I just want to say this season was the most unsatisfying season I can remember in a long, long time. yeah we sucked for a decade plus but we knew that going into each season. we did not know that this year would end without a playoff berth. I'm so annoyed.  I'm starting to shift my attention and such but dang this sucks.

I was pretty dang satisfied beating OU and A&M in back-to-back years.

Agreed. This was literally the best season possible if we were going to miss the CFP. If we did any better, we would've been in.

Arch made serious strides and finally let his nuts hang. We beat the hell out of A&M, OU, and Arkansas. Sark has casus belli to clean up the shit we've allowed to rot (looking at you, Flood and Banks).

I think this is an inflection point for the team. Progress isn't linear, it goes three steps forward, one step back. This season was a step back, but man... it could have been a lot worse.

I won't fault anyone for feeling unsatisfied, but I am happy about how things went given how I was feeling about our prospects around week 6.

I think we all thought Texas had reached that Bama/Georgia level, where you just reload. We saw some holes in development and roster management. Hoping that gets sorted out this offseason.

Arch is the ONLY part of next year's offense I have confidence in.  The rest looks underwhelming.....at best.

Well we haven’t seen what the portal will bring us so hard to call anything underwhelming at this point.

To reload you actually have to try

Yea I'm going with the season where TC fucking U scored the first 50 on us as the most unsatisfying I can remember.

This years team wasn’t as good as it could have and should have been. But it sure wasn’t that.

Years where we sucked ass I was already prepared for disappointment

3-0 against the three historicals is great for sure still sitting here with a good team that but for some bullshit (mostly self imposed) would be in the playoffs is pissing me off

Considering the way Arch and the o line started, we really should be happy we are finishing top 15.  There was a point after the Florida game where people were wondering if we would go 5-7.

That's a matter of perspective. Sure, there's something to be said for the team not taking a nose dive. However, its also fair to be upset with with the off season and early season coaching choices that put is there in the first place. NFL caliber QBs don't walk on campus regularly and for the 4 since Vince and 2 under Sark it's fair to ask when will we take the next step as a program.

Needing clear changes in GM practices/leadership, and replacing Akina, Banks and Flood in a single off season is not a confidence building reality. None of that even addresses the offensive scheme.

For the money Sark is making and our NIL it feels pretty reasonable to expect more.
