  1. The West Bank and Gaza are under Israeli control. Life there sucks and in particular the Gazans (Gazites?) are walled off from civilization. However, they are violent and hateful and have fired thousands of rockets at Israel. So, yeah, Israel got tired of them and built a wall. So, - Life in Israel - can be pretty nice. - Life in Gaza - really sucks. But note that around 20% of the walking around Jerusalem population is Arab. But peaceful. That's it, in a nutshell.
  2. Wow, what a cop out. Why should I infer when you can just state it? That way there is no doubt about it. ************************************** I had lunch with one of my oldest friends (met in the late 1970s, so we're both in our 60s) last week. He's Jewish and considered going aliyah a few years ago. A few things came out of this: He's surprised at the more supportive attitude of younger people toward Palestine, He ran through the history of the region from the mid to late 1800s, the Ottoman Empire, the British Mandate, the Zionist movement, the independent state, the 6 day and Yom Kippur wars to the present situation, He said that Jews have always lived in, and owned land in, the region and the major cause of friction is the refusal of certain groups to recognize the state of Israel, He's basically of the mind that the hostages are going to die. And that for Israel this is a war of survival. He's more concerned about Hezbollah than anything from Gaza. The thinks Biden is going to try to force Israel into compromises that won't last and will erode their security.
  3. The Jets have the worst QB ever to play at BYU. This dude loves taking 20 yard sacks. On 4th down.
  4. Palestinian citizens (non-combatants) - T&R Hamas - irredeemable and despicable, so . . . Hamas has made it impossible to separate the two from each other, but Israel has the obligation to take the most effective route to protecting their citizens. It's going to get uglier, but you are invited to provide your solution in the space below: Captainant's Solution: _________________________________
  5. I watched this again and think it might be both: munitions and tunnel entries set off by one bunker buster.
  6. So, do you have an answer or course of action in any of that?
  7. 1. Maybe . . . maybe not (remember that Truth and Reconciliation part). 2. Hamas is a terror organization. It does not represent the Palestinian people. In fact, they are it's victims in the same way many Russians are Putin's victims and how most Americans would be if Trump were ever to hold office again. 3. Terrorists might be rehabilitated (like 0.001% chance), but it's quicker and easier to kill them. Same with ISIS. Do you recall the atrocities of a few weeks ago? Or of ISIS burning children in cages? If anyone chooses to respond, please cite by number the statement you're responding to. It will reduce the number of blanket responses. (Edit: @Captainant Interesting that you didn't address the other, more lengthy parts of my post and concentrated on one sentence. Why? What do you think will or should become of Hamas?)
  8. @Brisketexan Great point, and now is the best time to shine a light on this. @Serak The Preparer We have to break the cycle. We need someone (UN, I guess) to use the same Truth and Reconciliation techniques from Rwanda and South Africa to break the cycle of hate. It will have to happen after Palestinians revoke their anti-Israel charter and have a new government. If you want peace, work for justice. This will only happen after every member of Hamas is dead.
  9. I think it's the blast of the initial explosion travelling through a system of tunnels and exiting at successive openings.
  10. LOL at the guy with The Shocker foam finger. Wearing orange . . . sort of looks like a Hook 'em. But not really.
  11. Yeah, they ain't bad at all. And to think of what things were like when Les Miles got canned, seemed like they were ready for Div II. Pretty amazing coaching job so far.
  12. THIS POST EDITED BY TEXAGS STAFF.
  13. I think if we were playing a better team we'd lose. I guess we'll see how it goes next week with KState.
  14. Holding in the end zone is a safety. But no, hand to the face.
  15. Welp, let's say we only have one loss but I'm not sure how.
  16. He's consistently 1 second late on his throws.
