  1. Off topic, but anyone who hasn't watched The IT Crowd should do so. It's awesome.
  2. Will second this. https://wyomingdinosaurcenter.org/ for anyone else interested. The museum is cool and they also have public dig programs where you can go dig with their interns. Fair warning, it's in Jurassic Morrison rocks and they are really fucking hard to work in, but it's fun.
  3. Who knew there were hobbits that can't grow hair on their legs and feet?
  4. Don't get your hopes up people. Rudy is two steps ahead of us. He's just going to go hide out in Chinatown, because everybody knows China doesn't have an extradition treaty with the US.
  5. Fuck Florida. If your 6 year old is a dinosaur fan, go to CA and also check out the LA County Natural History Museum. They've got 3 Tyrannosaurus rex on display, including a young juvenile, the only one in the world that I'm aware of. You can get really close to the actual skull bones for all three of them. They've also got a huge Triceratops and a bunch of other cool exhibits, many of which are interactive. The space shuttle is right next door at the California Science Center and there's also the La Brea Tar Pits off Wilshire if he's into ice age animals like dire wolves or mammoths. Feel free to PM me and I can give you the lowdown what the museums have on display.
  6. Zelensky calls for legalization of medical MJ to help Ukraine deal with the trauma. Be nice if Biden and the FDA would get their shit in gear over here.
  7. No and if we had, we'd have dropped the fucker and it would not be fixable for a long, long time. No reason to take that kind of risk without absolutely crippling the Russians. Other news. Surovkin under arrest in Moscow. Good news, because he's one of the more competent military leaders Russia had.
  8. That video emphasizes why Russians are predominately apathetic and passive. Some of them chose to follow Pringless and now they will be tortured and murdered. Pickles used Wagner and those that would follow it for his own purposes, then betrayed a lot of people that are now going to die brutal deaths. Better for the average Russian to stay out of the game of thrones, because the serfs are the ones that pay the price when the person they follow betrays them.
  9. Allegedly more Wagner anti-aircraft systems. Obviously shit is breaking fast, so there's a chance some of these aren't legit, but there've been multiple sources reporting Russian air craft losses.
  10. Footage of the active Pantsir. 18-22 second marks. Photo of a burning Russian helicopter.
  11. Reportedly, Wagner has dropped 3-4 helicopters. I saw footage earlier of at least one Pantsir in the Wagner column.
  12. Rostov. Russian civilians walking around like this is totally normal.
  13. Crybar says russian air assets now hitting the Wagner column. Best thing for Ukraine is for this to drag out for weeks.
  14. New Wagner vs. Russia subreddit started https://www.reddit.com/r/WagnerVsRussia/?rdt=42483
  15. Unpossible. Incredulity completely lacks shame, like the rest of his party. Lack of shame is their idiot savant super power.
  16. The only thing D about RFK Jr. is his name.
  17. More than the rest, but he still routinely bends over backwards for whoever the current favorite is. Him taking this tone indicates Murdoch is ready to move on from Trump, but unfortunately, they'll all come crawling back when it becomes obvious Trump will be the nominee.
  18. Concerning
  19. Delete 3rd of triple post. Too late to delete 2nd.
  20. Very few paleontologists get paid to do actual paleo. The paleo part is mostly volunteer career building work. The vast majority of my livelihood has been from teaching human anatomy. That said, there actually is a guy at Idaho State that "studies" Bigfoot. Jeff Meldrum if anyone wants to look it up. It's absurd. It's not even just the ones in museums. Huge stretches of American west are littered with pieces of bone and shattered bone shards. Some areas, there are so many bone and egg shell fragments that you can hardly walk without stepping on something. Most of the dinosaur bearing formations have extensive areas of public land that the public can access. Any creationist that wants to test whether dinosaurs are real need only go out to these formations and see for themselves. Hell, the creationists even own some of these fossil bearing formations. Mark Meadows sold a bunch of dinosaur bearing land in Colorado to Answers in Genesis without disclosing it. The amount of people it would take to create that kind of hoax is staggeringly ridiculous. Especially so for a science that has very little pubic funding. Most funding is from donations.

  22. Lecithin is an emulsifier, so it helps to bind water and fat, which usually repel each other. It's nice, but not essential when you make gummies, or chocolates, or something else that has both water and fat. Without it, there's a tendency for the gummy and cannabutter to separate a bit in the mold while in the fridge/freezer, but they still work the same. Some people say lecithin makes them hit faster, but I haven't noticed a big difference. Stir immediately before pouring into the mold, otherwise it will start to separate in your double boiler. The ones below are melted Black Forest gummy bears with cannaghee, no lecithin. They've separated a bit, but I keep them in the fridge, so it's not an issue. The ghee doesn't have a strong butter flavor, it's pretty neutral. If you want to keep them out of the fridge, definitely use lecithin to keep them blended. They'll be stable at room temperature for quite a while. Blended they come out about the consistency of a Starburst. Lecithin is not necessary if you are making cannabutter/oil, rice krispy treat variants, green dragon, or RSO, only for things like gummies and chocolates. Always decarboxylate before extracting using any of these methods, or the THC/CBD won't be activated. Decarb is where the Ardent excels. It has a decarb setting for THC and one for CBD. You can do it in an oven, or instant pot, but you'll lose a fair bit more of the THC/CBD in the process.
