A club team from anywhere else in the world is goung to be a much harder sell.

Some of the best attendance figures have been for the American/Americas (meaning los dos continents) teams.

I mean let’s be fair to FIFA here - no one really cares about this tournament. I mean people are watching for Wolrd Cup tickets like hawks and would sell a kidney to go. This tournament just doesn’t have the juice. It might one day, but until then we’re going to get these attendance numbers.

51,600 in Seattle to see a result everyone knew would happen, 3pm on a Thursday. Kudos to Atlético Madrid for taking it seriously and trying to close their goal differential in the group. (I would have loved to have found those Miami $4 tickets, but the prices never dropped and the cheap seats went for $65.)

Aah roo Joe fuck me why do the british think they have fucking license to hack people's names to death.  And the word taco.

I've always found it strange. America is the opposite. We don't always pronounce shit correctly but we at least ask how to pronounce stuff and correct each other when it's wrong.

I mean it's a foul, but was it that bad?

Yeah, yeah it was. What was Jackson doing there?

I was doing some laundry right after the 2nd goal went back and watched this card and the 3rd goal. Oof for Chelsea.

Monterrey fans? Still 0 0

And why do they call these guys river plate? Should be Silver River or maybe the slang for plata which is money.

Too bad, I love watching them lose. It's not like pachuca is being completely overpowered.

Edit...spoke too soon

Inter Miami played a Brazilian club in Miami (the capital of Latin America) in front of 60K fans and Seattle Sounders played the Champions League champions PSG in front of 50K at home, both very respectable numbers.

Then you had a half-empty stadium and one at less than 25% capacity.
