  1. I used to love going in there where you could buy the same stuff the players wore. I think he supplied the University before days of Nike et al.

Oh, the hours I spent as a kid staring at that cover of my parents copy.
  3. Not a guitar but other stuff. Shipping is usually high. You don’t pay VAT but depending on how the shipper lists the value you could pay customs. It’s figured off of what you pay for the item. Most of the time it is not an issue.

  6. I love every track that Gretsch is on. I still have trouble watching the end of this video.
  7. I would like to buy one of the white baseball hats with the orange bill but the Coop hasn't restocked in a year and no one else sells one.
  8. I have such a disease. After deciding to sell my SG Classic and one of my Tele's because I just had too many guitars, what did I do? Bought another one. I was looking for a small cheap parlor guitar to practice with on the couch and use for travel and found a Recording King. Before you laugh, it is a cheap Chinese made acoustic but...it has a solid spruce top, bone nut and saddle and while it does not sound like the Martin 0 sized guitar I played that made me want one, it does sound pretty good for $150. I hate it when people try to suggest that a cheap guitar sounds as good as more expensive ones but for what I wanted it for, it sounds pretty good. Here is a video of a guy playing the same one I bought.
  9. I think Trump will end up giving up anything to be able to say he made a deal. He does not care about the details, just the marketing of it.
  10. It's a good record show. If you don't mind digging I think you would be pleased. Lots of good deals but they are usually at the tables who have records in random order in their boxes. Good mixture of rare and solid collection stuff.
  11. Go back to Strait. Walk in. Turn to the left and go upstairs. Ignore the signs saying you have to be accompanied. Or if you feel better about it, tell the guy up front you want to see Lauren. Once you make it upstairs turn to the left and first door on right is where Lauren is. She will take your guitar there. She and Jess work there exclusively. She has never taken more than a week for a set up even when she was doing emergency work during SXSW.
  12. If we had an offensive line and at least an average running back, Shane in my opinion would really do well given his skill set. However, Shane is not suited to take off running for his life like the line has required the last couple of years. In absence of an offensive line and a running game, Ehlinger is probably a better option given his ability to run. Sam's confidence does not meet his ability level. With a O-line that is going to break down Sam's running probably puts him ahead but if they use him as their primary running game again, he is going to get knocked out of games. I would take Shane's passing accuracy any day if we could protect him.
  13. Yeah, the Fender app has a lot of alternative tunings. I use open G a lot so it comes in handy.
  14. You know, all the batterie eventually died in all the Snarks I have floating around and I've never replaced them. I have a great pedal ahead of my amp I go by for my electrics, and the Guitar Tuna app on my phone I use for my acoustics. I used to use Guitar Tuna but replaced it with the new Fender Tune app. It seems to work out better for me.
  15. Fuck Mack. He was not a good coach. He did recruit some good players but as far as X’s and O’s he was terrible. A good personality but not a good coach. Plus he was a bitch ass whiner.
  16. I can't get pic posting to work but I got a used Martin MMV this week. I know it is a GC exclusive but I am really happy with it. Solid spruce top and rosewood back and sides. Ebony fretboard. I don't have a lot of Martin experience and I am sure the more expensive versions sound amazing but I am really happy with it. I know most people start on acoustic and move to electric. I did the opposite and think I missed out on training my right hand.
  17. Do we still need someone to go out and make a stupid guitar purchase?
