  1. Matt Mackowiak is a skeletor looking, inflated sense of self importance cunt face and has been since high school. That dude is the worst of us.
  2. Most of the ones I get are like your more "sophisticated" example, very few of the former. Regardless, they get ignored all the same. And it's still boilerplate.
  3. I don't know about cold emails, but cold calls working off a lead list would convert anywhere from 2-5% depending on the industry in my experience. Most of these cold emails require 0 human effort - it's just boilerplate templates, sent to a bank of leads (paid for or farmed/scraped), loaded into a CRM marketing module where the CRM does all the work.
  4. 3W more than any club in my bag is so shaft dependent. I finally found what works for me (Fujikora Motore Speeder Tour - only shaft where I like the heavy version) and it doesn't give a damn what the head is, that bitch is turning right to left with a mild draw every damn time.
  5. I get it, who wouldn't pass up a trip to Hawaii as a college kid? But fuck, that's some elite culture shit we got cooking. More so than.... any coach we've had? I can't with a straight face say that Mack's teams had this level of commitment to each other. And DKR would be a tough compare, just too different of a time. So fucking awesome to see.
  6. Correct.
  7. Big Sahith fan. Seems like a really good dude based on Full Swing. Another creative player that shapes everything. Fun shot after fun shot. Rooting for him tomorrow.
  8. Born and raised in Austin. Three degrees from UT (humble brag), wife born and raised in Texas, mostly in Austin, graduate of Trinity. Both my girls were born in the same hospital I was in Austin. My parents are here. Wife's parents are here. We're about as rooted in this community, this state, as you can get. I've told both kids if you can get into UT then great, consider it. But if not, leave the state and/or country and you have our promise of support and a parental visit whenever you feel you need one. And when they do leave, we're getting the fuck out as well unless something material changes in the next 8 years. It just boggles my mind how 180 I've gone on this state.
  9. Echoing @HouTex - great course, fun layout. Try to find a good Airbnb on the lake and just drive 20m to the course rather than stay at the course. A lot more comfortable that way.
  10. This is the way.
  11. Maybe people will finally watch a non weekend round of a golf tournament now.
  12. Ok cool, different definitions then. All good, carry on!
  13. What about 10 wins, including three majors, in 3 years?
  14. So yes you'd consider Scheffler a fluke? (in my hypothetical above)
  15. Maybe we just have different definitions of fluke. 1 major and otherwise fairly non existent - fluke. Dominating juniors, NCAA, and winning 3 majors within the first 4 (5?) years on the PGA - that's a long, strong, steady run of power. If Scheffler falls off a cliff next year thru 2029, is the run he's been on since juniors to 2024 a fluke in your book?
  16. He's always been a head case, at least on the surface for the viewing public - who knows what's going on internally. Regardless, he dominated every level of golf from juniors up until 2017. I'd hardly call that a fluke. A fluke is Danny Willet in 2016 in April.
  17. 36 watch.
  18. I agree - other than it's length, it isn't showing much character. 6 and 7 are interesting to some extent, though bordering on gimmicky. Everything else feel cookie cutter especially with what appear to be receptive greens.
  19. His is different, a lot more subtle, no orange. Basically, a stock SS but with a Longhorn logo. I don't see his on the SS site.
  20. Xander running away with this already and other than Scottie, this morning wave feels like the stronger wave. Also, how do I get a Super Stroke grip with the Longhorn logo on it like Jordan's?
  21. Team Iomic here, sticky 2.3s plus an extra wrap.
  22. Why regrip a wedge? At that point, the upgrade from new grooves is going to be massive. My 18 month old Cleveland zip core 60 vs a new SM9 was night and day. Unless you're talking about wedges at the short end of an iron set vs the softer purpose built wedges like an SM9 or Zip Core. Agreed on your short game approach - same technique, different lofts based on how much carry vs roll I want. A 60 + 50 covers me for everything inside 50 yards.
  23. I'm similar with my short game in general - the more technical, the worse off I get. For putting these days, I focus on getting myself aimed right but otherwise, it's pull the trigger and hit the ball, good tempo. Wedge game is the exact same - get aimed right, good tempo, hit the damn ball.
  24. The fact you made it a whole weekend with that grandpa speaks volumes of your character, sir.
  25. What's the word for this kind of post? Oh right... Toxic.
