  1. It's more a case of they can buy black, white, silver paint in bulk because 90% of their sales will be in that color. Buying in bulk is cheaper.
  2. Neers getting their shit pushed in.
  3. My dad told my sister that he'd like to host Christmas at his house. The issue is that my sister's adult son (29 & unemployed) lives with our dad and is a slob. She's going to try to talk dad into having Christmas at her house instead.
  4. My wife, 2 kids and I went in for passports on 10-7 and 10-8. They said it would be 16 weeks, one of my kids got hers back in 2 weeks. Crazy fast. Still waiting for the other three.
  5. Damn, I didn't even try to monetize this. I'm leaving money on the table! Seriously, I was texted that pic and had no idea it was fake. Life goes on.
  6. Sorry, someone just sent me that pic, I don't have a link.
  7. Reckless endangerment charge incoming?
  8. Nobody will even get in, Bob Stoops will bar the door from the inside.
  9. #BREAKING A senior law enforcement officials tells @NBCNews @PeteWilliamsNBC what appears to be partial human remains have been found in the Carlton Reserve in an area previously underwater. The remains were found near a backpack consistent with items Brian Laundrie may have had
  10. This makes sense to me, as most teachers are female. I don't think it's some kind of conspiracy, I just think it's natural for women to structure things in a manner that appeals to, or would benefit other females.
  11. I remember getting all kinds of shots in boot camp. They didn't ask any questions, just ushered us through a curtain and 2 Filipina corpsman (corpswomen?) attacked from both sides with pneumatic needle guns. Got a shot in the ass, to boot. Wandered back outside with a sore ass cheek, blood dripping from both shoulders.

    Getting old sucks

My mom and grandmother would write each other all the time, as my dad was career military and we were never close enough to visit. One day, I came home to find my mother crying. I was a self-absorbed teen and didn't say anything. I asked my dad later and he said my mom got a letter from my grandmother, telling her that the Alzheimer's had gotten to the point where she could no longer write, so this was her last letter. I can't imagine how that must've felt.
  13. I got selected when I was 18 or 19, medical malpractice lawsuit. This lady claimed that she had been rendered sterile due to faulty care from this doctor. I got booted because both of my parents had or did work in the medical field. I've never been called again and I doubt I will, having worked in law enforcement and now working for the state. I know it's changed now but I remember the jury duty pay in Oklahoma back then (1992) was $6 a day. I missed three days of work to "earn" $18. I used most of that to pay for parking.
  14. It's funny, I think about that a lot but...I also enjoy sitting on my ass and not doing anything to fend that off. One day, something's gotta give. You seem to have really enjoyed your dealings with Gen. Powell. He seemed like a genuinely good guy. I'm sorry for your loss, seriously.
  15. Pull your thong out of your ass, I wasn't attacking you. As a tall/big guy (6'6" 275), I think about shit like this and I was curious what you meant and I think I was on the same wavelength.
  16. Curious what you mean by this. His height/weight ratio? I didn't think he was an absurdly big guy, but I honestly don't know.
  17. I'm 48 years old and Texas has one title in my lifetime. So you're right, I won't be expecting it.
  18. Didn't play Texas, didn't play ou, didn't win his division. He got lucky as hell with the schedule that year.
  19. Where I live, your shelter gets recorded at the city so they'll know to come looking for your ass after a tornado wipes out your neighborhood. Maybe that's just an Oklahoma thing but it makes too much sense for it to only happen here. This place ain't exactly on the cutting edge.
  20. I agree and I don't want to come across like I'd just cover up my kids' crimes in the same manner that I'd just take out my own garbage. If this was my son, I'd probably be in the hospital right now. You just never know how much anyone can take when it comes to a crisis. Maybe these parents are raging assholes that should be shunned from society. Maybe they're just so worried about their kid that they have to keep busy and working in the yard helps them stay sane. I don't know.
  21. Not sure if you have grown children but eventually, you have to emotionally disconnect just a tad. At least, I do. If I let myself dwell on some of the stupid decisions my kids make that I cannot control, I'll have an ulcer or heart attack in no time. I had a panic attack once, no desire to go down that road again. And no, that doesn't mean I'm down to cover up murders with my kids but we don't know what kind of an asshole this guy has been to his folks over the years, or what kind of bullshit he's put his parents through. Maybe they've quietly reached their breaking point and gardening is what's keeping them sane.
  22. My twins got a 2001 Honda Accord (wife's old car she bought in 2002) and a 2012 Ford Fusion (uncle died, my dad bought it and gave it to the kid). The Honda died last year, I replaced it with a 2017 Hyundai Elantra, $9500. Fuck buying my kids a new car.
  23. The problem with this is that the average football fan (like myself) doesn't give a flying fuck about that shit. I watch football to relax on the weekends. If I want to worry about shit like this, I can just go to work. I don't care what millionaire dipshits email to each other.
  24. I'm pretty confident that won't happen on saturday.
