  1. No, it's shit that goes back to the 1980s and well before. "First, Notre Dame has to lose." What made THAT game notable was not just that was only our third win all time against them (in a dozen contests), but that such a shitty team meant that Texas Was Back because we'd beaten Notre Dame. A far shittier ND team than the one that took the field last season. That was it. That was the reason. And when you process that cause-and-effect, you'll finally be on the path to enlightenment. I don't know if your blind spot here is because you only see NIL in terms of alumni support, or because you think ND's current administration's attitude towards football will always be their attitude, or you're just not looking at a long enough timeline. Just that it's there, and y'all sound like idiots to me for not getting it. Maybe you're putting your faith in the high ethical standards of the Catholic Church? No idea.
  2. ... bringing our all-time record against them to .250 ... ... starting the whole "Texas is back" meme when we were definitely not back...

  4. This is what happens. This is why we do NOT want Notre Dame to be good.
  5. Oglaf is almost always good. And... almost always NSFW.

  10. Absolutely nothing, which is why using them as an insult isn't entirely kosher.
  11. Never, ever say the dildo accidentally turned itself on. A dildo activated itself and created an emergency situation that required evacuating your DMs.
  12. Yep. That one in particular. Though I think nowadays Aggy applies more.
  13. Well, you can tell she puts out. Yeah that's... how? "Hi, yes, see these volleyballs? I'd like em stitched into my chesticles, thanks."
  14. It's definitely reading too much into just one photograph, but it's yet another data point towards that condition. You and I must know very different teens. Meanwhile, there are some quality comments on Reddit.
  15. I like it because it's 0.5mm thick, easily grabbed, and the texture on it kinda scrapes the strings in a very pleasant way when the gain is up
  16. But seriously: Drawing a direct connection between viewership numbers and "what the people want" is the same kind of lazy thinking that got us, say, Episode 9. Andor's low viewership had more to do with Disney having delivered a lot of very disappointing Star Wars shows in a row than people not wanting more of that. At the time it aired, people were fed up with Disney's Star Wars, and weren't going to give Andor a shot no matter how good the reviews were. You see the same thing with Solo -- was it a great movie? No, but it was a very good movie, set up some interesting story lines, but was killed by people boycotting Star Wars after Episode 8. (See below.) And Solo is a great comparison, because now that time has passed, a lot of people who are otherwise bored are suddenly watching it for the first time, and saying, "Hey... this movie was a lot of fun! Why did everyone hate it so much?" Well, they didn't hate it -- those who actually bothered to watch the damn movie. Nearly all of the hate was from people who didn't, and never were, going to see it. Now that time has passed, people are watching it again and saying, "Hey, why don't we get more things like this?" Well, the answer is because you didn't go watch the good things. I mean, the same thing happened with Rogue One, too. In retrospect, a decent portion of the fan base considers it the best Star Wars movie period, and almost no one considers it anything less than very, very good. Is it as good without Vader vamping it up for a half minute and going hack and slash for another minute? Naw, but he ain't the focus of the show. If you just go by how many people watched it, you miss how much they enjoyed it. I mean... by that logic, we should have more things like Episode 9. 60 million tickets were sold to that: And then there's Episode VII. Do all those ticket sales reflect that people want more remakes of Star Wars, just with a different cast? FUCK no, man! In short: You can't just draw a direct relationship between how many people watched a thing and "This is what they want." Anyway.
  17. meh ask again in a few years people hated Empire Strikes Back when it first came out, too
  18. You're gonna have to link me a source because I don't follow that shit.
