  1. Think of the election as a Mack Brown led Longhorn football team. We start off the season with a few decent performances, nothing flashy. We are ranked fine in the polls, but our fanbase thinks we should be higher. Our rivals claim that we are overrated and haven’t played anyone. Deep down, we know that we have been holding our best plays for the OU game. We know that if we just get a chance to show our stuff on a national stage, everyone else will see what we see in this team, and we will finally get the national respect we deserve. Then the OU game happens. Our play-calling is shit (GDGD). Most of the negative commentary surrounding the team turns out to be correct and we get blown out. Yes, we will always support the team. And yes, our rivals will always talk shit. But the impression made to the general public and poll voters that day will stick with us for the rest of the season, even if they didn’t specifically watch that game. The narrative has been set. Last week’s debate was the OU game.
  2. Yep, to be clear this was no attempt at a humblebrag or anything. It was a shocking realization at how simple it was (don’t check Twitter) to be insulated from all the bad news, and that the majority of Americans live this way. Soon enough, the “bad news” will move from words on the internet to real life application, but by then it will be to late. Democrats gotta figure out a way to break through to those that don’t live on Twitter, to make the SCOTUS takeover as ubiquitous as “HILLARY’S EMAILS” or “HUNTER’S LAPTOP.” We’re careening off the cliff right now, yet the majority of the country has no idea.
  3. Due to a family vacation (and honestly a mental health break) I’ve purposefully removed myself from social media/twitter/etc for the last handful of days. My only real updates on current events have come from periodic visits to this board. The takeaways: 1) the secret to happiness is ignorance 2) it is remarkably easy to check out from all of this and not be in tune to the threats currently facing our country. I don’t know the fix, but yesterday was potentially a pivot point in the course of this country and I guarantee that the majority of Americans have absolutely no idea
  4. That makes it even weirder. Yeah man, I’m sure the crowd understood the reference.
  5. I know aggy never lies, cheats, or steals, but the Yankees haven’t played a home game since June 25.
  6. The simplest answer is usually the correct one when dealing with aggy. They wanted to brag that they hired a sitting head coach as an assistant. Period.
  7. When do you think the country realizes that “lifetime” appointment is technically something the citizenry can control? Obviously not advocating for this, but historically brazen power grabs like this have been met with violence.
  8. This is an embarrassing way to learn that “Smith Orogbo” is his full name and this isn’t a Jaxon Smith-Njigba situation, like I assumed.
  9. I mean, stealing aggy’s entire staff was funny but I’m fairly certain that finding a spot for Tulo on Schloss’s staff was the dream scenario for every Longhorn fan when the rumors started.
  10. Given the theme of their other two announced hired, that P5 head coach is definitely David Pierce.
  11. Objectively hilarious that this photo exists.
  12. Don’t forget that when the news broke, they were trying to do this with Weiner and then Cain. Earley’s emergence as the “secret sauce” is simply process of elimination.
  13. I’ve seen coaches literally kill kids and not have former player parents get this mad. Genuinely, this reaction is one of the most disturbing things I’ve ever witnessed. Boo hoo, this coach led all of your children to the greatest athletic achievement of any of their lives but was sometimes kinda mean to them. Give me a break. I’d be mortified if I was any of these players, but instead they’re all just emboldened by the most pathetic fanbase in college sports. Disgraceful.
  14. “MLB interest” is my favorite tidbit. He will never be asked to elaborate on that claim when it obviously turns out to be bullshit, but he’ll keep repeating it because it makes them feel warm and fuzzy.
  15. If we got that Joe last night, this election would be over.
  16. "Come to aggy, where our players cry on Twitter if you are mean to them."
  17. This is the point where I would kindly ask my mother to shut the fuck up.
  18. I realize the answer is likely just "because aggy" but why do they think they are getting Earley back?
  19. I mean, it's way too early to be making any claims like this.
  20. So, to be clear, this 5'7, 155lb dude with eleven career extra base hits who is described as his own mother as having "unquestionable" speed and base running abilities and is a "spark plug is asked to bunt by his coach in a pitchers duel, it works and he ends up scoring.. and then the mom whines that coach isn't letting him play the way he excels?
  21. In all sincerity, anyone watching last night via a translator likely had a severely different experience than the rest of us.
  22. "As has been revealed over the past few days, Schloss doesn't care about his players" DIRECT QUOTE FROM THE SAME FUCKING INTERVIEW SHE IS REFERENCING:
  23. What the fuck happened to him last night?
  24. A .36% shift from 2020 would be enough to lose both Arizona and Georgia.
