Yeah idk how to feel about the hire. I feel like there's an identity that needs to be established for that position. It was the Texas identity to have contact balance and run inside zone with some shake and bake and catching out if the backfield.

Idk wtf our backfield is right now.

We haven’t had a single offensive identity in 5 years with Sark….it won’t change. Identity comes from the coach in charge of the offense.

Eh, I beg to differ.

Sark has been EXTREMELY consistent at playing “TRY TO CHUNK IT FUCKING DEEP DESPITE THE OL BEING INCAPABLE OF BLOCKING ANY PASS RUSHERS.”

oh, and also “RUSHING FOR 6.5 YPC? BETTER CALL 3 STRAIGHT DEEP PASSES”

I would love to have an offense that isn't constantly trying to be too cute. I want "we are going to run this play, there's nothing you can do to stop it, we will keep doing this until it stops being effective, and when that happens, we will run this other play that there's nothing you can do to stop." We get there by dominating the line of scrimmage, giving the RB job to the two best backs in country (the next Earl, Ricky, Jamal, Cedric, D'Onta, JB, Bijan, step right up), and simplifying the passing game for Arch.

He did that a lot in bijan’s last year. Remember the Baylor game?
