  1. Yeah, I don't know what automated process can determine that a load has shifted and needs to be restrapped and can perform that function. Vans and reefers, no problem. But items on flatbeds and lowboys shift all the time. If anything, the self driving trucks will still be used in conjunction with drivers, as drivers do more than just drive. We will probably see driver manifests go away, along with restricting the hours a driver can be on the road. A six hour nap while the truck does the driving. CHIEF
  2. Better to get no money at home then have to pay the cost to move? Out of 2k players in the portal, is he even in the top 10%? CHIEF
  3. Ordered my D9 jumbos, supposed to be here Tuesday. CHIEF
  4. I would imagine Sark gave Malik a pep talk about Matt Cassel. He would be one sprain, break, or concussion away from being the starter. What a luxury to have possibly a back up with minimal drop off from the starter. Most teams that loose a starting QB will have lost their chance at winning a conference championship and a chance at the CFP. I don't think Texas is a CFP team this year, but could win the conference even if Malik had to take the reins. CHIEF
  5. I assumed it was for the physics involved in successful rock throwing at cars. Weight of the rock, trajectory requirements, timing, thickness of windshield, etc. You know, child's play for a rocket surgeon. CHIEF
  6. How is anyone supposed to know he had it? He may have never told anyone, including the abused spouse. Really, if anyone wants to have a gun, bad enough, they are going to be able to get one. Confiscating guns from people for violent acts (domestic abuse, road rage, assault) is a tall order. They turn in one, they may have another hid in the storage shed under a lawnmower. How do you convince someone that is mentally deranged that they are a menace to themselves, their family, and the general public, and need to turn over ALL of their guns? These people are already non-law abiding citizens. CHIEF
  7. It's a bit more than an hour to NYC, but I hear that East Palestine, Ohio has some cheap vacancies. CHIEF
  8. I bet he misses getting the Roman Orgy at The Magic Time Machine, while getting served by The Cat in the Hat. CHIEF
  9. I don't think there was any maliciousness in what PK did. Arch got the same treatment that any other true freshman QB would get from any opposing DC. Send the house and get to the QB, until he can prove that he can read a defense quickly enough to get the ball out. It's the price of inexperience. CHIEF
  10. Sorry, was busy peeling scrimps and didn't proofread. CHIEF
  11. Google says $1,000,000 worth of dimes weigh slightly over 5000 lbs. I would look for the pick up with the frame bottomed out on the spring perches headed for the William J. Lapetomane tollway. CHIEF
  12. What's even more hilarious is to have the audacity to actually think you can ascribe your human emotions and sense of morality to cattle. If you have 5,000 head of cattle in a 50 acre feedlot with all of the feed they can possibly eat, and an open gate to a 10,000 acre pasture knee deep in Coastal Bermuda. 100% 0f the cattle will be shoulder to shoulder in the feedlot. All they care about is what every other creature cares about, the most calories that can be consumed for the least amount expended. So, actually the feedlot is their paradise. I've worked on a dairy. Dairy cows don't go off to loaf in the pasture after being milked. They crowd around the entrance to the milking floor waiting for the next opportunity to get their feedbag on. CHIEF
  13. He gets his meat and dairy products from the store. Not from cruel feedlots and dairy farms. Didn't you know? CHIEF
  14. They are pulled straight from the freezer, and dropped in 375 degree oil for seven minutes. It’s foolproof. Iowa, Nebraska, and Kansas are in for a treat. They will have to add a dining room. CHIEF
  15. They are expanding east from Stephenville over to Granbury, at least that is what Austin Allsup told CHIEF Jr. Yesway is looking to expand the brand pretty hard. With CHIEF Jr. graduating, this could not have happened at a better time. Apparently they are going to build one right outside our back gate at the corner of Hwy. 144 and FM 2425 between Glen Rose and Granbury. One of the big stakeholders in Yesway (also the closest Yesway to me), lives in Graham, I leased his place for O&G back in 2015. CHIEF
  16. Tongan muscle fiber is just that much more dense. CHIEF
  17. So like a less skilled Jalon Milroe. I bet they would kill to get Eli Stowers back from New Mexico State. CHIEF
  18. My late FIL always received a copy of Jerry Scarborough’s newsletter. He was in constant amazement that I already knew much of the information. It took him a few years to realize that there was this website, Hornfans, where a bunch of us were acquiring this supposed insider knowledge that he had to pay for. CHIEF
  19. Was blind, but now I see 'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear and grace my fears relieved Might have to write a "contemporary" new verse to Amazing Grace. CHIEF
  20. I'm not up to snuff on 1950's Russian rock bands, or any Russian musicians from the 1950s for that matter. CHIEF
  21. I should have used the Smothers Brothers after watching that Ukrainian tank push those Ruskie's shit in by dragging their tank balls and burying them in their trenches. CHIEF
  22. DLR for sure. Earliest Van Halen is best Van Halen. CHIEF
  23. So it's like putting up our Van Halens against their Buddy Hollies? To use an analogy. CHIEF
  24. I remember several hundred pages back, when Russia was doing some nuclear saber rattling, it was mentioned that OSINT wasn't too concerned as they had not seen Russia pulling nuclear warheads from their storage facility. Do the Russians actually keep their nuclear warheads in centralized facilities and dole them out when put on high alert? NATO OSINT knows where these facilities are? Would it be possible to eliminate the threat of these facilities using non-NATO sabotage groups, like from Ukraine, Georgia, Armenia, and some of the Stans. That would leave the Russians with just a maritime threat with their subs. CHIEF
