  1. He basically works for them. They are standing en masse to wave a towel overhead as their employee processes up a hotel meeting room aisle before giving them 20 minutes of platitudes.
  2. SEC and B1G don't need to rush into project Rudy. They don't need to give up equity for whatever startup capital they need for a new enterprise. Prestige Worldwide is already here in its infantile form, and there will almost certainly be at least one more significant development. There is a 12-team playoff that every serious expert expects to be at least 50% populated by just 2 conferences going forward. If those two conferences don't work out a deal that reasonably maximizes outcomes for their combined "big boys," expect the informal and off-the-record conversations among said big boys to heat up. Notre Dame is a great master of the cabal because it has no football conference meeting rules and virtually no reporting requirements of conversations.

  4. Bat your teammate's head Screwdriver against a girl Smash a girl's head in
  5. Am I the only one who thinks those who write for a living should demonstrate an understanding of the difference between core and corps? Text messages and bulletin board posts are one thing, but paid and published content shouldn't appear to have been written by Aggies.
  6. Tying payouts to future ratings has a logic. Are you saying, though, that tier status would be ratings-based rather than on-the-field: i.e., would Tech for example have not only to be a dominant team but to average in the top 16 for viewership to get top 16 money? This is a deal that absolutely depends on the participation of a large percentage of the blue-bloods. It will work just fine without any given 10 of the "second 32." The 2nd 32 are in no danger of making less in the new agreement than they do now. The blue bloods could theoretically make less if relegated. Notre Dame is unlikely to sign onto an agreement that says UCF may be two tiers above them in prestige, exposure, and money based on how things turn out. If UCF doesn't like it, they can organize a league of teams that think the old-school big-draw teams are greedy. That league would pay out a tiny fraction of the third-tier shares for agreeing to pamper the guys whose current value creates the opportunity for the league. If this league happens, it will be because Texas, ND, Michigan, tOSU, USC, etc want it. They will then agree to terms that permit other teams to play along. The teams that want to play along will have the chance to move up and down. But the guys whose league it really is are not going to want to move down. Telling the senior partners of a newly forming enterprise that they should consider allowing themselves to become junior is not how the world works.
  7. I have a new program, sort of a medical charity. We will be relocating children from rural Texas who are orphaned, have severe emotional disturbance, and have at most an IQ of 78.3. The new homes will be in Tulsa, OKC, and Norman. When the. project is complete, the estimated effect will be a mean IQ increase of at least 0.07 for both Texas and Oklahoma.
  8. I don't think the question is about injury or W/L records. Increasingly, the name of the game is money. So the question is, is there the potential for money from a late April, e.g., game between Alabama and Oregon? Played in Texas to help both teams' recruiting?
  9. In all seriousness, how long will it be before we see something like a one-off "exhibition" inter-squad spring matchup once the NCAA loses its last vestiges of control over Prestige WorldWide Football?
  10. Reduced to misdemeanor because he wasn't in his right mind: it was a "high" crime.
  11. And recovering fumbles is a less repeatable statistic, generally.
  12. Otherwise generally rational people fight wars over their middle-eastern geopolitical stances. Surprise or outrage that some degree of those same considerations might have affected the decision not to retain an expensive and unsuccessful employee would seem a bit fatuous. I doubt we'll ever get to know what really motivated the Johnsons, if they truly even know themselves. They were willing to hire the first openly Muslim HC in the NFL. The downside for them is that means he has to succeed, quit, die, or else they have to fire the first openly Muslim HC in the NFL. And now he's fired. To the credit of all involved (not counting, obviously, the self-inserting public outrage movement), I have not read anything unbecoming in their public statements.
  13. It is a business deal. The permanent 8 would be the ones whose presence makes the deal worth what it is. 10 years of bad Michigan or bad Texas football draws more eyeballs than do 10 years of success at NMSU. If you want Notre Dame, Michigan, USC, and Texas to volunteer to be subject to relegation, you may not be 100% rational.
  14. Yes. Quinn showed us that he gets this now, I think.
  15. That was indeed my problem. Thanks for that prompt and helpful reply.
  16. This is a big deal. No NLI. No signing day. B10 and SEC will be able to keep over 3000 CFB players on scholarship between them. Texas better have a lot of brain power and manpower allocated to recruiting 24/7/365, and that includes recruiting the guys already in orange.
  17. Good news for Washington, I guess.
  18. I have been watching games through the Hulu app on my AppleTV connected to an actual TV. I have signed up for a subscription to YTTV. I am able to see the expected channels on my laptop when I log in to YouTube. When I launch the YouTube app (even after re-loading it) on either the AppleTV or directly on the TV, I do not see YouTube TV as a choice in my app. I have double-checked that I am logged in with the same gmail account as on the laptop. I would love help troubleshooting this, please.

  21. Agree. The other post-UGA opponents have sleepers or bye ahead of us, but Florida is not going to focus too much extra on us.
