He had been at UGA in some capacity for 14 seasons and won the Women's Indoor and Men's Outdoor in 2018.  

What a weird situation.

Tripp Piperi apparently has not fully recovered from his ankle injury and did not qualify for the Olympic team with a decent 11th place put of 65’+, about 6’ shy of his personal best last year.

However, former Longhorn Ryan Crouser came in first by breaking the 31 year old world record with a monster throw of 76’-8.25”.
