  1. OK, you get a gold star for Picot Ascot or whatever that was. You didn't explain much about it, though.
  2. Truman could have waited another week before dropping that second bomb.
  3. She grew up in Pennington, NJ, about 5 miles away from me. Just so everyone here understands: Hannibal Lecter played the role of Hannibal Lecter on TV. Got it?
  4. Has Hamas been willing to sign a peace treaty with Israel? Or are they still working with the "Israel has no right to exist" thing? Since I can't get anyone to engage about the history, here it is. I didn't realize Egypt was blockading Gaza as well. Anyone know why?
  5. 1. Based on historical events I can understand why Jews believe "by any means necessary." 2. As I mentioned earlier, it would help to understand the rationale for creating a nation state out of someone else's land. The Brits seemed unusually bad at thinking ideas like this through.
  6. Can you cite an example one of each, and post a link that to prove that it wasn't in retaliation for a prior attack or use of say, a school or hospital, as a staging point for weapons or the like? Like this: https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/morning-mix/wp/2014/07/31/why-hamas-stores-its-weapons-inside-hospitals-mosques-and-schools/
  7. Did Israel invade Gaza?
  8. Since a lot of what goes on in the Middle East is layer upon layer of scar tissue, can you go back in time to some of the "original sin" of this conflict? Can you tell us a little about Black September and why they attacked the Israeli athletes at Munich? Were there Israeli aggressions prior to that? When did Israel wall off Gaza and was it in response to anything in particular? I hear you when you say there will be collateral damage to innocent Palestinians. Was there an opposition political party in Gaza that is trying to prevent the escalation of violence? How many rockets have been fired at Israel in the past two days, and how does all that get hidden?
  9. So let me ask you a question: You know there are Arabs of all kinds walking around Israel. I mentioned that in Goyim Observations. How do they differ from those in Gaza? You know there are Arabs in the West Bank who aren't blowing shit up all the time (that said, there are checkpoints you have to drive through and we were told not to stop the car or pick up hitchhikers). How do they differ from those in Gaza? My impression of Hamas and Gaza is best summed up in that meme about the guy on a bike putting a stick in his spokes and then blaming someone else. Maybe you can speak to why they are being squeezed and whether they had the opportunity to take a more rational course. I'll hang up and listen.
  10. Games like ASU and CSU were better indicators of how much the program has turned around, which it has. Can't learn much from a blowout win or loss.
  11. In this week's edition of Goyim Observations, we speak with Bullneck, world renown numbskull: "I heard once that most of what is modern day Israel was just desert, kinda like the area between Pecos and El Paso. Then the Jews were looking for a site for a post-Holocaust homeland and all Europeans said NIMBY. Finally the British said, "Welp, Lancashire is off limits but we got some land we'll give you for free. It's right over there. Over there (pointing). Just head out a thousand miles or kilometers and you're home! In the Holy Land. What's not to like?" So, the kinfolk moved to Galilee, as the song goes. Eventually the Israelis got tired of the Brits and tried to blow them up in the King David Hotel. And the other countries in the area weren't super happy about things either. But the real issue is what about the people who were already there and what kind of "deal" they got when Israel was created. Now that Israel is developed and prosperous and looks like Souther California from the air (I thought i was landing at LAX the one time I flew into Tel Aviv) and has a lot of people, there is some tension. Also, only about half of the people in Israel are Jews, the rest are Arab and since they multiply on the Boebert timeline eventually they will minority majority. I think that last part is the root of the latest ultra right wing moves Bibi is making. They are ready to do whatever it takes to ensure the Jewish state survives, no matter the cost or political damage. I can recall 30ish years ago hearing about Israel bulldozing non-Jewish housing and building settlements, which is likely to piss people off. The level of violence has gotten so bad the Israelis have walled off the Gaza Strip (governed by Hamas, which is significantly worse than the government of the West Bank). I disagree with Brian Fantana's assessment that Gaza is an open air prison. They have access to the Med, which should be worth something. The problem is they have a significant population of extremists that can't control themselves." Anyone with actual knowledge want to fact check this?
  12. Wondering that myself. He seems to have no connection to Leach. Uniting the fan base, I guess.
  13. ^^^ "Money is fungible."
  14. We released a hold on $6billion of their money that can only be spend on humanitarian aid.
  15. If aggy beats bama ol' Saban might just keel over.

    3rd and 9

This. 27-20 was the score and you'd have to be crazy to think OU wouldn't score again. So get some points. The running into the kicker penalty resulted in a TD as well. We played horribly. The team looked scared in the first half. '91 Cotton Bowl vibes.
  17. New nickname: Bert the Kicker. What do you think? Or is "____ the Kicker already taken."
  18. This comes from a guy who knows a thing or two about arousing evil.
  19. We just need to not fuck up any more this half. If the worst that happens is we go to half down 3 that's a blessing given how bad we've played, the injuries, and the ref crew.
