  1. Visited Bainbridge back in late September. Beautiful place. It was raining.
  2. You think he actually walked out of a meeting in the morning, and into the AD's office after his lunch break and said F-it, I'm done?
  3. All these cheeky quips about missing bolts are funny and all, but I’m really interested to hear the root cause failure in this deal. Like mentioned above, the plugs are a commonly installed item and it’s not likely that the design has changed in decades so it’s unlikely a design flaw. Properly torqued bolts at 100 ft-lbs and improperly torqued bolts at 85 ft-lbs you likely won’t have any issues either, even though the under torqued bolts are “loose”. So back to assembly procedures and oversight by someone, company/contractor division of responsibility, etc. If my subcontractor screws something up in my product it’s still my fault for lack of oversight.
  4. There was an old saying on one of the bike forums: "If you NEED carbon wheels, someone will give them to you."
  5. From a practical standpoint can Alaska Airlines bolt in a new door and put that hull back in service?
  6. Shocking, I know: https://www.nbcnews.com/science/space/nasa-delays-artemis-moon-missions-rcna133126 I just have a feeling that this whole program will never quite happen.
  7. Anybody that was inside the building potentially has some ear issues, as the pressure wave from the explosion would have been pretty large.
  8. I LOL'd when I opened the Food & Travel page, and saw the thread title at the top of the list. Wrong, I know.
  9. Zappos IMO. Free returns. The last pair of shoes I bought where I actually went to the store was Red Wing hunting boots.
  10. 6 SEC.
  11. These days, I buy shoes, try them on, and return them if they don't fit, I don't like them, etc. There's no such thing as a shoe store anymore, other than Academy or the like.
  12. Epic stories fellas. Keep going.
  13. I’m a Ti guy. I like welded pipes. And infinite fatigue life, and no corrosion. Never ridden a carbon bike.
  14. Hard to throw those things away I guess. I have a currently functional rig in my garage - an F2 board I bought in probably 1993 or 94, along with various newer components. Newest is a sail I bought to replace the one I put my knee through in summer of 2020, the last time I sailed. So I have a brand new $800 sail that has never been unrolled laying on the shelf in my garage gathering dust.
  15. A bunch of my group ride Canyons and they love them. There's a standing joke that "we got another Canyon guy". I expect that 105 carbon bike is a great entry level nice bike.
  16. Looks like an old Mistral windsurfing board on the wall there.

    Colonoscopy

Correct. The earlier you start a liquid diet the better for the cleanse.
  18. This is the answer. If it's trivial trash in the floorboard, it's a little passive aggressive to just keep pointing it out. Just get rid of it and don't make a deal out of it.
  19. A thought that I had is to ride the neighborhood walking trails while walking the dog. My knees aren’t as good as they used to be and bother me after a walk. Wonder if I could make that work with a longboard?
  20. I think most everyone agrees that the team exceeded expectations for the season. Nevertheless, it was hard to see the team outplayed really for the first time this season.
