  1. Definitely not deep enough on offensive side, but I do think Conner, Alexis, Davis, and Brooks are solid evals. We really struck out at QB and OT.
  2. No idea honestly. I guess if we look back to guys that Texas has targeted recently and/or talked to pretty consistently through the process. If I say Alton McCaskill can I speak it into existence? :: Ikechukwu Iwunnah David Abiara (ughhh) Erick Cade Keithron Lee extra no idea list :: Byron Young the JUCO OLB/WDE - did he sign anywhere yet? Quay Davis? No idea what the hell to even think here. I'd say with the insane numbers that have hit the portal in just the past 8-10 days that you'll likely see guys from there.
  3. What position does Surly think Juan Davis ends up playing. (He looks like he might be a defensive player??)
  4. Now that Gus is out, can we go try and snag this kid -- https://247sports.com/player/dematrius-davis-46042948/ Put him on the field somewhere, kid just flat out wins
  5. Lmao, well that makes the Quay situation seem quaint. This class is a mess. He was our second highest rated commit.
  6. I would trust a coach like Strong to be able to possibly keep a kid like Quay engaged and on campus. Guys like Herman, no way. I was listening to big titty Taylor Estes who said the players hate Tom. After recruiting Bru McCoy, Herman refused to acknowledge him in the hallways when Bru would say hi. She said he would just ignore him and walk by. She also stated when they all flew to California to convince him to stay, Bru simply told Herman he doesn’t want to play for him if he can’t even acknowledge him as a player. I know McCoy is huge flake but it’s also an indictment of what an asshole Herman is.
  7. Quay has the look of a guy who will be in the transfer portal 6 months after signing, but beggars can’t be choosers, so I think I would take a chance on him too. We are not in a position to be picky.
  8. At this point why not take Quay? If we got him, flipped JoJo, and Cain looked elsewhere the offensive side has a better outlook minus the shit job of OL.
  9. Quaydarius Davis has decommitted for the third time https://n.rivals.com/news/rivals100-wr-quay-davis-usc-part-ways
  10. How is Juan Davis not a composite 4 star by now?!?!
  11. If Herman gets let go and UM takes the job, the entire offensive class minus Hayden Conner, Jaden Alexis, and Juan Davis needs to be gutted.
  12. Sad but, it's not like we have some prized offensive recruits. My favorite offensive recruit is Juan Davis who I swear will be the steal of this class. Kid does everything. I'm worried about the defensive side of the ball with this class. We have a solid LB class. I think Ibraheem, Coffey, Sanders, Thomas are going to be hounded, if not already, by a lot of schools once the axe falls.
  13. I wish Quay would get his shit together. It's a shame when you watch so much talent become a head case.
  14. A few tidbits from different folks at 247... “I've been screaming this for the last few months. Texas is going to sign the lowest rated prospect they've offered at each position.“ - Mike Roach Another user posted this in a different thread... When I said this is the worst offensive recruiting at Texas since David McWilliams, I wasn’t joking. Here is a breakdown by position: QB: UT commit is the lowest ranked of 6 offered (ranked 1077) RB: UT commit is the lowest ranked of 7 offered (ranked 479) WR: UT commits ranked 22 and 30th out of 31 offered (ranked 373 and 948) TE: UT commit is the lowest ranked of 9 offered (ranked 646) OT: UT commits ranked 7 and 13 out of 14 offered (ranked 330 and 1059) OG: no commitments out of 5 offers OC: UT commit lowest ranked of 3 offered (ranked 1049) Decommits in this class include: QB Jalen Milroe (ranked 83) WR Quay Davis (ranked 108) TE Lake McCree (ranked 469) TE Landon King (ranked 579) QB Quinn Ewers (ranked 2 - 2022) WR Phaizon Wilson (ranked 245 - 2022)
  15. Per Nahlin's earlier report: Conner has long been a frontman in the class in staying active in group chats and checking in on recruits as a couple newer commits have joined him in staying vocal with the rest of the class. "Charles Wright, he's a stud and a great recruiter," he said. "Derrick Harris, Ja'Tavion [Sanders]. We all text in our group chat and keep up great relationships with everybody." Besides, if it was Sanders, I would think OU would be the choice moreso than aggy. Maybe Ish? A linebacker core of Cooks and Blackwell would be amazing. If Harris can get back healthy, this would be an outstanding group. Thomas and go after Ike and it's a solid DLine--prolly better than we should be able to get. I can't see any linebackers and defensive linemen thinking wow, this defense is regressing. However, if I'm a corner, I may be researching some personnel. I'm good with Johnson and Coffey. Still need 2 true corners. On offense, we have Wright and Conner, please keep Alexis and Davis at all costs. Maybe Cain is reaching out to aggy--just hoping it's none of those already listed.
  16. It better not be Juan Davis.. he's the sleeper of this class.. He's a baller
  17. Offensive Recruits: Wright, Cain, Merril, Helm, Myslinski don't t report an offer from A&M from 247 Jaden Alexis does though 👀 so does Juan Davis depending on how you qualify him as offensive/defensive player I don't think Connor is going to look around at this point. I had almost forgotten how many JAG's we have in this class, especially on offense...
  18. Damn our lone 5 star.. and coming from TFB..he's going to ou ain't he SMDH? I'm gonna lose it if my son Juan Davis decommits next
  19. Get in your black Escalade and race him in his white Escalade down Westlake Dr. Loser legally changes their name to Gerg Davis
  20. I still really like Juan Davis, Blackwell, Ibraheem and Johnson in addition to Sanders in this class.
  21. If you think Herman isn't playing a role with personnel sets, the same way he has since he got here, and seeing that it's being reflected on the field in the same way since he got here, it's you with your head up your ass, golfclap. Yurcich is nothing more than his yes man. We just watched some of the same bad shit in the last two games that we've now been watching for the entire regime. I literally called the first two plays of the Turtle Tom drive on Saturday and anyone paying attention can guess with a fairly high amount of confidence about the likelihood of a limited set of plays at various downs, distances, and moments during the game. He learned from his mentor, Greg Davis, very effectively. So no, I won't blame world events on our own Hermiliation, but I will blame the fucking clown for trotting out the same bullshit behaviors, calls, and personnel choices for yet another year.
  22. yeah they really improved on that 13-1 Rose Bowl championship season I actually agree that Day looks like a tremendous coach and snark aside they DID improve in 2019, but it wasn't like Ohio State had tuned Meyer out or the program was heading for disaster. Meyer's problem was nepotism (of a sort) and staff weakness in two areas, one of which was eliminated when Zach Smith was fired. The 2018 defense was unbelievably bad thanks to Greg Schiano and Bill Davis, and it's a black mark on Meyer's time at Ohio State and yet... they lost one game all year, trounced their more highly ranked rival to close the regular season, and won the Rose Bowl. I don't think Meyer's lost as much of his fastball as you seem to.
  23. Cooks missed one tackle on Davis. Do. Not. Want. - Signed, Surly
