitely useful and even slimmer. But if you like the nail file component and use it occasionally, you may want to just stick with the Cadet. I seldom use the nail file thingy.

I do not play guitar, so I have no idea if this solo (starting at 1:12) is technically difficult. All I know is that I love it -- it's packed with emotion and feeling.

So . . . I'm a big fan of the Victorinox Swiss Army Cadet in alox. (Frankly, I'm a fan of just about any Victorinox SAK, but I loooooove the Cadet.) It's so well made and packs so much utility into a small, tidy package. I have three because a couple times I thought I had lost one, so I ordered another and then the original re-appeared later. It's a great knife to slip into a suit pocket or have at the office when you don't want to freak co-workers out if you need a blade for some reason.
For Xmas, someone gave me a Victorinox Bantam in alox as a kind of stocking stuffer, and this thing is even sweeter than the Cadet. It's even slimmer and has just about the same amount of utility. It drops the nail file/nail cleaner tool (which I barely use anyway) and combines the can opener/bottle opener tools into one. Just a fantastic piece of equipment for only a little over $20.

I don't blame X for not making the recovery. He dropped down almost directly on the ball once he saw it was at his feet and the two UW defenders hadn't made a clean recovery. The problem was the third UW defender (the one who actually ended up making the recovery) was able to come in from the side. As a result, that third defender had leverage on the ball and was able to pull it away from everyone else, including Worthy.

Interesting thread. It's unfortunate that some bad shit has touched the lives of so many who post on this board.
I never knew him, but my great-grandfather was murdered by a hired killer in a land feud in Kentucky in 1903 -- real "Hatfields and McCoys"-type shit.
When I was a kid, my mom bought a pair of boots for me at a garage sale. The boots were relatively old but still in good shape, and they fit fine. I found out later that the kid who had originally owned the boots had, after becoming a teenager, killed one of his parents some years before and was incarcerated at the time. I have no idea what his name was or when the killing occurred. But I do recall getting all ragey inside whenever I put those boots on . . .

Pretty fucking lame onside attempt

Mitchell's biggest problem is that he doesn't give 100% every play. In fact, he doesn't give sustained effort on most plays.

Has Crawford played any?
Yes

Blackwell apparently can't diagnose.
Washington watched the OU game tape & saw Gabriel kill us with designed runs, & Kwiatkowski can't adjust.

Another obvious hold missed

Learn to get rid of the ball after you scramble outside of the pocket, son.

Was thinking that, Founders Ale House on Pico, or 3rd Stop on 3rd.
Founders is legit too. Unfamiliar with 3rd Stop. Expect a crowd wherever you go

No, Herbie, that WAS a bad snap

Alright—about time to head out to find a bar here in West Hollywood. I saw the boy march this morning in the Tournament of Roses Parade and got plenty of comments on my Longhorns sweater—quick observation: the Tournament of Roses people all speak very fondly of Texas’s trips out here.
But fun time is over—time to get down to business. Fuck Washington. And while we’re at it, fuck Alabama and fuck Michigan, too.

You can bitch about the state of college football now all you want but the Rose Bowl on NYD is fucking glorious.
Yep. Glad the weather cooperated & it's a bright, sunny day out here. A few days ago, there was a chance of rain in the forecast for today.

Fuck all this "don't say/write aggy" bullshit. That's what they are. It is their essence. They are so . . . aggy.

Can UW limit the Michigan ground attack? If not, Michigan wins. I think it's as simple as that. A rolling Michigan ground game opens up play action for McCarthy and keeps Penix on the sideline.
Will be pulling for UW despite the Sugar Bowl result. I don't like cheaters.
