  1. Amen. When I heard the nuts talking about Oprah Winfrey and Tom Hanks were trafficking and draining children of their adrenochrome to "stay young" all the while Oprah and Tom look their age, I just don't know how to dream up something that breathtakingly stupid. But the people with the balls to actually try and push that kind of stuff made plenty of money. Of course, you don't have to be as insane with the flat earth stuff, but like the Apollo deniers, the flat earth field is mature and saturated with grifters, and so you have to come up with something original enough that nobody else has thought of it. Which is where shit like the Oprah and Tom Hanks stuff comes in. That's some originality. Hats off to the 4channers/8channers who pulled that off. My kids are expecting a trip to Disney World within the next year, along with some other trips. I would love to come up with a conspiracy theory that will fund any and all trips like that, but not something that will get me hauled into court for defamation. I should see how the hollow Earth folks are doing...
  2. Oh fuck, you're saying Santa may have to run down the nearest Target or Wally-World?
  3. It doesn’t have to go there - the fact is that historically, pullouts usually don’t go very well, whether it be Vietnam (for us or the French), Afghanistan for the Russians (or Brits or us), various conflicts in Africa (US, Brits, French, the Belgians, although the French seemed to have done it the best in Africa), or some places in South America, or Susan Hofstetter in Galveston in 1994 when her husband came home from work early. Had I studied French military history in Africa, I might have affected a better withdrawal in that last incident, and not left such a lasting memory on her husband, her kids, or the Galveston County Sheriff’s Department.
  4. The grifting seems to be strong with the Flat Earthers and we need to partake of this.
  5. If you had a game where those two fought one another, I know which one I’m putting money on.
  6. Thought it was about Paris Hilton.
  7. Nope. If you want to kill somebody without getting caught, get them drunk/drugged, and dump them on train tracks near a small town. You can be miles away when it happens.
  8. We'll see if it rivals Hitler's Hemorrhoids or even Tokio Jokio where Bugs Bunny shoved a Samurai sword up Hirohito's ass. I may have imagined those...
  9. I thought Cavill's Superman was fine, it was just the fuckery going on at WB/DC that was the problem. They wanted to spin up their own cinematic universe without putting the time into world building like the MCU did. Thankfully for them, even if the Arrowverse TV shows and the Snyderverse movies aren't a part of this, a lot more people are now familiar with these characters so they can arguably skip a lot of origin stories. Given the current leadership and what they've done with their channels and animation divisions, I'm a bit concerned that unless this makes a bazillion dollars (it should) that Gunn will find himself micromanaged by the Powers That Be to hell and back with future projects. Maybe they realize that this is their last chance and are willing to let Gunn swing for the fences, but I still see them fucking over some of the things that made WB what it is. Fuck it, why not, it's a bit of a flex on Gunn's part but i'llallowit.gif
  10. A24 normally makes great trailers
  11. God bless twitter for popping up an ad for this keychain immediately after the video.
  12. Are we gonna talk about the first confirmed severe case in the US? Copy these pages, as they will probably be deleted later in January. CDC Confirms First Severe Case of H5N1 Bird Flu in the United States | CDC Newsroom Thankfully and surprisingly, it wasn't in Texas, it was in *checks notes* Louisiana. The best way to prevent H5 bird flu is to avoid exposure whenever possible. Infected birds shed avian influenza A viruses in their saliva, mucous, and feces. Other infected animals may shed avian influenza A viruses in respiratory secretions and other bodily fluids (e.g., in unpasteurized cow milk or 'raw milk'). As a general precaution, whenever possible, people should avoid contact with sick or dead animals, in particular wild birds, and poultry. For individuals with direct/close contact with wild birds or sick or dead poultry or other animals, wear recommended personal protective equipment (PPE). Wild birds can be infected with avian influenza A viruses even if they don't look sick. Do not touch surfaces or materials (e.g., animal litter or bedding material) contaminated with saliva, mucous, or animal feces from wild or domestic birds or other animals with confirmed or suspected avian influenza A virus infection. For more information on H5 bird flu in the U.S. and CDC's response, including regularly updated case counts, visit the H5 Bird Flu: Current Situation page.
  13. Yeah, those 50-somethings that were being told how to load a Kalashnikov were probably not bankers or analysts or computer programmers from Moscow.
  14. Ridiculous that Leon would have to look through his couch cushions for change to pay off the penalty.
  15. Or in a public square in Kyiv, but either one is okay.

  17. Or they want to fap to Ellie and Joel from The Last of Us.
  18. Already out in limited release for Acdemy Awards eligibility. on.y a dozen official reviews but looking good https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/the_day_the_earth_blew_up_a_looney_tunes_movie Thankfully another company has the distribution rights so MaxChipandJoannaGainesCNNWarnerTrueCrime can’t cancel or gut it like they did with the Cartoon Network and their animation offerings. And ironically it was meant for Max first until the animation part was gutted.
  19. Yep. Extremely audacious. Even had a Kevin Conroy and Ezra Miller. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crisis_on_Infinite_Earths_(Arrowverse) Heres the episode to watch to prep but it’s a lot And this is the actual Elseworld episodes and then Crisis episodes https://screenrant.com/how-to-watch-crisis-on-infinite-earths-order/ It’s daunting but I’m still intrigued because it was so bold for the CW to do.
  20. The Arrowverse stuff with Superman was kind of interesting - they did Crisis on Infinite Earths across all of their shows and even had Brandon Rough’s Man of Steel take. I loved the comic from the 80s, so it’s kind of on my radar to watch (but just the crisis stuff, not the entire with if the Arrowverse).
  21. It would have gotten a lot of Americans killed, but would have stopped the Warsaw Pact from happening in the long run. But we had no idea the Warsaw Pact would happen.
