  1. I’m sure these multi billion international Fortune 500 financial firms are just begging to staff their tens of thousands of jobs with only white people, but are just so unfairly treated. I could never imagine in my lifetime that being an open racist wouldn’t only be socially acceptable but revered. I hate that my kids are going to live in a world where each of their accomplishments will be questioned by half the population as DEI. Way worse than even I’ve faced. Or as fatty would say “fuck them kids.”
  2. That's a pretty meh hire for a place like Louisville. The OSU boards are melting down because we haven't made a hire yet, I can't imagine what UL fans are thinking with that one since they thought they were gonna get a major hire from the upper ranks of head coaches.
  3. So you don't like selzer or topo specifically? The former makes sense, the latter does not. I bought a soda stream and just add lemon and/or lime juice. Way cheaper and just as refreshing.
  4. When I drive through busy tunnels in the northeast I do have a fear of a wreck or traffic jam that kills the ventilation and everyone dies of carbon monoxide poisoning.
  5. I'm just sick of people blaming Dak for McCarthy's incompetence (and Garrett before him). That Green Bay game was 100% coaching. LeFleur knows how to do it, McCarthy is a fat piece of shit. Defense wasn't anywhere near their receivers. Meanwhile, our receivers are all covered, an no adjustment. Just mindboggling how a coach can be so incapable of even trying to adjust when the opponent comes out hot. The fact that McCarthy wasn't fired that evening is why this franchise is fucked, forever. The owner is fucking pathetic.
  6. Sounds like fear of flying, completely irrational when you know the statistics. The most dangerous thing any of us do is get in a car, period. I've read that fear of flying in particular has more to do with having no control over the machine. Maybe it's the same being on a bridge? Even though, again, most accidents involve things out of your control, i.e. some dumbass on their phone running a red light. The only bridge I cross regularly is over the Arkansas River which is non-navigable. I'm also surprised how many on here have that fear.
  7. Sounds like a prove it year, but as long as fat fuck is coaching well either make the playoffs again and get overwhelmingly out coached in another playoff game, or miss the playoffs altogether. So who fucking cares. Free agency after the season and 6 wins the next year, if we’re lucky, with Lance. All in my ass. The coach sucks, no qb is gonna overcome a complete lack of game planning or adjustment.
  8. I haven’t been since the 2013 Cotton Bowl. Equally disappointing.
  9. Yup, XFL return rate was 90%, NFL was 22%. This will mean way more returns. I like it. I also like changing tackling techniques for fewer injuries. I do think at some point defenses should be given some additional advantages since the tackling changes have limited defense. I’d allow dbs more ability to touch and slow down the wide receivers. It might also reduce receivers getting blown up across the middle and encourage more emphasis in running games. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/39812700/nfl-owners-approve-massive-revamp-kickoff-play
  10. Jerryworld is nice but I absolutely hate getting in and out of there and Arlington sucks shit. I have no interest in their fake Live whatever chain restaurant gimmick. What pisses me off is all the money they keep pumping into the Cotton Bowl for one fucking game. They should have just passed the tax and built Jerryworld there. Not only OU-Texas but Dallas Cowboys at the state fair. I lived in Dallas at the time and voted for it, when it failed the city started to lose its luster for me when deciding whether to stay there for work or move to a smaller market. Fuck Jerry Jones either way.
  11. Princeton as a 15 seed beating Arizona and making the sweet sixteen last year is way more interesting than seeing 8th place OU as an 11 seed even if they made the sweet sixteen, which is doubtful. The intrigue with the small conference champs is that they haven’t played many P5 teams and if they did it was early before their conference season. Nobody really knows how good they are against better competition. The tourney gives them that chance and every year we see one make a run. OU might have upset Alabama early but who cares, they showed in a Big 12 season that they were mediocre as hell. In 2018 OSU swept KU (who went on to the final four) in the regular season and was the first team out. I wasn’t mad at the aq’s I was mad at the selection committee, but we were only slightly above average anyway. That was the year 16 seed UMBC beat 1 seed UVA and 11 seed Loyola Chicago made the final four. Way more interesting than seeing OSU display its mediocrity as a 10 seed.
  12. The plaintiff here is also the state, not an individual, and I think much of the judgment is fines and pentalties, not for restitution, so securing the plaintiff in their ability to collect works differently. The size of the judgment is also uniquely high, that also probably plays a role. I'm not too concerned with any shenanigans on this one.
  13. First, he didn't mention TV ratings, he's talking about competitiveness, and is so very wrong. A lower level conference tournament champion is more intriguing than the 8th or 9th place finisher in the Big 12/ACC/SEC. Also, the tuning in late only if it's an upset alert would be true regardless. The 1/16, 2/15, 3/14, etc. games are usually blowouts, so tuning in late only for upset alert would be true either way, doesn't make any difference if the lower seed is conference champ Stetson or 9th place Kansas State. An upset would be just as rare, but there is a ton of attention when its an Oral Roberts or St. Peters. Regardless, it was a dumb thing to say, especially when the SEC did so poorly in the first round. If you want to argue that there are too many D1 conferences, I'm open to that discussion, but I doubt there is a viable solution, especially if it requires excluding certain conferences.
  14. She's has a much bigger platform than randos on instagram using hashtags. Of course she couldn't do anything to get her out of prison directly, but supporting her former player should be expected. She didn't because she's in a certain cloak room faction that decided she's gay, black, and vocal about both, meaning fuck her let Putin do what he wants. Fuck Mulkey, and fuck everyone who used Griner's situation as a platform to be assholes.
  15. I can't imagine she'd be this defensive if its just about being verbally abusive to players. It's either physical abuse or verbal abuse using slurs. Or maybe something worse. I hope it's bad enough that she actually faces some repercussions for no other reason that she's a complete cunt.
  16. Yeah, the number was massive, and I don't think there are much shenanigans on that one. I expect the appeals court to reduce the number somewhat anyway, but he's still fucked. It'll be extra hilarious and pathetic though if he can't get a bond for that amount either, so stay tuned.
  17. Yeah, I don't believe much of anything anymore. Bill Haisten at the Tulsa World ran with this, after an article last week that said Steve Alford had accepted an offer in principle prior to the weekend. The source also is from CBS where Doug Gottlieb works and who is annoyingly advocated on his show for the job like he did 7 years ago. If you want to coach Doug, go fucking coach, don't expect a Big 12 job right off the bat just because you played here. There are also lots of good candidates this cycle. I'm not too worried. Ben McCullom of DII NW Missouri State is a name that keeps coming up. I'm not real thrilled with the risk, but wouldn't hate that hire, and I think he would say yes pretty quick, from what I've seen. Danny Sprinkle, Stee Lutz, and Pat Kelsey are also names being mentioned, and none would be a bad hire. As far as pecking order, yeah we've stunk for 20 fucking years, the shine tends to dissipate after that much time. WVU is at least a peer program and all else being equal, there are reasons to take that job over other peer jobs, or not, but any suggestion that we're significantly lower is just false. We're on par with pretty much any job outside the bluebloods and mid-tier programs that have had success. The talent pool is pretty deep, it's a good year to make a hire. If we hire some no name assistant again that wasn't on anyones radar, I'll come back, eat crow, and stew in my own misery for the next several years.
  18. I know she works with plenty of Black people, but this is the face of a person who says the n word a lot at home.🏠
  19. She thinks that Uncle Ruckus is the protagonist in Boon Docks, doesn’t she.
  20. Their literal existence is to be a public figure. Nothing else. They don’t govern, they don’t negotiate on state visits, they exist, period. I cannot comprehend what would have been wrong with a press release several months ago: “The Princess is being treated for cancer, please keep her in your thoughts, and we ask for privacy at this time.” There, the gossips will still gossip, but the truth is out. Also, again because their only job is to be famous, shouldn’t she use this for cancer awareness and fundraising? I just don’t understand why people think they are private citizens.
  21. "That just tells you that the bandwidth inside the top 50 is highly competitive," Sankey said. "We are giving away highly competitive opportunities for automatic qualifiers [from smaller leagues], and I think that pressure is going to rise as we have more competitive basketball leagues at the top end because of expansion." https://www.tennessean.com/story/sports/college/SEC/2024/03/22/sec-greg-sankey-ncaa-tournament-basketball-automatic-qualifier-march-madness-record/73074108007/
  22. Sankey should probably stick to football and hold back on the basketball shit talk, lol!
  23. Wasn’t Sankey just saying that auto qualifiers take too many spots from sec sec sec? lolz
