  1. He could go to jail tomorrow and still get 80 million votes. Priority number one is to defeat him in the election in the few states that matter. He's going to be convicted and the money judgments against him will be affirmed. There's no doubt there in my mind, it's going to take time though. He just can't become president again despite how horrible half the people in this country have become.
  2. OSU will never win a national title in a meaningful sport and the Jones family will always own the Dallas Cowboys, so yeah, I honestly can’t think of a realistic moment that’ll be any more joyous than when the fat fuck dies. I hope it happens on stage and he shits himself and sprays it all over the front few rows of his crowd.
  3. Let me guess, she thinks the world is ending because gay people and ‘bortions. Stupidest fucking people.
  4. Definitely excited to take 2 from OU. They hit 12 home runs and still lost the series. We hit 8 I think. They walked in a bunch of runs today. Just a weird series. I think our pitching is looking good but then again 12 damn home runs. The rest of the season is gonna be crazy in the standings.
  5. No, it was a few years later. I was in the concourse that game and saw the beams shaking.
  6. Is that what that is? I always thought it meant rock on.
  7. For 91 indictments and a half dozen civil cases they are moving faster than what I would expect, and only one finding a bad judge is pretty decent, there way more than that on the bench. The problem isn’t the legal system, he’ll get convicted, and the judgments will be affirmed. The problem is that 80 million shitstain Americans will still vote for him and an entire political party hails him as their undisputed king. No legal system can fix that, if that’s what the mob wants, well then, just end this country and let states figure out if they want to be democracies or dictatorships. I’ll be moving to a place where the majority are willing to act like civilized adults.
  8. Gottlieb is cool, except when OSU needs basketball coach and he uses his radio show to lobby for the job, dividing the fan base between people who think people who want to coach should go out and fucking coach, and idiots who think he should be given the job because he’s an alum. The latter is much larger and vocal than should ever be expected. Goddamn, this is definitely the right thread.
  9. I work on a very high floor and rarely felt them during the day. The scariest one was when my daughter was maybe 2 and in the bathtub and when it hit it popped like a shotgun and the water started swishing around and she was crying in a way I distinctly recall being genuine fear. It was one of the bigger ones, would have been 2014 or 2015. Not bad overall but man that moment it hit was scary. The videos from Taiwan are terrifying.
  10. This fucking asshole.
  11. This fucking asshole throwing a football in the dugout. Damn I hate ou.
  12. OSU used to designate OU or UT, whichever was home, as a “premium” game you could only get with a season ticket. It was to get more season tickets sold, not to slight the opponent. Our fans hated it more than anyone else. They could still be found pretty easy on stubhub. We haven’t done that in a long time since season tickets and attendance have been strong on their own.
  13. A few athletes making a vocal stand would help, but UT, aggy, et al, aren't going to be hurting for recruits because of this, and it wouldn't matter all that much to the assholes in the legislature. It's going to take Fortune 500 companies saying they will leave to make any sort of a mark. But they might have to pay more taxes elsewhere, not to mention the magats in their board rooms, so ain't nothin' gonna happen.
  14. Damn, kinda makes clear that UT really had to can him, for those still on the fence.
  15. Tang would be pretty underwhelming for UA, but might also be a sign that the 1994 championship is far enough in the past to not really matter anymore.
  16. My sister moved to Bentonville 20 years ago and it definitely felt like a small rural area near a college town. It's changed a ton since then, in large part to Walmart and the Walton's trying to keep young professionals longer term, and to generally attract more economic development. It's worked, the Bentonville town square is very active these days and feels modern. It's still not a place I'd go out of my way to live, I prefer more centralized cities, but if something arose, I would give it serious consideration. I think the area is a lot like Tulsa on the cr scale, still overwhelmingly conservative, but plenty of pockets of more progressive thinkers, if that's your preference, especially in Fayetteville in and around the university (last time I walked the area lots of rainbow flags and similar political yard signs). I think it's still considered a big time job, their 1994 national championship was a long time ago, but not like their 1960's football championship that feels like ancient history.
  17. Did Petrino really refuse a morality clause? He planning to dip his dick in the company pussy again?
  18. I was in the upper concourse leaving that game when it struck. The exposed metal cross beams were shaking pretty drastically. I was drunk and in super happy mood so it didn't occur to me that it was somewhat serious.
  19. It's the exact same metrics the rights uses when praising their own presidents, and when others add nuance, are called libtards. So fuck the right playing the same game and thinking they're scoring points. Just showing your ass, as usual.
  20. That's fine, and I'm sure there are a dozen legitimate reasons (or no reason, play who you want to play), but "they only allotted our fans 6,000 tickets" is a super weird reason to cite.
  21. Such a weird rant, but okay I guess. I can assure you the athletic department doesn't think that way. I know there are more politics among the Texas schools than in other areas, and that would be a way more prominent reason if UT decides not to schedule in-state schools for a while.
  22. Are you seriously suggesting that Baylor and Tech should be required to allot half their stadium for UT fans? That's not how it works, the closest thing is to move those games to neutral NFL sites. If those schools don't sell out to their own fans, UT fans can eat them up. The University of Tulsa doesn't have to allot OSU fans 25,000 seats for their stadium to be 3/4 orange when we play there. I know you have some serious hatred for everyone who isn't UT, but there are more legitimate gripes than "they should give us more tickets." That one is super weird.
  23. Isn’t a lot of that about Texas being Texas? The big dog, the Jones’, the Yankees, etc? Embrace the hate, it means you’re good enough to be with hating, a tale as old as sports. Al is spot on, Northwestern and Purdue have never faced relegation by Ohio State and Michigan threatening to leave. When ratings based payouts are proposed (and it’s gonna happen) they’ll grumble as fans will do, but when the alternative is “we can just leave and start a new super conference” they’ll accept it as necessary to stay in the club. The ISU and OSU fans that are paying attention know the financial realities, but there will always be factions that aren’t digging into the details and will default to “Texas is so greedy.” It is what it is, you still have better athletes and more money, we just don’t want to be CUSA.
