  1. I just watched the Junior season tapes of Andrew Mukuba and Devin Lemear back to back. I think Lemear might actually be the better safety prospect. He reads and reacts to the play faster than Mukuba, and has a great feel for the game in general. Look how many PBUs he had in a single season, pretty impressive. He reminds me a bit of Chris Brown. I'm not sure that Mukuba is a better safety prospect than receiver prospect. He looks a lot like Kelvontay Dixon as a WR. I would be plenty happy if we received both of their commitments and just treated Mukuba as an Athlete recruit.
  2. He's elite. Wish we would recruit him.

    Coffee Shops

Check out Tiny House Coffee. Their cold brew is the best I've ever had, and they deliver.
  4. Their fries are great. You just have to eat them right away. Some of y'all think that fast food should still be good 20 minutes after it has been made and steaming in a bag. You eat that in your car or at the restaurant, you don't take it home.
  5. I'd rather have Bryce Stephens than any of those guys, and we haven't even offered him yet. I don't understnd our WR recruiting strategy this year.
  6. Presley looks faster, and might be a better athlete overall, but he doesn't show very good footwork setting up the DB. Cain has great footwork, as does M. Jackson. Presley also only runs go routes and screens. Cain runs quite a few different routes and shows that he is a willing and competent blocker. There is a lot more to being a good WR than just being fast and athletic.
  7. Presley's hudl is not clearly superior to Cain's, or we wouldn't be having this conversation. I'm nonplussed by him and Ketron. I think there are better recievers out there that we haven't even offered. I think we should be offering quite a few more guys this cycle than we normally do.
  8. Ketron Jackson and Presley aren't all that great though. I'm not sure Cain is worse than either of them. Michael Jackson and Alexis both look pretty good though.
  9. With our lackluster WR recruiting so far I thought I'd look for some under-recruited and/or regional guys that I think we should offer. First up is Dominic Lovett. He is certainly not under-recruited, but he is from a state that we've had some recruiting success in and a place that I wish we would recruit more heavily. He has great speed and quickness with the ability to stop and start on a dime. Can play inside or outside. Bryce Stephens reminds me of a taller Jalen Reagor. He is good at everything: receiveing, rushing, returning, and even playing DB. My final player to highlight is recent TCU commit Chase Jackson. It's clear that the recruiting services are not giving Oklahoma prospects the credit that they deserve. This guy is 6'2", has great wheels, long arms, and soft hands. All three of these guys have the potential to be elite and I hope we offer them ASAP.
  10. Looks pretty good and is fast enough to house multiple punt returns.
  11. Elijah Bean doesn't look like much of a receiver at this point. More of an athlete who may or may not ever turn into a receiver.

    Sammiches

Damn, that place was so good.
  13. Quentin Griffin is the only one I remember being that small. Could be wrong though.
  14. 247 had a good article out today about the fastest prospects in Texas. Everyone knows that Camar Wheaton and LJ Johnson are the cream of the crop, but there are some really good second level guys this year in Texas. There were three RBs on the list that caught my eye. Take a look at the film for DQ James. He backed up Kevontre Bradford last year and gets to showcase this year. He's built like a bowling ball and can really fly. Reminds me of a certain OU RB that used to burn us regularly. Jordan Jenkins is an East Texas kid who looks built enough to play college ball this year. He runs a bit too upright many times, but I love how violent he is. The last RB that stood out to me is JP Martin. He's a slasher with a good combo of speed and power. All of these guys look like better RB prospects than Jonathan Brooks. Brooks has great vision and cut-back ability, but looks slow playing 3A competition. I hope if we take him that it is as an OLB/ATH rather than a true RB.
  15. I've read that milk in your coffee doesn't mess up IF. God I hope that's true, because I'm right there with you. I don't like black coffee much, and have a cup with warmed whole milk every morning.
  16. There are two 5 star recruits at Miami Palmetto this year, at least for now.
  17. Mi Ranchito in Manchaca is great. They have really good tortas and tamales. Texas Keeper Cidery is also in Manchaca. Fantastic dry cider and really beautiful grounds, especially in the spring time. There's a Taco Palenque in New Braunfels. It's nice to get a pirata on your way up to Austin. The Root Cellar Cafe in San Marcos is pretty decent too.

    BBQ

    Brown's' ribs are stellar.
  19. Cry? No. Your response was just listing sterotypes. I don't think of America as being white and christian, and I don't think of China as only being Han. I understood your point, but I think it is extremely reductionist.
  20. I could swear I saw Adimora at corner in the bowl game. I might be wrong though.
  21. We have Marquess Caldwell, Kenyatta Watson, Kitan Crawford, and Chris Adimora (recruited as a safety, but played corner this year) as freshmen, redshirt freshman and sophomore corners. No need to include Boyce or potentially Woodard. Even if Cook, Green, and Jamison all leave after next year we would still have decent depth. Hopefully we land three CBs next year. I'm not saying I only wanted one CB prospect this year, but it's not the end of the world.
