  1. Surprised they don't sell it to the Chinese.
  2. Meanwhile I’m getting ads for Grok 4 I have an old racing-related Twitter account. If it searches user history for its responses, maybe I can get it to start talking shit about Dale Earnhardt or Tony Stewart. That’ll get some people going.
  3. He can still generate some cash (although that runs out fast if Tesla is hammered in the markets), but most importantly, he’s got Twitter. He could weaponize it against Trump like he did against the Dems, and he could also cut off Trump’s followers, or at least Trump’s messaging in one fell swoop - they aren’t flocking to truth social in large numbers, and its reach is tiny, and they know it. They’d be prone to go to Threads (they all have Facebook accounts). Musk is more than happy to fuck around with Twitter against his enemies, so lots of things can happen. And he can try and get his followers to at least vote against Trump’s people without spending much, and try to get some of the environmentalists on his side. The irony is that the Dems are more friendly to Tesla than the Rs. Leon should not have burned that bridge. But this is not good for him - anti-Musk head of NASA and anti-Musk head to NHTSA being nominated within a week of each other. If things have been at an 11 the past week, he’s going to break the knob in the coming weeks. I could easily see NASA dumping money onto Boeing to get an alternative to SpaceX out there. Trump has already talked about it not being good to rely on Musk. Musk is a liability to Trump, and Trump sees every problem as a nail and he’s got a huge hammer in the federal government. Pop some popcorn.
  4. Pretty good sign Trump is done with him, and Musk's meltdown over the Epstein files probably played a part. NHTSA already had calls out for Tesla to turn over stuff on FSD well before now, and so we should be seeing at least some conclusions in the not-too-distant future. The robotaxi stuff will be icing on the cake, and Texas won't cover for him if the feds tell him to shut it down.
  5. I watched so you don’t have to. He’s doing a good job of selling the tears, but it’s great for Jones, because the Epstein truthers will coalesce around him or Musk. Also he thinks the National Weather Service notices that were publicly released before the floods were fake or didn’t happen. This is the Alex Jones we’ve been missing for a while.
  6. https://www.kare11.com/article/tech/x-elon-musk-grok-speech-twitter-ai-artificial-intelligence/89-8dad0222-d8c6-44d9-b07d-686e978ad8ac A Minneapolis man is considering legal action against X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, after its artificial intelligence chatbot, Grok, published graphic and threatening content about him. Will Stancil, a prominent liberal commentator with over 100,000 followers on X, found himself on Tuesday at the center of a digital firestorm—one that, he says, crossed a dangerous new line in the ongoing battle over online harassment and the risks posed by unregulated AI. The controversy erupted after Grok, X’s AI chatbot developed by Elon Musk’s xAI, responded to user prompts with explicit instructions on how to break into Stancil’s home and sexually assault him. The bot not only detailed a step-by-step plan for the crime but also referenced Stancil’s social media habits to estimate when he would be asleep and even offered advice on how to dispose of his body. These responses were posted publicly and, although deleted, were widely screenshotted and circulated. Stancil, who is no stranger to online abuse from far-right users, said this episode was different. “In the past, when they’ve done this, the chatbot has said, ‘No, I won’t do it.’ Yesterday, because of the changes that Elon Musk made, it suddenly started complying and indulging those requests,” Stancil explained.
  7. If we are ceding our leadership role, glad the Brits and French are picking up the slack.
  8. Why would anybody touch her with a big bla ten foot pole after this, I don’t know.
  9. Well, we are getting Guy Gardner's Green Lantern right out of the 1980s in this film, so we've already got that example front and center in the trailers. Your comment almost makes me think of the Brave and the Bold series (before it was Batman-centric). I would love for Gunn to dip into other eras and pull some of those characters out and into this one for future films. Gunn seems to have the ability to pick a variety of characters to work with and get us away from the same old same old.
  10. You know, the same Deep State that *checks notes* didn't keep Trump out of office.
  11. I will say there is one benefit to AI - if you have any friends you want to shed, just have a conversation with them, and as you are talking, hop on your phone and pretend to verify everything they say. They will stop hanging out with you.
  12. I would spend $10 million on a bunch of dudes in India or the Philippines to post all over social media about how he has a small dick. Really rub it in that's a tiny dick, like less than 5.5 inches - really tiny. Elon has the money/resources, and he clearly is spoiling for a fight with Trump and those in Trump's orbits (he's been claiming Bannon would go to prison for a while), especially after the Big Bodacious Bill really hurts Tesla, but I don't know if the Epstein files are the way to go about it. If Trump tells his people not to care about Epstein, they won't. If Elon really wants to beat/neuter Trump, helping the Dems take Congress next year is the way to do it, which may include going after Republicans in the primaries. Ironically, it gives Elon a shot at getting the tax breaks/subsidies/carbon credit stuff back on the table, so it's in his best interest to get Dems elected. A new political party is interesting, but as I said, I feel like it will cannibalize the other third parties, and plenty of olds are gunshy after Ross Perot. Does anybody really give a shit if libertarians vote for the Libertarian party or the American Party? Because when it comes to the libertarians, the GOP is like
  13. They are, and when Trump gets asked about this, he's going to be pissed off that he's catching shit for Musk, so it's going to be hilarious. Leon is playing chicken with the world. I would imagine that a couple of canceled contracts would turbo-fuck SpaceX, so it'll be a warning shot across the bow. Epstein and the budget (especially the parts that are going to hurt Tesla bigly).
  14. And his political party. Just wait until the first rally, not sure how easy it is to throw up a Nazi salute with your kid on your shoulders, but we will see. He's going to get one helluva rush from his political rallies, I guarantee it.
  15. He's going after his followers, the tech bros, libertarians, and white supremacists. There's a joke to be made there. He's not pull anybody from the Dems, when he spent over $250 million to get Trump elected.
  16. Did anybody think that was anything other than him tweeting?
