  1. When I said no citations I mainly meant alcohol/weed related. These days you could be passed out in a bush and if they saw you, they’d just help you back to your dorm. Kinda crazy that some students would prefer APD handling the campus
  2. Sorry to derail. If y’all thought the players asked for a lot, you should’ve seen the general student body’s petition. It was about 3 times as long and included everything the players asked for. It asked for UTPD to be abolished (you know, the guys who don’t give out any citations but are just there to provide safety). UTPD doesn’t even stop kids for underage drinking or open containers. And it asked to get rid of standardized testing, which is outrageous for reasons already mentioned.
  3. Well we should at least be able to field 11 players that already have antibodies by week 1.
  4. OU WR Jadon Haselwood has a torn ACL per their 247 board. May or may not miss the season depending on when it happens
  5. Greg’s more of a wing than a big man. He’ll be 1 and done but won’t be minima contributor like our last few 5 star centers
  6. Jaydon Williams committing May 1st per his Twitter
  7. From a current student: Spring break (this week) got extended an extra week, so at the earliest that spring ball could start is March 30th. Everything else is speculation, but teachers have been telling students to prepare for campus to be closed for the remainder of the semester and for classes to be moved online. This all came before yesterday. For those that don’t know, Fenves’ wife tested positive COVID yesterday, meaning that multiple UT staffers will have it. TLDR, no one knows what the future holds, but it would not be a shock to see spring ball get outright cancled
  8. I’m a packers fan stopping in to see if there’s been any news because I’m hoping y’all hire Riley for the job. Y’all can do much better than Mike McCarthy. He’s not a great coach but he’s not the worst. I place equal blame on him and our former GM Ted Thompson for wasting Rodger’s prime. Thompson had a bizarre philosophy where we would never sign free agents but would often let our best players walk in free agency instead of paying them. A roster with minimal talent other than Rodgers and coaching ineptitude (someone already sited the NFC championship game against Seattle) made for some painful years.
  9. This was from the rivals camp. Things seem to have brightened up since then.
  10. Has anyone confirmed if he's been released from his LOI and does that even matter at this point since he started classes? I know he'll need the NCAA to grant him the ability to play this season.
  11. Take this as you will, EJ said in a thread that this relates to something he recently started covering. He recently started covering grad transfer recruiting so there’s that.
  12. Negative, two African American males and one female. They’re looking away from me, but I’m praying it’s not Giles.
  13. I’m at the pluckers on campus, and Zach Evans, Damien George, and Hudson Card are eating at the booth next to me. They’re with 3 adults, I don’t recognize any of them.
  14. True. Another thought I’m having, this picture does not feature the secret visitor. Would our staff and commits really be stupid enough to take a picture with the player and make all their dimensions well known when they want this under wraps? Hopefully not. Maybe that’s just a stand in player we already have committed, while the secret visitor is a 6’3 DT named Leal standing behind the camera. More speculation, our staff seems to be content with all the shit happening at WR right now, so maybe it’s Wright or Wilson?
  15. Shot in the dark here, maybe it’s Chris Steele. Height, skin tone, arm size, and lack of tattoos all matchup. He recently had a few cloudy crystal ball picks put in. The only holes in this theory are that he already used all 5 OVs I think, and his 247 page indicates he’s announcing at an All American game, not Wednesday. But it’s possible he’s moved up his time frame and this is an UOV.
  16. As a recent high school student and current longhorn, that reputation is still alive and well. The only people excited to get into A&M were those who had no shot at UT or were legacies and only applied to aggy. I had plenty of close friends either not get in at all or not get McCombs or Cockrell so they decided to go to A&M. I don’t know a single person who picked aggy over UT unless scholarship money swayed them. The day UT decisions were coming out was one of the most intense days I’ve ever seen in high school. In class, my teacher stopped teaching because she realized all her students were on their phone or laptop spamming the refresh button. Then a mix of chears and sobbing over took the room and she decided to end class early. But no one gave two shits when they got their a&m decision. I still have friends trying to transfer into UT from college all across the state. I don’t know a person trying to leave Austin.
  17. Didn’t see it posted yet, but Will Baker is set to announce on November 8th https://hookemheadlines.com/2018/10/26/texas-basketball-recruiting-2019-c-will-baker-sets-announcement-date/
  18. Did you watch UGA vs UF today? UF stonewalled UGA from within the 1 yard line 7 times. 2 of those were penalties, but UF stopped multiple qb sneaks for less than half a yard
  19. SIAP: https://247sports.com/college/oklahoma/Article/Conference-Re-alignment-future-football-Ohio-State-Texas-Oklahoma-Notre-Dame-Alabama-Michigan-SEC-Pac-12-Big-10-ACC--118642101/ Things could get interesting if tech giants get involved and start throwing around rediculous sums of money. It’d be hard for them to poach Long time SEC, Big 10 and ACC schools. But if the big 12 and pac 12 keep struggling, I’d be interested to see if amazon could pull off merging the powers of the two conferences. That’d leave the bottom feeders of the conferences to get picked up by the other three power 5 conferences, the mountain west, and the AAC. If there is a shift towards 4 super conferences, I think Notre Dame would abandon their independence. If they go 11-1 this season and don’t make the playoff (which I expect), it’ll be hard for them to justify independence in the playoff era.
  20. I understand that argument then. I could either show up early and wait 4 hours in the sun painfully sober. Or watch the early games and have extra drinking time and accept the marginally worse seats.
