  1. Come on Ferrari, just keep both cars between Max and Perez and maybe this will keep things interesting for a while. We're all counting on you (that usually goes well).
  2. Do multiple sand + primes or you'll just end up with white cabinets with oaky grain. There are primers out there that are geared towards really raising the grain so you can knock it back in one sanding pass but the process is at least sand + prime + sand + prime IMO. That oak grain is just gnarly to hide.
  3. Wow. The most humble of humble brags I've seen in quite a while.
  4. Well... This practice session is giving a lot more hope than testing did. Surely the RB isn't running THAT weak of an engine mode two sessions in a row, right? Max is 0.5s slower than Ham on a supposed quali sim run and 4 drivers between the two of them.
  5. If you're in Austin, Shear Emporium (Roger) does great work on blade sharpening and is a woodworker as well, though almost 100% hand woodworking. He geeks out when other woodworkers stop by. He should be able to look at the blades and tell you if they have enough metal to be sharpened without rendering the blade useless.
  6. He was running the softs which I think of the potential top 4 teams, only McLaren did that as well and Danny Ric's time was later in the day once the track was more rubbered in. Still was an impressive time but I'm not reading much into it other than he's faster than Yuki.
  7. You could replace Horner with Sporty Spice and Max is still going to win by 15s.
  8. Do you need motor replacement parts or blade replacement? I assume the jointer must be a straight blade vs. spiral/helical cutter head so you could even just have the blades sharpened instead of replaced. Replacement straight blades are generally cheap too (just did this on our planer). Lots of options for blade replacement. Motor replacement would be a different animal given the age of those tools.
  9. Looks like a tank, love the colors, metals, and screws. If they had used a different font for the numerals, I'd be sold. I'd just look at that and think it's "G o'clock", which sounds like a rap lyric.
  10. So in what scenario would you want to post a bond and stay the execution of the judgement - you're afraid the other party is going to spend your money or otherwise make it more difficult to recover? The more I learn about the law, the more I want to ensure I never have to deal with it beyond reasonable.
  11. Echoing this - pure on walnut is awesome. I sand to 220 for Rubio but that's probably more than necessary really. I think they recommend 180-220 and no more - it apparently needs a little grit to help adhere. Which is another huge benefit not having to wet sand all the way to 400 (fuck off, poly).
  12. I'm nearly 100% Rubio these days. Love the ease, look, and sheen.
  13. DTS... Overdramatized, overproduced, pandering. Whatever. I still watch it and I love it. Can't wait to dive into this season.
  14. Maybe my memory is fuzzy, but I don't recall Bahrain being bumpy enough to cause THAT many sparks. Are the cars running lower and/or is porpoising back?
  15. We know you're not alone. That's why I think this country is less safe and less secure than it has been in a long time.
  16. Oh no, he cited polls as evidence. Everyone take cover!
  17. I know, I know, it's only Day 1 but Max is making mincemeat of the field... Again. And judging by the comments, there are definitely a lot of full racing laps happening. Ominous signs of a repeat of 2023.
  18. There are services that will refurb the strap and get rid of the slack. I think it ends up slightly cheaper and you get to keep the original.
  19. Don't be a dolt. The signing of scorecards is a pointless exercise on tour. No one is trying to cheat by turning in an incorrect card - they'd never get away with it. I get why it's needed elsewhere.
  20. Some of the rules in this game are just stupid.
  21. They've already expelled one. They have no problem eating their own and this one causes headaches for the GOP.
  22. I think there are plenty of McCarthy loyalists who are still pissed at how things went down that are chomping at the bit to knock a few foreheads off this guy. If they did it to a cross dresser, they can do it to a backstabbing 6 head.
  23. I think that's the beauty of that hole - hitting at the hole is a bad shot. I can almost guarantee Tiger did not intend that line and he knew what was coming. If you want to go for that green, you have to hit a cut and enter from the left. It takes an inch perfect shot to have a putt at eagle which is how a short par 4 should be. I think 10 is one of my favorite holes, at least from a spectator's standpoint.
  24. Spieth and Pitter Patter are putting on a putting show. Fun to watch.
  25. You're cherry picking parts of my post now. Read the last paragraph. Pick your stat. The Niners D regressed almost down the board. (Edit: went and actually looked, passing D was slightly better, run D way worse, overall worse... again, with better players this year). And if you still think PPG is a better determination of defensive effectiveness than advanced stats like EPA, then you don't understand stats. PPG is also a measure of your opponents offensive effectiveness. EPA at least attempts to adjust for that to isolate the defense. Sorry it's too "nerdy" for you to wrap your head around.
