  1. Meta AI is designed in such a way that causes boomers to publicly post their AI prompts and questions. PSA: Get Your Parents Off the Meta AI App Right Now Wild things are happening on Meta’s AI app. The feed is almost entirely boomers who seem to have no idea their conversations with the chatbot are posted publicly. They get pretty personal (see second pic, which I anonymized). pic.twitter.com/0Hoff1psPU — Justine Moore (@venturetwins) June 11, 2025 There were a lot of tweaks when Meta crossed over from the Meta View app to the Meta AI app back in late April, and it seems not all of them have been registered by the people using it. Arguably one of the biggest shifts, as you can see from the tweet above, is the addition of a “Discover” feed, which in this case means that you can see publicly what kinds of prompts people are funneling into Meta’s ChatGPT competitor. That might be fine if those people knew that what they were asking Meta AI would be displayed in a public feed that’s prominently featured in the app, but based on the prompts highlighted by one tech investor, Justine Moore, on X, it doesn’t really look like people do know that, and it’s bad, folks. Very bad. I spent an hour browsing the app, and saw: -Medical and tax records -Private details on court cases -Draft apology letters for crimes -Home addresses -Confessions of affairs …and much more! Not going to post any of those – but here’s my favorite so far pic.twitter.com/9KqGeLB5UN — Justine Moore (@venturetwins) June 12, 2025 As Moore notes, users are throwing all sorts of prompts into Meta AI without knowing that they’re being displayed publicly, including sensitive medical and tax documents, addresses, and deeply personal information—including, but not limited to—confessions of affairs, crimes, and court cases. The list, unfortunately, goes on. I took a short stroll through the Meta AI app for myself just to verify that this was seemingly still happening as of writing this post, and I regret to inform you all that the pain train seems to be rolling onward. In my exploration of the app, I found seemingly confidential prompts addressing doubts/issues with significant others, including one woman questioning whether her male partner is truly a feminist. I also uncovered a self-identified 66-year-old man asking where he can find women who are interested in “older men,” and just a few hours later, inquiring about transgender women in Thailand. I can’t say for sure, but I am going to guess that neither of these prompts was meant for public consumption. I mean, hey, different strokes for different folks, but typically when I’m seeking dating advice or having doubts about my relationship, I prefer it to be between me and a therapist or close friend. Gizmodo has reached out to Meta about the issue, and a spokesperson stressed that posts are only shared when users tap the “share” button at the top-right corner of the Meta AI interface after asking the chatbot a question. There’s also a “post” button to send the exchange to Discover. When asked why it thinks so many users may have mistakenly posted what they intended to be private queries, a Meta spokesperson did not respond.
  2. Or maybe they took a financial position that by disabling the dislike views, people would be willing to click on a lot more videos, which means more advertising revenue. As @Captain Ron said, it used to be that you'd see a bunch of dislikes and skip a video. If you only see likes, you're more likely to click on a video. It's not rocket science. And given the timing of the removal, the rise of AI-generated videos could have played a part, because people were downvoting the hell out of the shitty six-fingered ones, even as more and more were created (some even using Google's other platforms). We are reaching a point where AI-created videos are saturating YouTube and it's a long-term problem for Google unless they change things beyond the disclaimers about AI usage.
  3. How many of those weapons were sent to Russia in exchange for Russian resources or things to bypass Iran's own sanctions? How many ended up with the Houthis?
  4. They are pussies. These are very malleable people whose opinions change based on whatever they last heard from the people they like (or the bots they listen to online) and they'd don't like to admit to mistakes in judgement (they would rather attack somebody else's well-reasoned position than defend a wrong opinion they have) because admitting you were wrong is viewed as weak, and which is why social media is such a problem (malleable maybe a better word than "pussy"). And yeah, those TexAgs threads make me think that they all slept through their government classes (or were daydreaming about sheep or Lassie or whatever) or they just don't care because they were told not to care. Look, now that Trump has apparently lost the use of the National Guard (kudos to those who predicted that), and they will be told to stand down by the Governor, this is where we find out how far he's willing to go. It's a lot easier to support when it's Marines backing up the local/state National Guard versus American Marines beating down American civilians in an American city. And while I love my crayon-eating USMC vet relatives, 700 Marines can't do much in a metro area of 19 million people that's geographically bigger than the states of Rhode Island and Delaware, and losing the California NG is a big deal logistically for them. This is some crazy shit, but I think he finds a way to duck out somehow ("whoops, gotta send the Marines abroad to evacuate American embassies, look everybody, it's Iran and their nukes!"). Don't think for a moment that there aren't people in his orbit who are realizing that if things truly spiral out of control this weekend, that next year's elections will be very bad for him.
  5. Every seat on that flight was potentially upgraded to an ejection seat for free.
  6. Same could happen in Russia. Putin has fired a lot of people/lot of people fell out of high-rise windows. Not to mention the attrition rate of Russian military officers in Ukraine: List of Russian generals killed during the Russian invasion of Ukraine - Wikipedia KIU ✪ Russian Officers killed in Ukraine 🇨🇿🇺🇦 (@KilledInUkraine) / X At least 6350 Russian officers have been eliminated in the Russian invasion of Ukraine since 24 February 2022. 1000 Captains. Weekly update: +116 newly registered. The higher increase is again due to archival records. Sources: public Russian obituaries and graves.

  8. Wrong Trump - it's Vanessa Trump for 2028 - she's dating Tiger Woods and apparently moved in with him.
  9. Iran is not a part of that "no more new wars" thing.
  10. So follow-up, I called 911 later that morning because they said "please contact 911 if you have any information" and I told them "thanks for letting me know, but my kids are accounted for and are pre-teens anyways." They weren't happy about that call (guess they were upset they still didn't have any info, I dunno) and kind of vaguely threatened me for calling 911 with that info, so I decided not to spout off some Dead Milkmen lyrics at them. Anyways, apparently APD uses 911 to reverse-call everybody within a few miles when something like this happens, but my wife didn't get the call (and her phone and my share an account). Was wondering what the follow-up to that was, but the area where the kid was at is Tarrytown, so yeah, there will be no follow-ups.
  11. By the way, they didn’t do it because they were worried about guys being bullied, they prevented it because they were concerned it would take away from other sports.

  18. Musk says Tesla’s robotaxi service to ‘tentatively’ launch in Austin on June 22 – KXAN Austin Elon Musk says Tesla is “tentatively” set to begin providing robotaxi service in Austin, Texas, on June 22. In a post on his X social media platform, Musk said the date could change because Tesla is “being super paranoid about safety.” ----- Last month, Musk told CNBC that the taxis will be remotely monitored at first and “geofenced” to certain areas of the city deemed the safest to navigate. He said he expected to initially run 10 or so taxis, increase that number rapidly and start offering the service in Los Angeles, San Antonio, San Francisco and other cities. ----- The Austin rollout also comes after Musk had a public blowup with President Donald Trump over the administration’s tax bill. Some analysts have expressed concern that Trump could retaliate by encouraging federal safety regulators to step in at any sign of trouble for the robotaxis. -----
  19. I’d use it to get with Sela Ward or Susanna Hoffs and then send a few photos a week to Brisket rubbing his face in it.
