  1. First time I've really watched SA this season. I really like their roster going forward. Wemby, Fox, and Castle are a very good core and then you add in all the draft picks. Sochan is good as well. (Maybe he's the core, maybe he's not.) Their long term upside if higher than Houston, quite frankly. Wemby and Fox would both be the best players on Houston's roster. Over the next five years or so, the West looks like it'll be OKC, SA, LAL, and maybe Houston. Denver will putter out in a few years and Dallas has maybe 2 years at best. Anyway, really like SA's future.
  2. The Beal trade fucked them and everyone except Durant could see it coming. They should have just told him no.
  3. Aren't these the same people that want to secede from Oregon altogether? Maybe they should just pull themselves up their bootstraps.
  4. The fact that he hit the open market and his best offer was a bad Auburn team with a HC about to be fired says a lot. If he were good, any number of good teams would have offered.
  5. If Biden was having joint interviews with Soros where Soros did all the talking, certain people's heads would explode.
  6. He's the Bad Guy in Unforgiven. Sure, William Munny is the real bad guy but you're rooting for him. He originally turned the role down because he was a pacifist and thought the movie would glorify violence. Eastwood explained to him that one of the themes was a critique of violence in American culture.
  7. This. It also showed his range as a comedic actor. The cast for Birdcage was insane. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0115685/fullcredits/?ref_=tt_cst_sm
  8. Don't worry, Sean. The "genocide" will be over this time next year, if you know what I'm saying....
  9. Agree. People may not like to hear it but when/if AD is healthy, Dallas might have the best roster in the West or at least the most threatening to the Thunder. (Yes, that's a big "if." It's like saying "if" I was married to Scarlett Johansson then my wife would be hotter than yours.) Just awful long term, though, and to your point, "long term" means 2-3 years.
  10. Everyone bagged on the Clippers for not giving him that 4th year but who is laughing now? He's still a solid player but it's obvious he's hit the age wall. In 2028, he'll be making $56M. Ugh.
  11. I don't know if this is really but let's all pretend it is:
  12. Paul George isn't even the worst contract on his own team and that's saying something because his contract is awful.
  13. How so? The reason I ask is that my father in law recently died of fatty liver disease. He was never a drinker but had a lifetime of eating shitty southern food. Fuck of a way to go, too. Anyway, he was on the transplant list but too old (78). What made the stories unpleasant? Did the surgeries go badly?
  14. There aren't any jobs in West Virginia. How about they fucking move to where the jobs are?
  15. Elon not just speaking but holding court at Trump's cabinet meeting. Press is just bypassing Trump, who hasn't said anything in like five minutes. This is embarassing.
  16. Their real weakness is outside of SGA, they really don't have any shot creators. Jalen Williams sort of but he seems to come up short when they REALLY need something. They also don't have any great shooters but a lot of good ones and as a result, they can go long stretches where the offense just stalls. They've never gone multiple games where that happened, though. They've only played Chetenstein just a few games, though.
  17. I don't know who is worse off going forward. Phoenix is a little better, I guess. They can still get something for Durant (not much really) and build around Booker going forward. (They've wasted his career.) No one wants Beal so they're stuck there. No draft picks to speak of unless they can get some for Durant. No one wants either PG or Embid. Good Lord those are bad contracts. Maxey is good so there's that.
  18. Had the game last night run into OT, they might gave played two games on the same calendar day. Not sure if that's ever happened before. They're definitely within the 24 window. Both teams took buses to the Minny airport and got on their planes. Minny took off and landed 5 minutes before OKC. Screws over both teams equally so it's a push. Also, these guys are pro athletes in their mid 20's. Deal with it.
