  1. Man, Amy Schumer has really let herself go.
  2. Thanks for posting that. Twenty years old but still. Apparently Harry and I were in Austin at the same time but unfortunately he never got to meet me. 😉

    Fuck Cancer

I lost my best friend since high school about five years ago. He was 52 and had been battling for ten years.
  4. Tree's cool - Leave it. The leaning fence has been covered. Now about that weird-ass squirrel...
  5. My mom did this about a year ago and hers came back 98.9% Northwestern European, (and 65.5% British/Irish, 10.9% French/German, 4% Scandinavian and 18.5% Broadly Northwestern European). Less than 0.1% East Asian/Native American and less than 0.1% SubSaharan African. I tease her that she is literally the whitest woman in America. What's more, her haplogroup, (and hence "mine"), is very rare (U4b1a3). It's especially rare in Northwestern Europe and probably rode into England with the Vikings. Interesting stuff. I spent a few months doing genealogy research and found the same. Oh, and our ancestors have been in America a long time to be so lily white. In fact, all the way back to Jamestown, (Rev. Robert Hunt). Regarding the Neanderthal question, she has 330 (+/-) of the 375 (+/-) Neanderthal markers. I find this shit fascinating.
  6. Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?
  7. Takes a few days to get used to the weight of those World Champion rings in the batter's box. We'll be fine, thanks.
  8. Do I have this right? There are four runs in this game on four single run homers, with two for each team and hit by the same guy on each team?
  9. C'mon guys - It's the Rangers fer Chrissakes!
  10. I'm starting to think this Gerrit Cole kid might work out.
  11. Jeez, don't be "That Guy". (Oh wait...)
  12. Yeah, I have five generations of ancestors fertilizing the ground between Lexington and Rockdale. BBQ has been Saturday morning early for the last fifty years. (But it's worth it!)
  13. Snow's BBQ isn't exactly a "hidden" gem, but Lexington is certainly a small town and easy road trip from Austin or Houston.
