  1. Taking away his Tuesday night dinner is harsh, but I'll allow it
  2. It should be a bigger story that all of these third party candidates are coincidentally represented by conservative lawyers.
  3. I know someone who named their new baby Melania a few years ago. Tempted to ask when they’re planning to change her name to Laura.
  4. Yep, this isn’t for you. But if it makes even a few lifelong Republicans that hate Trump feel more comfortable pulling the lever for the other side, then it’s a win. A big outcry against it, though, will backfire. “He’s endorsing your candidate and you still attack him! Why should I?” would be a logical reaction. Just ignore it and hope it resonates outside our comfortable political circles.
  5. To be very clear, less than 5% of the population has any idea what this means. “Weird” emerges yet again.
  6. And to be clear, my post isn't necessarily meant to be an optimistic one. I think there is definitely a lot of downside to a not stellar performance by Kamala. But as I said earlier, I think we will have a clearer view of where this is all headed after tonight... and the opportunity for good news is definitely there.
  7. Fuck everyone in your second paragraph. They’re lost, make no attempt to target them. But there are a LOT of people who still don’t really know who Kamala is. People who would never in a million years think to tune into a political convention, people who have never heard of Tim Walz or JD Vance, but will make an effort to watch tonight and will be presented with their two voting options side-by-side for the first time. First impressions matter, and it will be Kamala’s one chance to convince the normies that she could be President. Also, this will be the first time in 8 years that Trump will be debating against someone clearly mentally sharper than he is. None of us have any idea what that will look like, or what the ramifications in general perception might be. I’d pretty passionately argue that tonight is the single most important night between now and November.
  8. Aside from the Comey letter, I’d argue his “you’d be in jail” comment to Hillary during one of the debates was the single biggest moment in the 2016 election cycle. It tickled the same emotions as a walk off home run for any person who had spent the last few decades being told to hate Hillary. Luckily I don’t think he’s sharp enough to replicate that this go-round.
  9. Genuinely believe you will be able to accurately forecast the election in 24 hours. Anything other than a clear win for Kamala tonight will set in motion the path for another Trump victory. The good thing is I think she has it in her, but she can’t let Trump turn it into another “are these really the two best options we have?” event.
  10. This is really the perfect post to illustrate what everyone is saying. Performative outrage and purity tests are more important than actually getting shit done. Instead of recognizing the benefits to having someone like AOC enter the inner circle of the Democratic Party, she is vilified for daring to find common ground with those closer to the center. When words are more important than progress (lol “progress”ives), then you become extremely susceptible to sources who tell you what you want to hear. It’s how you accidentally end up linking posts to RT without realizing it.
  11. The far right possess inherently evil beliefs. The far left possess a belief system that makes them susceptible to become useful idiots to bad actors. Both are intense threats to the future of this country.
  12. Yesterday: Kamala losing the popular vote Today: Kamala winning NC by 3 This really is an election where you can frame it however the fuck you want.
  13. "reports now show" doing an incredible amount of heavy lifting in that sentence (but yeah, some wild stuff going around MAGA twitter right now).
  14. Oh absolutely. It was just jarring to read that breakdown by Gerry and see zero five starts. But you are correct, they will get there.
  15. Very unfortunate that on3 currently only has 15 5-stars, considering we have prospects #16, 20, 21, and 22.
  16. The image of a College Station cop pulling up the aggy football website on his phone while questioning TJ is killing me.
  17. She's a 51 year old country singer that hasn't been relevant in a decade and a half. So, yeah, of course she's MAGA.
  18. I guarantee that any casual fan tuning into our games has no idea our RB room has been decimated, which has to be the greatest compliment a position coach can receive. Take a bow, Tashard.
