  1. I don’t know but they also played it after the Oregon game. That’s the first time I noticed it. I don’t know what the inspiration is or if there’s some hidden meaning to it. It’s a good song, though.
  2. September 21 against Marshall. https://sports.yahoo.com/holding-ohio-state-football-opponents-192355880.html
  3. You’re wrong. It’s acceptable to use an apostrophe to make a plural out of alphanumeric expressions that aren’t words. It is the 1990’s. I’ve probably seen it used to refer to decades of music more than anything. Like the greatest hits of the 50’s, 60’s, or 70’s. Or 80’s. That’s the only example I own. It’s pretty decent as greatest hits CD’s go.
  4. At 6:30 on Xmas eve? What do you think?
  5. Oh, yeah, well, you can’t cut open and retape those. Only Amazon.
  6. That and because the last time the Irish beat the Buckeyes was 1936.
  7. Should be pedophiles vs. pedophiles. Penn State’s got nothing on the Catholic Church.
  8. The Clinton Foundation is an A-rated charity that does a lot of good work all over the world. I’m not sure what all Obama’s been involved in. Dubya paints and gives paid speeches to right-wing organizations.
  9. I wonder who drew that for him because we know damn well it wasn’t Trump.
  10. His outspoken admiration of dictators like Putin, Xi, and Kim, while he was President, along with his stated campaign policy 8 years ago of not supporting democracy and human rights around the world had the same effect.
  11. It’s been that way the last several years. When it gets to the playoffs, they crack down. Regular season and lesser bowls? No problem. The playoffs? Forget about it.
  12. Start a thread in DT about the shit he actually does starting in 12 days when he actually becomes President. Don’t discuss anything that he merely floats as an idea or a proposal or a concept of a plan. He’s not going to invade Canada or Mexico or Greenland, Panama, or Haiti. Focus on the shit he actually does, not on the outrageous bullshit he says in order to distract us from the serious, harmful shit he actually does.
  13. *moe. Like them or not, Rusted Root doesn’t belong in the same discussion with moe. as a legitimate band worth a listen. They suck horribly while moe. at least has some merit as a jam band. Not one of the greats but they’re still playing and still have a following. I haven’t listened to them in over a decade, maybe two, but they’re still out there. And guitarist Chuck Garvey is one of the nicest guys you could ever meet. They don’t have an album that qualifies but a couple of moe.’s early albums had some good songs that fared well on college radio stations. At the time I think this qualified as a mini-hit: Also had what might have been their best song on that album.
  14. Apparently you missed the Buckeyes’ performance against Georgia in the Peach Bowl two years ago. If looking like a different team than the one who played Michigan comes as a surprise to you then you haven’t been paying attention. This is nothing new nor unexpected. What’s baffling is that Day still hadn’t learned his lesson and still coached not to lose the Michigan game instead of coaching to win. That’s the aberration. Not how he’s coaching now.
  15. Nah. We don’t get to cherry pick greatest hits albums or anything like that.
  16. Also this which is one of the most under-appreciated albums of all time.
  17. Definitely Candy-O as well.
  18. I don’t believe you. Those napkins are so thin and flimsy that I’m pretty sure the pressure of the spring alone will cause a napkin to tear when you pull it out even if only one of them is loaded in the dispenser. And as long as we’re on the subject, how do they manage to load the pepper shaker so full that you can’t shake any pepper out of it? And then, when you unscrew the lid of the shaker in order to unpack it, ground pepper bursts out and falls all over the table because they’ve somehow managed to pack twice the volume of pepper into the vessel than it was designed to hold. How does that happen?
  19. But only the first to beat Texas. 😝
  20. No, not on bad terms at all. CJ Stroud had the job locked up for two years. No one in Columbus wanted Quinn to leave but everyone understood his decision. There were no hard feelings at all because NIL was new, Quinn’s situation was new, and no one had really seen him do anything on the field yet. Losing Joe Burrow had more of an impact but no one begrudged him his decision either and we celebrated his success. He just wasn’t going to supplant Haskins (RIP). It was what it was.
  21. Columbus radio is playing Ewers’ comments from a recent press conference about his time in Columbus. He roomed with Jack Sawyer who was in his recruiting class. A bunch of those guys he came in with are veterans on the Buckeye team now. He said he’s looking forward to seeing them again. I’m sure that’s a complex dynamic because he’d like nothing more than to win the game on the field but but they’re also guys for whom he feels genuine affection who gave him nothing but support both when he was a teammate and when he chose to leave the team. His story, with leaving high school early and making six figures in Columbus without ever contributing anything meaningful to the team’s success, only to leave the team who made him a millionaire in order to chase more money and immediate playing time in his home state, is unprecedented. And now he has a backup QB who a segment of the fanbase would rather see take his job away from him. There’s a ton of pressure, and opportunity, on the young man’s plate right now. Obviously I’m hoping his reunion with his former roommate Captain Jack will turn out differently than you hope it does. Let’s just hope this new expanded playoff doesn’t result in any career-ending injuries to the players on these teams from whom we’re demanding more and more sacrifice in order to entertain us.
