  1. Except it doesn’t. It’s funny because you’re sitting there making a positive statement without evidence, which means it can be dismissed without evidence. I have no burden to bear, yet I can argue this issue without that burden far better than you can with it. Here’s what the first amendment says: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. Translation: free speech has to do with being criminally prosecuted for views the government doesn’t like. Anything other than that by definition has nothing to do with free speech. Is anyone calling for Rogan to be prosecuted in any municipal, state or federal venue merely on grounds for what he says? No Is anyone asking for him to be arrested merely on grounds for what he says? No Is anyone asking for him to be fined by any government entity merely on grounds for what he says? No If anyone is suggesting Spotify cancel his show and boot him from their platform, that’s not an infringement of his right to free speech. Wanna know how I know that? Let’s suppose that happens. Does anyone seriously think that Rogan is gonna pursue litigation against them on those grounds? Fuck off with that pissy little chickenshit noise. There are very few people asking for Spotify to cancel his show in the first place, and those who are merely are doing so because they want to see the backlash that would inevitably come with it. I’ve yet to see a single person say he should be cancelled merely because they don’t like what he says…and even if they did, that still wouldn’t be a call to repress his right to speak. So again, fuck off with that noise. The bulk of his detractors are suggesting Spotify should put a warning out that Covid-19 is discussed on this show, the host is not a medical expert, and nothing he or any of his guests say should be interpreted as medical advice. That’s certainly not a violation of free speech either. Nor would it be if they were asking Spotify to straight up edit his content. You’re gonna lose this argument no matter how you go about it. You’re basically playing 8-ball and you’ve either sank the 8-ball prematurely, you sank the 8-ball into a pocket that wasn’t the one you called, or you sank the 8-ball and the cue ball went in with it. Any which way, you lose. You are never going to be right in referring to this bullshit “controversy” as a free speech issue as long as no one is calling for action against Joe Rogan by any level of government. And yes, what you really are calling for is that Rogan be afforded the right to say what he says unchallenged in any arena of debate. A few things about that: That’s not a right that exists in the constitution Therefore, no American ever has had that right Real adults don’t advocate that Only dishonest people advocate that So enough with this soft pussy fucking bullshit and address the issue. If you’re not going to do that, why are you here? You are asserting baseless speculation as if it were a matter of fact, which means you’re lying. Ah yes, a Hitler projection.
  2. This has nothing to do with free speech, so…”nice try dumbass.” You bro’s really need to stop using that phrase because for well over a generation, you’ve proven to everyone with a brain stem that you haven’t the foggiest clue what it even is.
  3. He really thinks he’s that much of a fucking hero
  4. Were you in the pool?
  5. https://www.dictionary.com/browse/consequence At this point, me posting that URL was necessary. That’s fucking embarrassing
  6. Neil Young pulled his music because he didn’t want to be associated with a platform that included Joe Rogan in it. It’s absolutely shocking that you’re struggling this badly to understand that he was literally telling them “if you want to have Rogan on your platform, fine, but don’t include me on it as well.”
  7. Gary was wookin pa nub in awl da wong pwaces
  8. Yeah and Martin Cabello would be the secretary of education
  9. So you don't know who the planners are, nor who tweeted the video first... and you say this... and this... and this...all as if it was "obviously" a matter of fact. So you don't know who the planners are, you don't know who's behind releasing all these videos, but you know that there's a plan involved and it has to do with "cancelling" him...as if it's all an obvious matter of fact. You don't know who released it, yet you know why they did it... Ok.
  10. Even if you totally cast aside what @Mdhorn just said, who are the planners and what is the plan?
  11. Right, but did you tell someone who was an expert in their field that s/he was a dumbass idiot retard that didn't know what the fuck they were talking about when they clearly did and you clearly didn't? "Asshole" doesn't accurately describe that. That's what I'd call "ultracrepidarians with an attitude."
  12. It has nothing to do with alignment, and if you weren't so caught up in this transparent display of binary thinking and projecting that mentality onto others, you'd have caught onto that. You'd have caught onto the fact that our collective issue with Rogan is that his views on COVID-19 vaccinations, medicinal therapies for COVID-19, etc are flat out wrong to the point where they are dangerous. If people were to heed what he says about it, we'd be in a great deal of trouble and shit's not going to get any better. That has jack shit to do with what "team" he "cheerleads" for. You would know that if you yourself weren't so transparently caught up in that bit of falderal, which is also very likely why you deliberately refuse to address those points that have been put to you multiple times on just this thread. Instead off addressing them, you resort to diverting everything to the make believe side of things, mostly via pretending to be a psychologist, and even on that, avoiding the burden of proof like a vampire avoids garlic. If you don't give us a reason to believe you, we have no reason to believe you, and not having a reason to believe you is the best reason not to believe you. So come back when you actually have something worthy of consideration. You've not added anything worthwhile, and until you do, we're moving on. Honestly I never used it, even well before I knew Rogan was on it. Had no need to.
  13. I only listen when I come across something that indicates that he said some crazy shit or one of his guests did. I listen to it, and invariably it turns out that he/they did. That’s not even my issue. My issue is that a lot of people such as yourself take this falderal seriously. You’re transparently projecting.
  14. And what I just told you is that you could strip all that away and it doesn’t detract one bit from the overarching point. Like I said, you’re not very good at this paying attention thing and now you’re grasping at straws to keep the hope for this puny little “gotcha” alive. It’s not working. 1. The word is “equivalence,” 2. My identity politics? That’s….cute.
  15. You’re really bad at this whole “paying attention” thing. No one here really gives a shit about his character. He could be a saint, and he could be the biggest piece of shit on this planet. Neither one of those excuses or changes the fact that he peddles misinformation/lies either directly or indirectly via his guests who spew bullshit while he just sits there like a bump on a log saying “hmmm interesting.” Whether that’s motivated by a shitty character or profit motive or identity politics or whatever really isn’t the point and I’m not about to let myself dabble in that pseudo-psychology falderal. What I judge him on is the output of his show, which contrary to what you believe, is not contestable. He peddles bullshit, and when he doesn’t, his guests peddle bullshit. People are free to make whatever comments about his character either way, but 1) it’s dishonest to assert baseless speculation as if it were a matter of fact 2) the aforementioned things are exactly what he does. So nice try at that little “gotcha.
  16. That's a nice little fairy tale that seems to run popular in these parts. How's that?
  17. Then it's beyond the scope for you to say that his behavior was "out of character."
  18. Do you know him personally?
  19. Ah yes the illegitimate election of the Kenyan born communist Muslim that worshipped at the altar of Saul Alinsky.
  20. “But he was talking tough and confidently!!! That’s why we believe him!!!”
  21. And if anyone doubts this, just watch that bullshit genetic nonsense and juxtapose it with Sanjay Gupta. Tell me that he's handling both conversations the same way and you're a fucking liar.
  22. Been over 20 years since we last played them. Looking forward to it.
