  2. the fed is losing credibility? I would argue the exact opposite. The fed is doing their thing against extreme political pressure. They're ignoring the static.
  3. always thinking about cooze
  4. Jeff Bridges? That one?
  5. a restaurant down here is a destination spot for bikers, with all sorts of "patriotic" shit. At noon every day, they play the Star Spangled Banner, and everybody is expected stop eating and stand up.
  6. From wiki: In May 2020, Grant, McMahon, and a personal friend of McMahon engaged in a threesome and at one point, McMahon allegedly defecated upon Grant. McMahon temporarily retired to the restroom to clean himself, at which point the threesome continued for an hour and half with Grant still covered in McMahon's feces.[10] In June 2021, Laurinaitis and McMahon "cornered her and pulled her in between them, forcibly touched her, before ultimately putting her on top of a table in between them. She begged them to stop, but they forced themselves on her, each taking turns restraining her for the other".[10] During the course of her employment, McMahon shared sexually explicit media with a "world-famous athlete" and former UFC Heavyweight Champion[10] – identified by The Wall Street Journal as Brock Lesnar[12] – to entice him to sign a new WWE contract, which the talent eventually did sign.[10] Grant alleged that the misconduct continued until 2022, at which point McMahon's wife Linda – a former WWE executive and politician – discovered the affair and threatened to divorce him. After several months of negotiations, WWE, McMahon, and Grant signed an NDA in which Grant would be awarded $3 million for her silence; after signing the contract, Grant alleged that McMahon attempted to assault her again. Grant also alleged that key figures in WWE were fully aware of the conduct, and actively sought to conceal McMahon's wrongdoing.[10]
  7. started a rewatch, and I'm seriously considering fast forwarding until Richie Aprielle gets buried on a hillside with pine cones.

  9. I go to a little material yard not far from my house. The owner bought a new transfer a couple of years ago. We were talking about it, as the KW salesman had just left. He was paying about $200,000 IIRC, and, that's a hell of a lot of money. He was feeling like a big shot. The salesman had come buy to get his signature on something. He asked the guy if he wanted to grab lunch. The guy says no, I've got to get over to Superior Ready Mix. Material guy says "oh, are they buying a truck from you"? He says "they're buying 100 of them". Material guy no longer felt like a big shot.
  10. a facility where a conflicted sex offender should not (by BOP policy) allowed to be at. But hey, she got a waiver. No biggie!
  11. sounds like one of those places in New York where the negroes play basketball at midnight. We don't need any of that around here.
  12. Her cell isn't ready yet. The crew is still installing the mini-split AC.
  13. I'd bet my next commission that she's gonna have an iphone too. And she won't have to hide it in in her snatch...the guards will be told to look the other way and she'll use it openly. her lawyer has confirmed the move.
  14. I called it waaaayyy upthread. She's gonna be living the cush prison life, like the boys in Goodfellas, until after the midterms. After that, she gets a full pardon. Her "cell" will have a fresh flowers, personally curated by Martha Stewart, a cushy bed with the finest Trump-branded linens (made in China), and a flat screen TV with full subscriptions to the pay channels. The guards will pick out the freshest meat in the jail, and that young girl will be sent to Maxwell's room to give her happy-ending massages.

  17. like the girl in Animal House? "Is it supposed to be this soft?"
  18. Here's the thing: we now have Prop 19, which stall makes it advantageous for people like this to move. Here's how it works: They bought decades ago, so because of prop 13, their tax base is based on that original sales price. Now, for shits and giggles, let's assume that they sell. They could probably get $700,000 or so. They can now buy up to that hypothetical $700,000, and keep the same tax bill. If they buy for a hypothetical $900,000, they would keep the same property tax bill for the first $700,000, and pay the full tax rate (1.25%) on the additional $200,000.
  19. The old phrase "there's nothing more expensive than a cheap lawyer" works for property managers too.
