  1. That is a 14 year old. Holy fuck.
  2. I'm surprised Taco Deli wasn't lumped in with these two in that article. All three overpriced, over-conceptualized tacos for day-drinking Circle C MILFs. It's kinda sad because I feel like the original Taco Deli on Spyglass was really good when they first opened 20 years ago...
  3. Scrolled back a few pages and didn't see mention of this, but I grabbed tickets to see the Drive By Truckers playing Southern Rock Opera at ACL Live. Pretty stoked for this one.
  4. That's a lot of fucking vowels.
  5. My original post was in jest more than anything else, but I forgot this place is filled will humorless aspies who fixate only on stats and facts...and can't abide any speculation. Btw, I already acknowledged the fact I don't think helicopter parents made the difference in his leaving, but could have made the decision easier if said parents and player are above and beyond the usual delusion. I know coaches have to say all sorts of things to land a commit, and sometimes backing up the living room talk just isn't possible...but some parents (and/or player) will never get that through their skull and would rather trash the coach (or coaches) and school. I will say this: if Bo gets his kid drafted then he is more of a DL witch than I ever realized. Wait. You were joking? You thought the shit you were typing was funny? Also, you don't need to respond to every single person calling you an idiot. And if a ton of people are calling you a boring dolt, maybe shut the fuck up. You don't need to respond to every single person calling you out, Derka.
  6. I made this fermented mango habanero hot sauce a few weeks ago. It’s fucking awesome. Tropical heat. It’s one jumbo mango, a Mediterranean orange pepper I got at central market, 13 habaneros, a large carrot, and a 2 inch piece of ginger. Fermented for two weeks. Blended with about 15 cloves of confit garlic. Added some of the fermenting brine and some of the garlic oil so that it emulsifies. Strained and bottled.
  7. I'm sure there are no helicopter parents at LSU.
  8. I'm a huge Colin Farrell fan. He's great in just about everything he does, especially when he's working with Martin McDonagh and Yorgos Lanthimos. I was also pissed when HBO didn't renew Perry Mason, so this might help fill the noir detective gap. Saw the first two episodes and really liked it. Excited about this one.
  9. I don't see how Worthy slips to the 3rd round. I don't see how Sanders is still taken in the 2nd. And I don't see Sweat slipping to the 4th even with his DUI. But wtf do I know...
  10. Weird way to close the post. Why would the opinions of Texas HS Football coaches be the first thing you feel you need to address when discussing how that would impact Alfred Collins and Vernon Broughton? I guess the inference is that the strong source is a Texas HS Football coach?
  11. There are 4 pages on this thread over two full seasons. So not a lot. Not that this forum is a perfect barometer. I thought the season was pretty good. It's a pretty good show. I generally enjoyed it, but I never said to myself "A new Tokyo Vice is on tonight! Can't wait to watch it!". Also, can't imagine the budget for this show being shot in Japan is helping make the case for a third season.
  12. What's more fun, if you're the driver, is to crack the passengers window, apply the parental lock, and then fart, slowly pulling the noxious gas your passengers way, And there's nothing he/she can do about it.
  13. I almost never see radar cops since COVID. On the one hand, radar cops make people drive safer, which is a good thing. On the other hand, I don't like getting speeding tickets.
  14. well, when you say it like that you seem like much less of a dickhead.
  15. we still have people judging other people who have cancer?
  16. And you do? I also wish him well, just not sure football is in his best interest. I don't either. But I'm not the one playing internet dad/internet doctor in this thread. You are.
  17. you don't know shit about fuck regarding his situation or medical diagnosis. he'll do what he wants to do and I'll wish him well.
  18. I can't believe it's been a quarter century since Freaks and Geeks first aired. Wow.
  19. You mean the two DLs from Michigan?
  20. Mick was the greatest frontman of all time. While "greatest" is subjective, this is also objectively true.
  21. Reading all that would be tantamount to kicking myself in the dick. No thanks.
  22. Not a Walsh recipe. I looked at about four different recipes and came up with what I thought would be good, but also would be easy. As far as store bought corn tortillas go, in Austin I like the El Milagro yellow corn tortillas that come in the cool paper sack. They don't have any preservatives (according to the package) and when you open the bag there's a noticeable rich masa smell. Of course, the downside is that they only come in packages of 30 and since they don't have preservatives they don't keep very long. And our family usually isn't eating 30 corn tortillas in less than a week. But I think they're much better than the HEB branded corn tortillas. If anyone has a recommendation on store-bought corn tortillas that you feel are better, I'm all ears.
  23. 1.5 cups long grain white rice. Toast rice in like 1/4 cup of vegetable oil until deep golden brown. Watch it and let it toast longer than you think you should, but make sure it doesn’t burnt. Add 1/4 of a finely diced yellow or white onion and sautee for a few mins on lower heat. Then add about 1.5 tablespoons of minced garlic and sautee like 30 seconds till fragrant. While you’re doing all that shit, in a separate saucepan bring 2 cups of chicken broth to almost a boil. Add that to the rice and onions and garlic right after you add the garlic. Also add 8oz of tomato sauce, a teaspoon or so of salt, about half a teaspoon of cumin, a few sprigs of cilantro, and a whole halved jalapeño. Cook on low for like 20 mins till done. Remove from heat but do not take off lid. Let sit for like 15 mins before fluffing. Remove japs and cilantro. That’s how I did it. Difference tonight was that I toasted the rice a little longer, heated the liquid/broth before adding to the rice, and I let it sit a lot longer than normal after removing from heat.
