Chelsea FC 2025-26: Where All Those 8-Year Contracts Start to Make Sense?

Lots of movement to happen still but a step up over last season finishing 4th and heading to the Champions League. One of the youngest squads in the league with plenty of talent. Maybe we get this thread over 4 pages.

Highly touted adds
- Estevao - Anyone who watched the CWC knows he has a ton of talent. More leadership than I expected.
- Paez - Young Colombian talent
- Giddens - LW that was a huge part of Dortmund's success last season
- Delap/Joao Pedro - Very welcomed competition at the 9. If Nicolas wants it, go get it. That being said he appears to be an idiot to me.

Interesting Loanees returning
- Petrovic - One of the highest rated GKs in Ligue 1. Some discussion that he wants to leave based on being left out of the CWC roster
- Renato Vega - Very versatile player, did well at Juventus at CB and can provide cover at LB. Recently linked with Bayern Munich.
- Andrey Santos - Highly touted Brazillian youth. Depth in with Lavia's injury history.

Thankful Exit
- Kepa - Fuck that guy. Oh and fuck Courtios while we are at it.

Expected Exits
- Joao Felix - only room for one Joao
- Raheem Sterling - Hated this signing from day one
- Chilly - I'd expect him to wander off, but wouldn't hate him sticking around for depth and leadership
- Noni - Currently working on his contract with Arsenal as we play the CWC, talented but plenty of games was a black hole that played no defense
- Nkunku - Has been unhappy with his role for awhile since his injury.

I barely watched any European soccer this past season. Not much more than that the year before. I'd like to get back into it. Chelsea had felt so soulless and directionless for a few years there. Pretty good PL season and the CFC run has been fun.

Get past Fluminiase or whatever the fuck and give someone a run for their money in the final.

[Matt Law]: Bournemouth have approached Chelsea over goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic. Deal not yet agreed and Chelsea will demand £25million. Sunderland, Strasbourg and others have also shown interest

Wesley Fofana: “I'm a Chelsea player and I'm proud, I don't want to go anywhere. I'm happy here, thanks. Is that clear enough?”

[BILD] Chelsea star on Bayern's list: Chelsea star Renato Veiga is on the Bayern list and has been watched by Bayern scouts for several weeks. On One condition: As a replacement for Min-jae Kim, if he leaves Bayern. Bayern would probably have to transfer around 35m euros to Chelsea as a transfer fee

The Telegraph: Crystal Palace have enquired about Chelsea wonderkid Josh Acheampong on a season-long loan as their latest short-term deal from Stamford Bridge.

[David Ornstein] Christopher Nkunku is again a target for Bayern Munich

[Fabrizio Romano] EXCL: Arsenal have submitted initial bid for Noni Madueke around £50m package, add-ons included. Chelsea want more than £50m fixed as Elanga/similar deals remain their reference. Good relationship between clubs as talks continue, Madueke agreed terms with Arsenal.

Arsenal have solved your PSR problems more than selling hotels and women’s clubs to yourself has. Nice connection the last few years for Chelsea.

So I've known that my work was going to land me at the Final of the Club World Cup for awhile. I didn't even want to talk about the possibility of Chelsea making it there for fear of jinxing things. I know this cup is fledgling at best, but I'm glad it exists as this will be my first opportunity to cheer the boys on in person. I know we will be underdogs to whoever wins today, but I'm hoping the fact that it's a final between two top flight Euro clubs will at least draw a respectable crowd for a good match day experience.

BTW, I'm totally using this as justification for buying one of our 2025 away shirts. I don't think anyone has mentioned those yet on this thread, but they might be my favorite away shirt since I started following the club ~12 years ago.

Yep. Send our depth your way to provide you depth and us with balanced books. Only transfer over the past couple of years that I didn't feel great about was winning against Arsenal for Mudryk. Would've loved to lose that bidding war.

Kepa - good riddance
Sterling - much appreciated
Kai - Go miss sitters elsewhere
Jorg - Good player, was very much a semi-retirement move
David Luiz - Similar to Jorg, got money for someone a year away from stepping away from high level football

Honestly of all the business Arsenal has done to help balance our books, Noni probably is far and away the best player. And he's going to cost 50mil and sit your bench and complain. Sounds good to me.

Good point on kits. Good stuff all around this season. The background on the blue is a bit odd when looked at up close, but those away kits are fantastic.
