Do you think if we win the Big 12 tournament we sneak in as the last one seed?

Oh it’s very possible. I outlined it above. We really need Stanford to win the PAC 12 tournament.

Is there really much difference between the overall 4 and 5?

A white jersey vs. a dark jersey.

The only thing to be feared is a No. 2 seed in South Carolina's region. I'd feel equally as good about our chances with anyone else in the field.

Wow! SO happy for Madi!

Big congrats to Deyona, Aaliyah, Shay, Shaylee and Taylor as well.

I may need to stop bitching about the B12 coaches now....

Fantastic job ladies!

I still think Vic deserved Coach of the Year, but whatever. Baranczyk was blessed with a healthy roster. Vic showed once again how he can do more with less.

Unbelievable job by Vic, just a traveling call away from getting the COY.

Great job by Jennie, much deserved. SEC is going to be loaded with great WBB coaches. (+ 1 subhuman reptilian shithead)

Good to see Holle recognized.  I've said it before, but she is often overlooked because her contributions are flashy/attention getting.  She plays good defense and has a ton of hustle plays that don't necessarily show up on the stat sheet.

I hate saying the Big 12 did something *correct* but their changes to the WBB tournament were the right moves:

  • No games on Sunday, so teams in the top 4 only have to win 3 games in 4 days, versus 3 games in 3 days in previous years (QF Saturday, SF Monday, Championship Tuesday)
  • Also by moving the SF to Monday, all games for the SF and championship are on ESPN2
  • Big 12 also moved their tournament up by a week (March 7-12 this year with Selection Sunday on March 17, versus last year being March 9-12 with Selection Sunday March 12) to be more in line with the other conferences - Big 12 teams will now have a nice period of rest from March 12 (or when their Big 12 tournament run ends) to March 22/23 (or 20/21 if they are in the First Four)

Texas last year would have benefitted from 10+ days of rest.

Very happy with these changes!

USC, UCLA, and Stanford are all in the pac12 semifinals. Two of those teams will probably get #1 seeds

Yeah, the NET loves the PAC 12. Texas is going on the outside looking in

SC, Stanford, B1G tournament winner, PAC 12 runner up

We could have gotten our #1 seed in Norman and we blew it. We know. Vic knows it.

Ultimately, I think it might be to our advantage to be a 2 seed as long as we are not in SC's side of the bracket. Aaliyah Moore has mentioned several times that this team takes things personally. I take that to mean the low expectations by the media and some of the fanbase after Rori's injury and how they've responded. If they win the Big 12 tournament and are left out of the 1 seeds, that might provide a chip on their shoulder mentality.

Maryland completely destroyed Ohio State today. Iowa will get a one seed if they win the B1G. If they don't win the B1G, another team could slide in.

Hope exists

Celeste had a terrible game. 3-11 shooting and 1-7 from deep.

Baylor wins their 6th straight, knocking Tech out. Sand Witch finishes 17-16

A lot of people think the conference finals will be Texas/Baylor.

Back to a 1 seed according to Creme

With Ohio State and UCLA losing, the door is open to stealing it. Starts today with KU though

From Creme

Texas' hold on a No. 1 is far from secure. The Longhorns likely have to win the Big 12 tournament and/or hope that USC beat Stanford to win the Pac-12.

We really don't want to pull that trigger on the three. Getting some good looks.

Glad Hadi is back

I’d like to see Maul in if Shaylee isn’t going to even try to score

Papadopoulous is a whole lotta woman.

Cry me a river because she “gets fouls called on her because of her size” like I didn’t watch Imani McGee get a billion fake fouls called on her because she was taller than everyone or even Ebo

That's why we should call Madi's number during droughts.

She’s missing them too. Why do we look tired/dead legs? We had a week off!

34-29 Texas at the half

Pretty abysmal 2nd quarter offensively against the zone. Vic didn’t do good coaching
