Due to signing a deferred-money contract in 1999, every year on July 1st, from 2011-2035, Bobby Bonilla receives $1,193,248.20 from the Mets.  Bonilla retired in 2001.

Just read an article on this earlier. Bonilla's agent negotiated an 8% interest rate on the deferment, and at the time the Wilpons had a bunch of money with ole Bernie Madoff earning a smooth 12-15% annual return. What could go wrong?

So instead of buying him out for almost 6mil at the time they’ll pay him over 42mil.

He’s got to have some dirty stuff on someone.
