On the flip side, it’s advertising that there is an attractive middle-aged lady worth millions about to be on the market. /surly

What's really fascinating to me, is that for all of Trump's ability and expertise at finding and engaging audiences both on his TV show and in real life, and giving them what he wants (witness a lot of his rallies), he really fucked up here, not understanding two unique groups of people: The conspiracy types. He and the folks around him do not understand these people at all, because the conspiracy types are just marks to Trump and Co., people to be grifted off of. If they were ants, Trump would be the kid with the magnifying glass. He's clearly confused why they aren't A) obeying his command to drop the topic and B) obsessed with it. These people exist around and outside of MAGA and are probably pretty close to single-issue voters. And whether they believe he is 100% in on the conspiracy to cover shit up, or that he's compromised in some way and has to go along with a cover-up, it doesn't matter to them because the outcome is the same - pedophiles/etc. are being covered up. In fact, him promising to release the files during the campaign, and now trying to cover up things after the binders given to right-wing influencers, and with Bondi's "Epstein client list sitting on my desk" bullshit is just more evidence in their minds that the conspiracy exists and goes all the way to the top of the government. Calling these people "weaklings" and claiming it was a Democrat hoax made things so much worse, because now they are pissed off - a lot of conspiracy nuts love conspiracies because in their minds, they know The Truth and it's like living in a Hollywood movie for them, like they are in on Major Shit, and the President of the United States is ridiculing them and claiming they are part of a hoax. The other group he doesn't understand is the vloggers/bloggers on the fringe (that have a large following), that are right now considered "right-wing" but again, like the conspiracy nuts, they exist around and outside of MAGA - at the end of the day, they aren't chasing MAGA because MAGA is comfortably watching Fox News. Not that they wouldn't like some viral moments and some shout-outs in the MAGA blogosphere or whatever, but they aren't competing with Fox News, they are competing with each other and with the truly fringe outlets (News Max, etc.). Now among this group, there are True Believers that fall into the first category, and they will act just like the first group above. But there are also pragmatic types that are just making a quick buck off of this group. They could give a shit about Epstein, but Epstein brings in the eyeballs and the advertising bucks. Trump is not doing them any favors whatsoever, so they aren't necessarily going to fall in line (Charlie Kirk being an exception). The pragmatics are chasing the buck and Epstein is going to bring in more than talking about Trump or Trump's other policies/changes. Trump calling these people crazy, weaklings, hoaxers, Democrats, etc. is only going to add fuel to the fire.

Could be worse. Could have been a Linkin Park concert, and some dude with his hands all over some Southwest Texas State cutie that worked at Subway, that he met a few hours earlier after breaking up with his girlfriend.

Because we are 12 and don’t want our parents catching us watching the fuzzy Cinemax channel? -
‘Member when Chris Pine was the big actor in the reboot Star Trek movies?

No matter whether you have the board in your back pocket, it shows extremely poor judgment to attended a Coldplay concert. Warren Buffet probably gave a TED talk about firing any executives who you think might attend a Coldplay concert.

Doesn't have Pedro Pascal but...

Holy shit, the guy that makes those movie pitch videos on YouTube is their CTO?

Technically, a Waffle House at 2 in the morning is not "public", and when things spilled over into the parking lot, it was still not technically "public". It's when things spilled over onto a city-owned sidewalk that they became "public".

Also, the fact that other employees were there makes me think they were an item at work. If your CEO is going to openly have an affair around other employees with the head of HR, yeah, fuck him, he's an arrogant dumbass.
-
If I was having an affair, I'd be paranoid about taking her to a small restaurant in Dripping Springs, let alone a fucking music concert with tens of thousands of people.
-
That's why I said they (well he, she was apparently divorced already) need to go the route of "I was not happy in my marriage, and I'm going to do the right thing and divorce my wife and be with Kristin" route. That takes it out of the midlife crisis realm and into the middle-aged people unhappy in relationships realm.

General Gaming Thoughts That Don't Deserve Their Own Thread
atomheartbevo replied to atomheartbevo's topic in Video Games
Netflix going to make an Assassin's Creed live-action series happen. Netflix's ‘Assassin's Creed' Live-Action TV Series Has (Finally) Been Officially Greenlit The Netflix series' logline reads: "Assassin's Creed is a high-octane thriller centered on the secret war between two shadowy factions - one set on determining mankind's future through control and manipulation, while the other fights to preserve free will. The series follows its characters across pivotal historical events as they battle to shape humanity's destiny." The Assassin's Creed TV show follows other gaming adaptations at Netflix, like Castlevania, Arcane, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners and the upcoming Splinter Cell: Deathwatch. "We've been fans of Assassin's Creed since its release in 2007. Every day we work on this show, we come away excited and humbled by the possibilities that Assassin's Creed opens to us," Wiener and Patino said in a joint statement. "Beneath the scope, the spectacle, the parkour and the thrills is a baseline for the most essential kind of human story - about people searching for purpose, struggling with questions of identity and destiny and faith. It is about power and violence and sex and greed and vengeance. "But more than anything, this is a show about the value of human connection, across cultures, across time," they continued. "And it's about what we stand to lose as a species, when those connections break. We've got an amazing team behind us with the folks at Ubisoft and our champions at Netflix, and we're committed to creating something undeniable for fans all over the planet." "When we first announced our partnership with Ubisoft in 2020, we set out with an ambitious goal to bring the rich, expansive world of Assassin's Creed to life in bold new ways," Peter Friedlander, Netflix's vice president of scripted series, said in a statement. "Now, after years of dedicated collaboration, it's inspiring to see just how far that vision has come. Guided by the deft hands of Roberto Patino and David Wiener, the team has carefully crafted an epic adventure that both honors the legacy of the Assassin's Creed franchise and invites longtime fans and newcomers alike to experience the thrill of the Brotherhood as never before." In addition to Wiener and Patino, executive producers on the streaming series include Gerard Guillemot, Margaret Boykin, Austin Dill for Ubisoft Film & Television, and Matt O'Toole. "We are so excited to work alongside Roberto, David, and our Netflix partners to bring this beloved franchise to series," Boykin, executive producer and head of content at Ubisoft Film & Television, said. "We look forward to delivering an experience that speaks to the heart of what fans love about Assassin's Creed, while introducing its unforgettable worlds and timeless themes to new audiences worldwide." -
