  1. I've looked at a 6 different websites listing NO companies. I just don't see the demand to rank it 12th on the list. Here's a list of top NO workplaces. It's from 2019 but I wouldn't expect the list to change that much. https://www.nola.com/news/business/top-workplaces-new-orleans-areas-55-best-employers-for-2019/article_e0301e00-c5e3-11e9-8b07-3323be041557.html TOP WORK PLACES 2019 LARGE COMPANIES RANK, COMPANY 1 Harrah’s New Orleans Casino & Hotel 2 Laitram 3 Dow Chemical Co. 4 Creole Cuisine Restaurant Concepts 5 Entergy Corp. 6 Ochsner Health System 7 Tulane Health System 8 Jefferson Parish MID-SIZE COMPANIES RANK, COMPANY 1 RaceTrac Petroleum 2 ASI Federal Credit Union 3 Edward Jones 4 Gallo Mechanical 5 1st Lake Properties 6 Oceana Grill 7 Avala 8 Rotolo Consultants Inc. 9 Taste Buds Management 10 Belle Chasse Academy 11 City of Covington 12 Christopher Homes Inc. 13 St. Tammany Clerk of Court 14 Ampirical Solutions 15 Globalstar Inc. 16 Northshore Technical Community College 17 HUB International Gulf South 18 Netchex 19 Crescent City Schools 20 Lucid 21 Ernest N. 2. If Black signs with aggy, in spite of the train wreck, then he's a bigger fucking idiot than your average teenager. Either that or he has family who desperately need money now.
  3. To be fair, 3 hours outside of Austin would put you in Houston or Dallas. Austinites know to stay the fuck away from those uneducated shitholes.
  4. Anyone who has/had teenagers who how fickle and unreliable those idiots are. I'm actually surprised the number of decommits every year is as low as it is. And anyone trying to hold someone else accountable to predictions of where a teenager is actually going to sign to is also an idiot.
  5. To me, New Orleans being 14 is the biggest surprise. What industry and companies are there which would entice and employ so many college degreed people?
  6. Surprising since... Pasadena : Houston Garland : Dallas
  7. They didn't crack the top 100. Even El Paso, Garland (yes that fucking Garland), and Laredo did. Maybe Forbes doesn't consider an aggy diploma as credible.
  8. I guess some kids just want to stay close to home. If Mizzou is selling a compelling story and package, it makes the decision easier. Good luck to the kid.
  9. Notable surprises 12. Boise 14. New Orleans 27. Anchorage 32. Albuquerque 42. Lubbock
  10. The largest returns I've made are from selling my previous homes. If you are renting, you are just enabling another shithead to increase his returns when he sells the property.
  11. Posted on the "WTFIWWY, Austin" thread but thought it needed it's thread so we can make fun of Houston and Dallas. Austin ranked the 4th most educated city in America. https://www.forbes.com/advisor/education/most-educated-cities/ MISSING: summary MISSING: current-rows. Geographic Area Name 18+ H.S. 12. Edit: This probably deserves its own thread. In the rare What is RIGHT with you Austin category... 13. It's complicated because rich assholes want loopholes to get around paying taxes. It shouldn't be that hard.
  14. I'll take THINGS WHICH ARE NEVER EVER FUCKING GOING TO HAPPEN for $1000, Alex.
  15. Our state leadership doesn't "do" anything for it's constituents unless there's a company or a group of companies which can make assloads of money from it and there are sizable donations to those elected officials from those companies.
  16. Vermont is what happens when a state's elected officials aren't whores to O&G companies.
  17. Realtors will tell you otherwise. Prices are falling, houses are sitting much, much longer on the market. Some of it is interest rates, some of it is a surplus in supply. There are a shitton of new construction homes in Brentwood and Crestview which have been sitting unsold for a couple of months.
  18. No way Weigman comes back to play for that program. He'll get killed. Johnson got spanked raw today. They are spending all the fucking money buying D linemen but don't give a shit about O linemen.
  19. It's funny that we have to dance around topics of assholes with probable ties to politicians for fear of offending blind team politics idiots. Hey, don't point out that my politician and his friends are assholes! You hurt my feelings!
  20. I think it's easily possible that aggy spends over $300M to fire Jimbo, his staff, and hire new staff. I think it's funny to think about but I highly doubt they have the money secured to pull the trigger now.
