  1. I'l just wait to watch the highlights Casey posts on social media.
  2. I like Thomas as your keeper too. My favorite analysts are the CBS crew and Chris Harris. https://www.cbssports.com/fantasy/football/rankings/ppr/top200/ https://www.harrisfootball.com/top-200-ranks-draft Both guys are a value, but Thomas is probably the better value. Chris Harris especially loves Thomas this year and has him #28 standard/#25 PPR overall.
  3. I think the last time I bought Madden was when I played in a Shaggy online league close to 10 years ago. This doesn't make me feel good about NCAA at all. If anything, watch the first ten minutes or so when he mocks the Youtube Madden shill. "THE PACK ANIMATIONS ARE FIIIIRE!" fucking lol.
  4. I'd like to have a twosome with portrait painting Nadja.
  5. So he spends a week getting mocked on social media, maybe needled by former teammates over texts/DM's, and due to his mega thin skin, gets super duper butthurt over being made to look like a fool. Then decides to grandstand for two minutes on a topic from which the rest of the world has moved on. And declares "no more Texas questions" even though it seems nobody asked him one this week. Don't wanna crush a college kid for having a bad moment in a press conference, but yeesh. It's become glaringly obvious that he was part of the problem last season.
  6. By the end of the s1e2 of GoT, we had been introduced to the Baratheons, the Starks, the Lannisters, the Viserys/Dany/Drogo story, plus side characters like Jorah, Hodor, others I'm forgetting. We'd been to Winterfell, King's Landing, the Wall, The Kingsroad, Essos... Not trying to disparage the current show, but the scope and scale of GoT was much bigger.
  7. Definitely did not think the episode was bad, but it was a bit of a cooler after that pretty hot start. There is a lot of small council and small council adjacent type stuff. Lots of meetings in rooms or out on the castle grounds. Scope-wise, we're cooped up in the castle a lot and not seeing other places/stories. Maybe that will change. Speaking of other stories, one thing that is sorely missing is humor. This series could really use a Tyrion, Bronn, or Jamie. Right now there's like none of these guys. Even just the way some of the characters addressed each other jumped out at me as feeling kind of off. Like are we in Middle Earth or Westeros right now?
  8. was watching that game at the official Texas Exes bar in LA. The Satellite service at the bar went out literally as the ball was being snapped for our final FG attempt. The timing was movie-like. Whole place erupted in disbelief. Someone ended up standing on a chair and doing play by play via a cell phone call. I even remember a second eruption of disbelief when he shouted, “last play of the game…Hail Mary…incomplete!” Everybody cheered! “No wait, there’s a flag!” We committed a roughing the passer penalty on the last play of the game.
  9. Gibson went for like $40 in our $200 auction draft this morning (think his avg. dollar amount was like $15-20). We’re all asking the guy who took him if he has an alibi.
  10. This is the guy some still insist on cheerleading.
  11. Really bummed I missed the second half. Had to run an errand at halftime and got stuck in some major traffic. Also, just wanted to say I’m proud of you all for making all the jokes I wanted to hear and/or make.
  12. Yeah, those ducks he's floating up work against the Northwesterns and Texas Techs. Not so much against good competition.
  13. I appreciate the thoughtful analysis and perspective on Sark's previous career stops. The Herman vs. Sark debate in the practice thread had me thinking about it. I get that coaching is ultimately a zero-sum game, but there can be a lot more to measuring performance than the W/L column. I know 5-7 is most likely a data point that portends a three or four-and-out type coach, but didn't we have leads in the second half of every game during that 6 game losing streak? How close were we to going 7-5 instead of 5-7? Would everyone be freaking out if we went 7-6/8-5 with a bowl appearance? I still think he's an upgrade over Herman. And btw, if Herman's a good coach - clearly better than Sark - why, after 19 months and a full offseason cycle, is he slummin it on CBS Sports D-Team? Yeah, yeah yeah, he won a Sugar Bowl. Charlie Strong won one, too.
  14. I thought of a Sopranos quote after the news yesterday (starts at 2:30): "And what did you do?! Nothing! Zero! A big fuckin' jerkoff!"
  15. When I first saw the Rhaenyra actress, my thought was they did a good job casting someone looks just a wee bit inbred.
  16. I chuckled at that shot of Rhaenyra watching Daemon fight. She had this gleeful, euphoric look on her face. Like damn girl, you're not even a little bit worried about your uncle right now?
  17. Did I just forget HBO axed a 30 million dollar pilot? I went into this thinking it was that "set 1000 years before GoT" series I read about in like 2019. IOW I was just checkin the specs on the end line for the rotary girder... I'm definitely ready to be all in on this. My initial thoughts were wow... this feels promising. Whatever expectations I had felt met by the end. Enjoyed the Easter eggs, weaving the old theme into a new score, the callback to the prophecy, etc. Probably some stuff I missed too.
  18. So you think the Jimmy McGill character never changed? He just changed his name to Saul Goodman because of money?
  19. Saul isn't a "sociopath." Everything you listed affected him. You didn't think he was struggling to go on as if everything was normal after the desert? Do you remember the look on his face when Howard got shot? It's been a while since Chuck, but I recall him being quietly devastated when he found out what happened. I mean...why do you think Jimmy McGill became Saul Goodman?
  20. Patiently waiting for this Geoff Ketchum to comment on the situation.
